Mariscos El Flay

Craving something different. Wanted to try some seafood. We had the ceviche scallops, octopus and shrimp combo, fish cracklings with guacamole, house quesadillas, and shrimp wrapped in bacon. All were tasty and service was attentive. Only downside is they do not serve alcohol.

Food: 5/5- Tostada campechana was refreshing! The seafood had great texture- marlin quesadilla was so good! Couldn't compare to an ordinary quesadilla tbh but I would recommend giving it a try! Perfect texture and juicinessService: 5/5- We were the only other customers after 1 other table. This was the first day after the grand opening so service was as expectedAmbiance: 5/5- in the corner of the shopping district with open walls. Although there was mild construction across the intersection it didn't really ruin our Tuesday afternoon. Price: 4/5- on the pricier end. The quality justifies this price though

Holy moly. This place is absolutely not worth going to, unless you like overpriced, undercooked food with awful service. We waited 25 mins before anyone even approached our table and that was after i got up and asked for a server. I ordered a $10.50 shrimp taco and took one bite and the tortilla was so hard i could barely chew it- it was rank. The chips and yellow salsa weren't even good either. The bar had stacks of dirty cups piled up and I watched one table actually leave because a server never came to their table. Appalled at the lack of service, taste and overall atmosphere.

Friday lunch date with the hubby and decided to head over to westgate and found Mariscos El Flay that served Mexican good and they were not busy. We sat on the patio since we had our fur baby with us and the staff was very friendly and offered suggestions for our food. We order the fried fish which was a 10/10; the seafood soup and it was a huge bowl but very delish. Overall the food was good but a little pricey IMO.

Early Friday afternoon dinner. I won't complain about slow service as we were the only table besides a group of 16 that required most of the attention. I get it. First impression was holy crap this is expensive! I got a shrimp (bland) and a marlin (unbelievably greasy) taco. Meh. My wife got a chicken quesadilla and couldn't eat it because the meat was full of fat and gristle. They exchanged it without question for a cheese quesadilla. The soda was cold.

I ordered chips and guacamole and a lemonade. The menu shows lemonade is $3.99 and yet I was charged $4.50. Why? No answer. I'm guessing a scam. The guacamole was made with no salt added so it was terrible. However, it was not as bad as the hard stale tortilla chips, also apparently sans salt, that it came with. If this is their best effort I am going to abstain from other items and I won't be returning.

We were craving mariscos on a Sunday afternoon and came here. We ordered one plate of ceviche curtido and another plate of ceviche cocido with crackers and tostadas on the side. Good service and food was great. Environment was great as well. Definitely coming back!

The food was very bland, exaggeratingly expensive!!!I ordered breaded shrimp. For $27.00 I got 5 medium butterflied shrimp, very flavorless rice and the salad consisted of a handful of chopped romaine lettuce...NOTHING ELSE!!! Their salsa is very watered down. We also ordered a steak street taco ..$5.00. Never going back!!!

Hands down great food and friendly environment I highly recommend anyone to come here for some great authentic mariscos

Food was super good! They have alot of stuff on the menu to choose from the staff was super nice and very attentive the owner is very friendly will be going back there we didnt even have to wait to be seated
