I can back to Maria Sabina and got the following three tacos: Quesabirria, Shrimp, and Beef Brisket. I actually liked the Shrimp taco the best, and the Quesabirria second best.I had a blueberry margarita that was pretty good. Next time I think I'll try the classic margarita.Luckily we were able to sit at the Hightop tables in the open air and look out at the lake and watch the boats and see people jumping into the water. Maria Sabina is a great place to be on a beautiful day.

I was trying to make a birthday dinner reservation for Cinco de Mayo and most spots in the area were already booked over a week in advance, but I am so happy I stumbled upon Maria Sabina! They were able to take an online reservation for 10, and were very friendly + accommodating when I called in to up the party size to 11. They called day of to confirm the party size and were also cool with me resizing the reservation (again) to 8. (Trying to get my friends together is like herding cats, sigh.)We had to wait a handful of minutes for our table to be ready but this wasn't a problem as my group slowly trickled in. I'll start off by saying their fresh fruit margaritas (~$16) are DELICIOUS. Order one, order three! Just be careful because they are dangerous. There are many tasty options to choose from, but I went with our waitress's favorite, raspberry, and do not regret this decision. It was subtly sweet and fruity--perfectly balanced in the flavor department. Yum. We also got a couple rounds of shots. The tequila was the "Mexican" option, which I would also recommend.. not too painful, relatively speaking. For appetizers we went with a couple orders of guac ($15 each). Also tasty and fresh. Worth the money honestly. The chips were good too, as was the salsa. I like my salsa with a little kick and that kick was definitely there! They have a couple plant-based taco options, plus the black beans are vegan too soooo hoooray for that! My sister and I both ordered two Summer Squash/Zucchini Tacos aka Calabacitas ($3 each) and one Mushroom Taco ($3), plus the beans ($4). So good. Again. Clearly I can't shut up about this place! The tortillas themselves were very fresh. This amount of food plus the chips and guac/salsa was perfect. My friends seemed to enjoy their dishes as well. Our waitress was killing it. It was a super busy night and she was both efficient and helpful. Not to mention multitasking like no other. The medium-sized interior is casual yet festive. Not quite as boujee as Cactus but the food and drinks are better in my opinion. Needless to say, I've been recommending this place to a lot of people! I'm already looking forward to coming back... especially for those margaritas.

A great open-air Mexican restaurant in SLU right across from MOHAI and Lake Union Park! It is a relatively small, walk-in and seat yourself place with vibrant decor and even a resident cat that I met on my way to the bathrooms. Service was friendly and dishes were normal pricey for the area. Their cochinita pibil is the bomb, so meaty and juicy! My friend and I tried grasshoppers for the first time and agreed that they tasted great: heavily yet deliciously spicy and sour, and well-fried which made them crunchy and surprisingly juicy. The cheese quesadilla so generous, it was more of an entrée than a small plate. And the SLU (coconut rum, mezcal, curaçao, pineapple juice) was satisfyingly strong and sweet with a tropical twist.I'd definitely go back for their happy hour 3-6pm daily!

The food was good but I can't get with a cat freely roaming through an eating establishment and perching on top of the counter and equipment! The food was descent. No cat hairs in my food. However, my burrito seemed to be light on asada steak. It was still tasty but I think it needed more meat.

Why. Have. I. Not. Gone. Here. Sooner!!!First off, they have a Taco Tuesday taco deal that is amazing. $2.50 for their tacos (besides shrimp and birria which are $3.50 on Taco Tuesday). I was able to try all of them and my favorites were the shrimp, birria, and al pastor. But you really cannot go wrong with any of them! They also have a ton of flavor for their margs. Their margs taste so fresh!I can't wait to try their other things on their menu since the tacos are so delish.

Got an asada burrito for takeout and highly enjoyed it. I like my burritos to resemble a brick as much as possible both in shape and weight. I could tell this delivered the second I picked up the bag. There was a healthy serving of meat with salsa, rice, beans, all that jazz. A solid 2 meals worth of mileage for me

My friend and I decided to come to Maria Sabina this past Sunday evening for the first time. I love the staff here as they provided great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere felt welcoming and they had big TVs where they played the Seahawks game. For food, they provided us some chips and salsa for starters. The guacamole salsa was tasty and had some kick to it. I ordered 3 Al Pastor Tacos and my friend ordered 3 Carne Asada Tacos and it came out quick. The food was delicious and authentic.

What a special treat. I came here on a solo adventure, and the hard-working staff made me smile more than anything else. Sure, they were tough on each other for making mistakes, but it was clear how seriously they took good and fasts customer service. I was immediately seated at the bar and helped by what felt like every staff member in the restaurant. I started with the Maria Sabina cocktail. Carefully crafted, perfectly spicy, and wonderfully tasty. A little sweet but just what I wanted. Chips and salsa were dope, pairing well with the two tacos I got. It was honestly a quick stop, but I would go out of my way to bring a friend or partner here again someday and spend more time. Great vibes. Excellent location.

Ambience (3/5) - Casual decent place to catch a quick mealAl Pastor Tacos (3.5/5) - Elevated/Gourmet version of street tacos, I liked the pickles and Radish. Overall the Tacos were good. However personally for me they lacked the authentic Mexican taste. Margaritas (5/5) - The class margarita was pretty good! Service (3/5)
