There are limited options close to North Cascade National Park. With COVID still spreading, we were hesitant to dine in but they were sweet to not only allow takeout but also were able to let my husband transact outside (our youngest due to an underlying health condition is high risk for COVID). We were blown away by how good the food was! We all got burgers with fries. The burgers were good and loved the hamburger buns and how fresh the onions, tomato, and lettuce were with it. The fries were scrumptious and we inhaled them too quickly. Our family of four also shared an apple pie slice for dessert. If we lived closer to here (as opposed to two hours away) we would be heading here much more often!

My boyfriend and I stopped here for dinner on the way to Tonasket. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Friday. There were a few other patrons there. We had no trouble placing a carry out order with the friendly woman up front. The time we waited for our food was reasonable. My boyfriend got one of the burgers with the garlic Parmesan fries. I went with the grilled chicken breast sandwich with sweet potato fries. We also decided to share a piece of blueberry cream pie. The burger was solid, as was the pie. The sweet potato fries were pretty good, but it was clear that they weren't made fresh. The garlic on the fries was a little burnt, so that made it slightly bitter. My chicken was tough and unseasoned. I wish I had gone for a burger, but I had steak earlier in the day, so I was trying to stay away from beef. This was really 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 thanks to good service, the burger, and the pie.

They are only open Friday, Saturday & Sunday for lunch and dinner. We stopped by for lunch after hiking in the Cascades. I highly recommend getting the Reuben sandwich on Marbled Rye bread. It has to be one of the best Reuben sandwiches I have had in a long time. Fresh corned beef, 2 slices melted Swiss and it seemed to me like homemade sauerkraut. Delicious. My husband had the Crackling Rose, ( French Dip with bacon and jalapeños) he said it was good. It was one of the most expensive lunches we've had in a while, 2 sandwiches w/fries, 1 soda & 2 pieces of pie, with tip, came to $71.00. Well worth it, I go back there, just for that Reuben alone!

Alright...for those who know me...a diner with comfort food??? Stop. Done. 5 stars!! Lol, yes, I'm guilty. I'm a sucker! Here I was....after spending an entire day hiking wonderful Cascade Pass Trail...to then arrive here at Marblemount Diner at the end of the day....this was the perfect ending in having a home cooked hearty meal!I had just completed almost 10 miles of strenuous hiking down the road at North Cascades National Park. I then drove through this tiny town of Marblemount. And...I had read that Marblemount Diner was highly recommended. I was excited to try this place. When I stopped on by here back in August of this year, 2020 (during the pandemic) it was about 5pm - Thursday and the restaurant was empty. Lol, I guess I was just grateful they were open. But...after being tired from venturing all around on a cold and dreary day...I was craving simple, basic all-American food, and Marblemount Diner delivered with success. From the appearance on the outside of the restaurant, the diner certainly exuded a small, rustic, "mom and pop" type of feel...just the way I like em.I was greeted friendly and sat down immediately. Inside the restaurant...it had a cozy setting decorated with hometown pictures, lots of homages dedicated to being in the outdoors and among nature...and a very quaint "cabin-esque" ambiance set within the quiet mountain town of Marblemount. The menu was simple and basic, not too many options...but I sort of prefered it that way. Just stick to what's good. They had a section of...- Sandwiches- Fried Fish and Chicken- Salads- Kid's Meals- Beverages and Alcoholic Beverages- Desserts. That was it. So for me...I'm easy and can eat anything, and especially since I had built up a huge appetite, I had no issues finding something.I chose the Mushroom Burger - "with sauteed mushrooms dripping in Monterey Jack cheese" for $14.75.The burger also came with fries, lettuce, tomato, onions and a pickle in a basket. I also added a fountain soda. The mushroom burger was pretty big in size and with the fries...it was all quite fulfilling and "hit the spot" satisfying my hiker hunger, lol. Eventually, a little later during my time here the restaurant started filling up. Btw, tables were spread out so everyone was more than 6 feet apart. While eating my meal, I looked back on my photos from the day. I genuinely enjoyed taking my time eating, relaxing, and reflecting on my hiking while digging into a fresh hamburger all within this quiet little diner setting.Had I been visiting and staying in the town of Marblemount longer, I'd happily return to this diner. But just overall, I was enthusiastic about having the chance to end my day here at Marblemount Diner. Within the surroundings of the mountains of North Cascades National Park, for me...it didn't get any better than this!

