Mariposa Taqueria

Ate here about 3 years ago and remember it being just fine. Considered going back again but serious sticker shock! Seriously, $15 - $16 for 2 chicken tacos?? There are a hundred really good taco shops and trucks between Bellingham and Everett where you can get 3 delicious authentic tacos for $6 - $9 dollars. Much friendlier service, too!Skip this place.

I don't know why I waited so long to go here. I always heard that it was good. I love how it is so small and intimate inside. I really feel like I walked into someone's home kitchen and sat at their table. The food was amazing and filling. I could see sitting outside ( not on a rainy, windy day) and just enjoying filling my belly.

The food used to be amazing and worth overlooking the high price point. I really looked forward to their reopening and when they did I went out of my way to come here. This recent meal of a boring red mole with zero complexity for $25 was sad. Not sure what's happening here in the kitchen. Did the main cook leave?

I really enjoyed my lunch here. Very simple but cool vibe to the place and an open kitchen so you can see the chefs do there thing. The birria tacos were very good and a bit more elevated than the typical gut bomb these can be. The consommé for dipping was really delicious and I loved that they were served with a perfectly ripe 1/2 avacado. My wife got something that was essentially puréed potatoes and cheese that she made little tacos with that was quite yummy.

I absolutely love Mariposa! If you want a trendy swanky upscale place, this isn't for you. If you want great food, and service from staff who remember your name and you haven't been there in months, this is your place. They started serving breakfast recently and I can say the Chilaquilles is a must, the best I have ever had. No one left hungry after our lunch today

Stopped here for lunch and had breakfast. Huevos Mariposa and it was so delicious. Lots of flavors bursting in my mouth and different choices of host sauce. The service is fabulous and the day was beautiful so sitting outside is spot on! Highly recommend this place! The town it is quaint - parking is hard to come by so plan ahead.

Great service and delicious food! We ordered the tacos that were build it yourself style. I didn't quite care for the pork belly style carnitas, but that's a personal preference.

Very good food and vibes. Had the vegan plate with fresh corn tortillas, guacamole, charred veggies, rice and beans. my friend had steak tacos and enjoyed as well.

Healthy and delicious food, excellent service and fabulous ambiance. First time here and very impressed.

Don't go here. I go here, you don't go here. (This is the best Mexican in the valley, I would appreciate if you don't ruin it for me by making it so crowded that I can't go here.)
