WARNING: CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS OR AVOID GOING HERE!!!!My dad went to this restaurant the other day with his girlfriend. First of all, the tacos he ordered came out with burnt meat and taco shells harder than the chips you get with salsa. Then the bill arrives and he gave the waiter his card. The waiter went off around the corner and came back with the receipt saying, "sign here", pointing to the signature line. My dad noticed that the waiter had taken it upon himself to add a 25% gratuity to the bill and when he questioned the man, the manager came over and tried to lie by saying "that's the suggested tip", when it was already added to the total. First of all, a tip isn't a requirement and it is most definitely NOT the decision of the waiter or anyone else in that restaurant. Adding gratuity is at the discretion of the customer. Frankly, my dad always tips in cash anyway. To take it upon themselves to add the tip is theft and credit card fraud. This business should be ashamed of itself and the people involved should be fired. If I were the owner, I would not want a dishonest person working in my establishment, tarnishing my reputation. The lack of integrity and human decency these days is astounding.

-Go to a taco shop better.-Food was mediocre and old.-We went on a Friday afternoon (party of 6, 3:45pm), there was only 2 other teenagers the whole time we were there.

All of a sudden there is a credit card charge or 1.19!????? Imagine if they had a 100 customers per day And they charge $1.19 per customer to use a credit card. That's 119.00 a day. Over 3000.00- month. How much are these credit card machines or services actually charge the restaurants to use it ??This is another ploy from them to try to make moneyTwo years ago, I stopped going because they were charging three dollars to share a mealThey took that awayAnd now they've added credit card chargesDo better Marietta's!!!

The food here is good. We love the Chios and the salsa go with it. It's very crunchy and the red salsa is spicy but not too spicy.My husband got the meat balls soup and it's good. It's perfect for the cold weather. Enchiladas is great. I love both chicken and beef.Great customer service.

This place is legit! Mexican food in San Diego is something special to start with, this place does not disappoint. Take a seat and order a margarita first. It's one of the places where I know I can order a house Rita and be happy with it. But the food is why I'm there. It's not often I can get great food and margarita, this places breaks that rule wide open. I love their red enchilada sauce, especially on a wet burrito. Marita's, I'll see you next week!!!

Service is fine. Food is not good. The chile rellano breading was soggy, and way too eggy. The salsa was too salty. The chicken enchilada was forgettable.

This is a place that I haven't been in years, but it was recommended by friends that I returned. It's a cute location that is decorated in a Mexican theme, which is very appropriate. They have a gentleman that goes around with his guitar and plays Mexican songs. He's very good. We got the two taco combo to split. One was Carne Asada and one was Barbacoa. We also split a chimichanga. The Carne Asada was very good. The Barbacoa had big hunks of me. It was a little bit more dry than I'm used to, but I think was more authentic than I'm used to. The chimichanga was very good. Beans and rice. Also good. Service was, very nice. They were busy, but the servers were attentive. And we got in and out of there pretty quickly.

Good food good serves average price.I would recommend this place for a site down restaurant and I think the only one in santee

We've been going to Marieta's in Santee since 1987. Why? We like their excellent food, (tacos, enchiladas and burritos are out favorites), with the best salsa (spicy or mild) and chips anywhere. Also the staff members, Felix, Pedro, Louis, Roberto, Monaca, Naomi, Crystal, etc., have been there for years, are very friendly, and accommodating.
