Manuel's Mexican Restaurant & Cantina - Bell Rd

Aloha Hawaiians,A few days ago a guy at my gym told me to go here it's great. When I got there the parking lot was big and packed. Thank goodness I got a Lyft. I opted to eat at the bar so I could take in all the sports action and drink action. Moscow Mule and chilaquiles winning combo. Hot and comforting and crunchy, whopping amounts of cheese. I love hot lava hot in temperature for food if it's not hot I'm not happy. It was worth every penny, I followed it up with a sweet tamale. Would I come back again, yes.

I normally went to Manuel's on Cave Creek and love that, unfortunately, they closed their doors. Everyone said to go to Manuel's on Shea Blvd, this place was horrible and it doesn't even have a Mexican theme. It's too modernized. The salsa taste like tomato sauce. Margarita I ordered was presented in a glass not a margarita glass and tasted terrible. Our old waiter from the Cave Creek store was there Bryant and we mentioned to him the food was horrible. Hopefully he let them know It doesn't matter, as we will not be going back.So the last one we're gonna try is on belt And Our food server was Taylor, she did an awesome job and we were very impressed with her. The food was just like the one on Cave Creek. The salsa was really salsa. The margarita we got was a coca piña and it was great. You can tell this will be our regular stop from now on. Don't take my word for it and go try it for yourself and ask for Taylor.

The group I went with really enjoyed our lunch. Service was good, waitress didn't rush us, and offered to bring us separate checks ( group of 7).Several ladies have been eating here for years. One of them always gets the red chili burro enchilada style, so I went for that. Flavor was good, rice and beans were good and I really liked the salsa picante that comes with the chips.I'll be back.

First time at Manuel's and it did not disappoint! Service was friendly and prompt-- we did not go without a full glasses and an endless supply of chips and salsa! I opted for the chicken fajitas and they tasted as good as they looked. Served with two large sized tortillas (corn or flour), this was plenty food for me to get two meals out of. Plenty of seating inside and out, making this a great place to bring the family or to go out with friends.

I visit this location regularly and always have great service and good food. The staff are friendly, I enjoy the two types of salsas they serve as I love to mix the mild and hot, chips are good, drinks are delicious and fun, and the food is awesome, for the most part. I only gave them 4 stars because I recently tried the chicken fajitas and was disappointed. Too many onions and peppers and maybe 7 strips of chicken. The toppings also didn't include any cheese or lettuce, just refried beans, sour cream, guacamole and green sauce. I won't be ordering those again, but it's the only item I've not enjoyed here. I will definitely be back!

From breakfast to lunch to snack to dinner, if you really enjoy Sonoran-style Mexican cuisine, you've got to try this place! Manuel's has been around since the sixties, and it shows how they've been able to sustain a restaurant this long within a highly competitive Mexican Food market - they do it extremely well. From the comfortable traditional restaurant décor and set-up, to welcoming attention to customers is great. Let's not forget the food - terrific. We started with libations where my wife ordered the Turquoise Margarita, really, really good, if not almost perfect! Their use of Tres Generaciones Plata Tequila, the perfect amount of Cointreau, not too much blue curacao, and just enough pineapple juice makes it worth writing home about. Me, I just went for the simple life with ice cold Pacifico. For our dinner, I've got to say, it is well worth stopping in. Their selection on entrees is huge, and from what I've heard they all seem to be really good. This visit, I was inspired to try The Fiesta Platter of what they call pollo especial, with a thinly shredded beef super tasty taco, a fantastic tostada, and one of the best beef flauta I've tried in the Valley, all this along with Mexican Rice and Refried Beans. My wife went for the Tres Amigos Enchilada Platter with a hearty Tomatillo Chicken Enchilada, a tasty cream Cheese Spinach Enchilada and tender and juicy Red Shredded Beef Enchilada. It too was served with rice and beans. We were too full and satisfied both tummy and taste wise to order any desert - but we're gonna make sure we leave room for it the next visit. Highly recommended, they know what they're doing, and how to do it! Go for it. Olé!

My friends and I were looking for a place to have a happy hour for another friend's birthday. On recommendation, we came to Manuel's and were not disappointed.The happy hour had great options for very reasonable prices. They do not, I repeat, they do not skip on the sizes of their margaritas or dishes just because they were on happy hour. They also have specials based on the day of the week you go. Hot chips and salsa came out immediately while we waited for our entire party to arrive. Our server Thomas was incredibly patient, very attentive, and entertaining. We were a larger group but felt well taken care of. He even got his server crew to sing "happy birthday" to our friend and didn't try to push us out the door when we'd finished eating either. Thomas was top notch! The food was tasty and the portions were more than generous. We had to request several boxes! My friend got the fajitas and they looked and smelled amazing, arrived all sizzling and steaming deliciousness. Next time I think I'll get those or the mini chimis (which would be perfect for catered events). I had never been here before but am definitely looking forward to going back.

The food is always amazing! Crispy thin perfectly salted flour tortilla chips, and extra delicious salsa is always a great thing at a Mexican restaurant, but thiers are exceptionally good. The portions are giant. the food is delicious. We never have to wait. The service was absolutely outstanding. If you're so lucky to get Johnnie as your waitress, you should consider yourself very fortunate.Also, I have to laugh, because I started to order off the Senior portion of the menu, and the waitress explained to me that you have to be at least 55 years old, I told her that I was 56... And she had me laughing so hard because she then asked for my ID. It was all in a really loving way, but we were cracking up . First of all, who gives senior prices to 55+... I think that is really really generous and it says a lot about this family owned company. We can all use a break in life... And the fact that they give discounts to people that are 55 years old and older Is really quite sweet.We love this place, and we come back every time we visit Phoenix! The service is always over the top wonderful. I think they only hire really kind outgoing people. This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the valley!

Recently at at Manuel's, I am hooked on the spinach enchilada with jalapeño cream sauce, lunch special B is also delicious. We can always count on delicious food, friendly and prompt service. Thank you Meta, Crystal and Carissa. PS the jalapeño margarita is also a treat, and tajin lined rim- top notch.

Super impressed with the customer service. I walked in with minimum time since I was in between wort meetings. My waitress, Nicole, picked up on that immediately and put in my order fast. She even put a rush on it. Food was delicious. Couldn't be happier. I will be back the next time I'm in town.
