This is my favorite place to go in this city & easily one of the BEST places in Chicago..My wife & I come here all the time & love hanging out at 8 Bar with wonderful staff..They set the standard in Cuisine, Service & AmbienceAny time of the day we come here, it's always fun, specially engaging with the staff. They recently changed their menu in 8 bar & completely elevated to the next level. Cheers Everyone at Maple.. Thank you for so many great memories..

This was my first time at this restaurant and it was pretty good.I recommend getting an rsvp in advance. We sat outside but honestly next time I probably would sit indoors. But you know chicago summer you want to be outside a bit.We tried a few different dishes, the pasta, steak frites, sushi and a salad.They all tasted pretty good and tasted well seasoned. The service was cool but when it gets busy the waiters stop by decreased a lot.def recommend for a date night, friends catching up or a team dinner.

Came in for lunch on a week day, the bar tender was super nice. This is considered one of the best steakhouses in Chicago so my expectation was high. Ribeye is usually my favorite cut, not having a big appetite that day, I opted for a chopped wedged salad and a medium rare filet mignon instead. The salad was a hit, surprisingly it came with an Onion Ring on top. The bacon bits were chunky and juicy, absolutely amazing. Then came the filet, looks stunning I had to take a picture, however it was cooked close to medium rather than medium rare I wanted. Since cut is a lot leaner than ribeye, it was a bit disappointing. The bar tender offered to get me a new one, since I was in a rush for a meeting I turned it down. The decor of this place was very classy, a good place for business meetings for sure. When I get a chance will return for ribeye. Price wise this is more expenuthan the top steakhouse in New York.

Always a celebration when I make reservations here. The Tower Hour, cocktails, and bread w/meatballs. I had the same waitress she was attentive. Another grown and sexy experience in Chicago.

Came here last year to celebrate getting engaged to my now husband. The service was top notch and our waiter was very attentive ensuring that all was going well. The food had such great flavor that just looking back at the pictures makes my mouth water. I'm hoping to go back soon to be able to celebrate new milestones at this location.

You already know the steak and fixings are amazing. Great service and a very interesting vibe. I went for work, so thankfully did not have to pay. Not sure I would go if it was on my own dime, but it is a fun experience.

The ambience is hip, intimate, and romantic. It's a darker dining room but lit with drippy candles and the perfect decibel of music. Our server Sarah was amazing, giving us all the info we needed to select our dinner while also being informative about suggestions. She made our two children feel at home, and they enjoyed the experience. The wagyu experience was a highlight, as was the order of clams. Don't fill up on the complimentary chips with caviar onion dip, because there's also a delicious bread course before your meal arrives. They also serve complimentary cocktails (or mocktails) that were a huge hit. The potatoes were delicious and our steaks were perfectly cooked. We would absolutely recommend this for a celebration or if you're looking for a very nice steak dinner. Be prepared to spend the $$$$ but it's well worth it.

Before reading my review please note that 1. I usually don't leave reviews unless it's really good OR really bad LOL.2. I also think that anything overhyped never meets the expectations With that being said, I am giving the restaurant a 10/10. I had to call to schedule a reservation bc i couldn't schedule it online and they were able to fit my group in and keep me updated via text. They did so in a very professional and nice matter.The food was really good - steak was cooked to perfection, sides were great and the seafood tower was worth the hype. BUT JOHN!! Our amazing server who made my 37th birthday extra special is who really did it for us. He was funny, kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable! Went beyond and over to make sure we had the best time- Hi John and thank you!

Hello my name is Shawn I'm the founder of a Anti violence not for profit organization by the name of house of hope foundation where I mentor young at-risk youth . but today was probably one of the worst days of my life ,,my day started off perfect I received a call from a few friends that said they wanted to go out for dinner and a few drinks so we decided to try out the recommended Mable and ash restaurant down town Chicago Gold Coast area , our reservations was booked for 5pm but we made it a bit early so we decided to just sit down stairs and have a few cocktails and appetizers until our table upstairs was ready now right at 5clk we decided to go upstairs all 8 guest as soon as we was walking off the elevator I was approached very aggressively by 3 or 4 security guards and a few managers I was told to step to the side in front of everyone watching the manager and security then begin to say that I was carrying a loaded gun and the gun had fell from my waste and a witness said a child pick the gun up ,, I was so confused I stated to the security and managers that I do not own a fire arm and they have the wrong person the female Manager by the name of Meghan Mcneil was very aggressive and rude I repeatedly told her they have the wrong person and I do not own a gun but she continue to embarrass me and humiliated me in front of strangers and friends and staff she then stated I will have to leave the premises due to their rules I then had to raise up my shirt pull up my jacket and plead with them that they was accusing the wrong man,,, I then asked them very respectfully why am I being accused? Where is the witness? they all refuse to answer me. I asked them did they review the cameras they stated they didn't have time that they had to move quickly so I stated out of this full restaurant you just approached a tall black man and accused him of having a gun in the presence of friends and kids after debating back-and-forth with Security and management my friends and family decided to join in and ask them why was I being harassed? they didn't stated to him. It was a big misunderstanding that they was told that I was carrying a gun on me and the gun fell on the floor my friends and family then ask Security why was I randomly picked out of the full restaurant? and once again no answer,, for the record I am a violence interrupter, a peacekeeper through out of Chicago, Illinois. I save kids lives. I was humiliated disrespected and embarrassed at this establishment I was given no sincere apology just told that it was a mistake for the record. I do not recommend eating at this establishment. we still decided to dine in because of the long wait our food was rushed and undercooked and we was treated like criminals with security standing around our tables always watching us this experience, a very traumatizing and disrespectful I have contacted a attorney due to me being racially profiled ,, thank you God bless for any comment my number is 312-487-6815 Google me @ no kids die in the chi

I rarely write reviews, but after my visit here I really felt the need to leave one. My family was celebrating 2 birthdays with some very picky eaters, which can make dining out an unpleasant experience. We really do not do it that often. They often go in expecting to be disappointed, but then we met our server that evening. Her name was Alondra. She was simply the best. She took the time to explain the menu and talk to my pickiest of eaters and I just cannot tell you what a difference that made. The food was excellent, the cocktails were perfect and our service was simply outstanding! Thank you Maple & Ash, job well done