One of two restaurants open in Marblemount when I visited in August of 2021. Actually came here twice looking for some dessert after a long day of hiking, only found it one day as their pies sell out quick.Food: I only had a slice of their berry apple crumble pie and a glass of milk. Ask them to heat it up for you and it is very tasty pie without being overwhelmingly sweet. They have typical diner food so lots of burgers and sandwiches at a slightly cheaper price than across the street. They have a long beer list for a diner.Service: Like I said I went twice looking for pie. I was not expecting them to run out of every type of pie, especially after having signs advertising them. Also during my first visit I went to order a beer and I decided to ask my waitress for a suggestion since I am unfamiliar with the local brews, she just shrugged and said I don't know. On my second visit I asked the same waitress for a recommendation on the kinds of pies they had, same response. C'mon!Location: Casual diner vibe inside and back patio seating. Plenty of parking out front and right off the main road.

COVID-19 dine-in experience:We were looking for a spot for a late lunch at saw Marblemount Diner on the side of the road, so we decided to stop by. The inside felt like homey like an old cabin. The menu wasn't too extensive, full of sandwiches, burgers, and some fried seafood options. I thought it was a tad pricey with most meals being $14-$18. I wasn't super hungry so my mom and I shared the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and subbed onion rings instead of fries. It was the perfect amount of food! I also liked how the food was very hot when we got it. If I had been more hungry, I definitely would've wanted a milkshake or slice of pie! My only complaint was that we were seated in a booth sandwiched between two other booths. There was a hanging plastic barrier between the the booths, but I would've rather sat further away from other people.

Needed some lunch after visiting the North Cascades National Park and I'm glad we stumbled on this little restaurant! They were SUPER busy on a Saturday in the middle of summer even though it was pretty late for lunch- probably around 3pm. So we did have to wait awhile but since it's one of the few spots outside the national park, we weren't surprised. One of the staff members really loved our pups & we were waiting outside for our takeout and she said next time we can sit out in their back patio. She even brought a little bowl of water while we waited. Deluxe burger was big and had a ton of fries on the side. Also got a yummy milkshake.

Rural WA state (or any state) diner options don't get any better than this. The diner is homey and decorated with lots of local tchotchkes, and servers made us feel like part of the family. Menu is extensive with tons of options from burgers to seafood, salads and plenty of sweet treats like homemade pies and milkshakes. What made this diner stand out for me was that every single thing I ate tasted on point. The clam strip basket featured a generous portion of juicy, tangy strips and well seasoned fries. My companion's fried halibut was light & perfectly crisp, and the coleslaw side tasted divine (though personal preference note--the blue cheese topping was unnecessary). We shared a vanilla malt, superbly creamy and thick, although there are many other flavors to enjoy. Finally, the multi-berry pie dessert was a standout, overflowing with succulent berries atop a light and flaky homemade crust, richly enrobed with decadent portions of both ice cream & whip cream. Whether you're headed into the Cascades for an adventure or in need of a refuel after a long day of exploring, Marblemount Diner is the place to go!

Marblemount Diner was exactly what we were looking for/desperately needed after a quick trip up from Bellingham, WA to the North Cascades National Park. We wanted something with a diverse lineup for lunch, and found it here.First off, their cheese curds hit. And hit good. The flavoring was so on point and the curds were so freshly fried that we just couldn't help but make that face like "dammmn" after every bite. It was accompanied by some delicious marinara too. Next, I had the spicy cheeseburger because I wanted something heavy - they made it extra spicy (as requested) and the flavor was so on point I couldn't help but smile. My wife's fried clam strips were excellent too. Very fresh and the handcut fries didn't hurt. We came in thinking we'd do some of the fresh fruit pie, and wanted to, but the portions were so heavy that we couldn't even consider the idea after all that good eating. It was a great experience overall, and would definitely recommend.

Peanut butter, bacon and pickles on a burger. What kind of inspired insanity is this. Stopped in there on our way to Winthrop. Homemade pies and hand cut fries sign pulled me in. Who can resist homemade Pie!?! Tja5 is where our adventure started. A fresh slice of homemade BlackBerry pie ala mode as an appetizer. Delicious blackberry filling with a light crust. We got a slice that was a bit dark, not my preference, and a bit on the small side for the price, but still a tasty way to start lunch. I split it with my husband which was a good thing because the the peanut butter, pickle and bacon burger came out. Holy Smokes! Dripping with PB goodness this is a hard burger to put down. A heaping side of fries helped mop up all the goodness that dripped into my plate. My husband had the ruben, which was just as mouthwatering.Pro tip: if you like garlic get the hand cut fries with garlic. I think they are a bit extra but worth it. Help support this great local diner next time you're anywhere near marblemount.
