Located adjacent to the Sea Port Village Carousel and just steps from the harbor is where you'll find Margarita's.The food was delicious!!! The cost was affordable for great portions of fresh and delicious Mexican food. (July/Aug 2024 $4.75/taco, $9.95 for a giant chicken chipotle quesadilla & $7.50 for a hearty portion of guacamole & chips)With three San Diego LOCAL adults eating here we all have very different expectations for Mexican food. ALL of our expectations were exceeded with this place and even my kiddos (who chose burgers elsewhere) wished they'd ordered from Margarita's after trying bites of all of our choices. While I am a local I no longer live in San Diego so whenever I'm back I get as many fish tacos as I can, thus my order of two Baja Fish Tacos. The woman taking our order was very insightful in helping me avoid dairy on my tacos & sides. I also ordered a side of chips & guacamole to share with the table. My parents had an order of 2 Grilled Chicken Tacos and a Chicken Quesadilla. The orders came up quick, even for a busy summer day. The portions were great, no street tacos here, instead normal size packed with protein and veggies. The fish tacos were authentic and fresh, and the veggies were packed on top. Even the tortilla was fresh and soft. My parents were extremely pleased, and full when they finished their entrees. My kiddos asked for bites of all of our food and for being picky eaters, even they were impressed. We all LOVED the chips and guacamole, very authentic, fresh and tasty. For $7.50 I was impressed with the hearty portion of guacamole and chips, although you can never have enough chips. If you find yourself in Sea Port Village looking for some yummy food, I would HIGHLY recommend Margarita's Kitchen & Cantina.

Possibly the 2nd worst Mexican food in San Diego... Ordered Carne Asada burrito, horchata, margaritas on the rocks. No, they only have frozen margaritas. Burrito: They asked me if I wanted beans in it? As a San Diegan, I'm offended. Burrito was average. They also add tomatoes? The tomatoes are not part of the guacamole but inputted separately with guac. How could I tell? Cuz when I split the Burrito with my boyfriend, he got the tomato side, and I got the other. Was not a fan. Horchata. EXTREMELY watered down. It taste like they need to save money to keep the business. Will I go back? Nope. Never. I'll keep the food to the tourists.

We order the corn on the cob Mexican style. But it fell short no line or butter. All they put on it was mayonnaise, cheese and hot sauce. It was a bit crunchy for me meaning it probably wasn't cooked thoroughly. I didn't make a Gus this the line was long. Place is a little pricey for an eehh experience.

Stopped here for a taco and beer. The food came out quickly and the taco was really good and crunchy and hot. There are better tacos elsewhere, this was cabbage heavy, but it did the job.

Traveled to San Diego for business and stayed at Manchester Grand Hyatt. In the evening, I went for a walk in Seaport Village and found Margarita's Kitchen & Cantina in the food court. I ordered two fish tacos and pint of beer for dinner for $20. The fish taco was delicious as I was given a generous portion of beer battered fried fish with a crispy crust and a moist and flaky meat. I highly recommend Margarita's.

The only thing I got from this place was a margarita, and it was a good price but it was very weak. So if you are looking for a small buzz then this would be a great place to get your drink. However, the atmosphere was really nice, it faced the plaza where there are plenty of tables and there was even live music playing on Saturday. The trees and umbrellas created ample shade. It is a very family friendly location, with the Carousel and the waterfront within walking distance.

On our first visit back to Seaport Village, we were excited to try something to munch on from the corner area (near the Merry-Go-Round) that host several different food options. These options also include Ben and Jerrys!Margarita's Kitchen and Cantina looked appetizing, so we decided to get the Carne Asada Nachos and a Carne Asada Burrito (w/no pico sauce). Meh.It wasn't completely terrible but was certainly nothing memorable. For starters, I asked for no pico de gallo sauce on my burrito as I can't stand the taste of it. Guess what was on my burrito? Yup. You guessed it, pico sauce. I even verified twice with the cashier that I did not want pico sauce and got it anyway. Portion size was good, but both items were lukewarm and bland. You couldn't taste any seasoning on the meat at all and, again, the items were lukewarm despite the fact that it wasn't very busy and we waited almost 10 minutes for the food to be ready. This just wasn't a good experience for me, so I have to be honest and give it...2 stars.

Meh... um this is San Diego AND a touristy location., I kinda expect carne asada fries to be good. Carne Asada was ok, but the fact they put beans (!) and cheese sauce , fake guacamole ... i never had a place that messed up carnes asada fries!!

Tried this spot out for the first time this past summer and it was pretty good. I ordered the two baja fish taco combo plate with a strawberry margarita, which was delicious! My husband had a beef burrito with cheese and my daughter had a kids chicken taco plate. Plenty of seating options to enjoy your meal. Service was quick!

I was in line at 8:45 by the window and the lady told me 1 minute and she will be back to take my order and then after 5 minutes she comes back she closes the door and all the windows in our face in a very rude way. I was shocked because we come with the family of 7 people and we come here often for 2 to 3 times a week. I had gone to the side window and asked the other lady why she had closed the door and the windows and said she would be right back in a minute and she also closed the side window without an answer. everybody was very rude terrible service I will never go back again.
