Mamma Toledo's The Pie Hole

The idea of this place is interesting but the food isn't anything to write home about. It's a cool little spot. Server was super nice. Coffee was decent. The environment is casual and relaxed. Wanted to like it but the pies were pretty bland. We had a party of 4 and all ordered different desert pies: coconut creme, chocolate creme, banana & pecan. The pie crust is pretty good but the pies themselves were light on flavor. There wasn't much taste to them. The person who ordered the pecan pie liked the filling well enough but not enough to lure us back. At $8/per pie I (sadly) would have recommend finding another spot for desert.

I wanted to like it so badly and rate it higher but I was just not impressed. We tried the coconut cream pie and the filling was good but the crust was so salty that we found it unpleasant. We also tried a slice of the chocolate espresso cheesecake, we were also not impressed, definitely more espresso than chocolate. It was bitter and the texture resembled more a cream pie than a cheesecake. They did have great customer service and I'm sure the flavors are a hit with lots of people, just wasn't for us.

Her pies are the best! Both the sweet and the savory. I spent $85.00 and the cashier didn't even say thank you. That stung a bit.....

We went at about 3:00 PM and we were the only ones in the store at the time. The lady behind the counter was very sweet and fast with our togo order. They were out of the Apple Crumble, but the cashier packed a fresh one from the oven for me. Very warm and perfect with ice cream! The crust was slightly salty, but the pie wasn't overbearingly sweet. I'd come back to the Pie Hole again!

Holy pies galore! This place has any pie that you crave. They even have breakfast pies! Service was quick and friendly and the spot was small and cozy. This trip we got a mini chocolate cream pie and mini key lime pie. The chocolate was creamy and had good flavor but not one of my top choices. The key lime was tart and fabulous with a delicious crust. It was perfect. I definitely want to stop in again for breakfast and coffee in the future!

We are regulars here and "Mamma's" pies are the best! We've taken her dessert pies to various events and potlucks - and in each case they have been a big hit. Order early if getting pies during the holidays, as they book up fast!

On a lunch break & super stoked to try this place b/c I'd heard so much about it. If I've said it once, I've said it a 100xs on here! My great grandmother owned her own bakery in New York & we come from a family of bakers who love baking cookies, cakes, & all kinds of pies. Everything from scratch, always.I ordered the mini chicken pot pie for a quick lunch & was thoroughly disappointed.Why?* The inside was mostly potatoes w/ carrot & no chicken chunks at all* There's more crust than filling * The crust itself tastes weird, as if it's flavored with that fake Butter flavoring; many people probably love that but I'd rather have the real subtle flavor of butter or sometimes pie crust is a combo of butter & shortening* It was $10 for this lunch that didn't satisfy - I'm happy to pay for a quality product but this was not worth itPerhaps their sweet pies are better?

I would not recommend. We left mentally disappointed and physically heavy. We tried the green chilli pot pie, which was so salty. Also tried the mushroom spinach quiche, which was just so bad that I couldn't bring myself to finish it. In terms of dessert, as tried the raspberry cream, which had a super artificial taste to it that it might as well have been from McDonald's. The key lime pie was the saving grace and is probably the only item worth having here.

Visited this lil pie truck at the Arrowhead Farmers Market. Ladies were friendly and I knew what I wanted. I had been eyeing this shop for awhile so I was excited to finally try it. I got the key lime pie. First, this is the perfect size! Enough to satisfy that craving! The key lime was tart but not too much, perfectly tangy with enough sweetness. I loved it! Also loved the graham cracker crust! (Wish the crust went up the side but just a tiny gripe) Will definitely purchase again and can't wait to try some other flavors! Support small business!!

Thank you thank you so much Mamma Toledo's for the delicious pies! I picked up the key lime and the mini coconut cream and they're phenomenal. Love the smell of the shop once you walk in, you know the quality is there. can't wait to come back and try some of your savory pies. thank you for being an awesome local business
