Excellent food! We have been many times and every thing we tried was great!Great service, if something is not right they will fix it. The owner Fabio really cares about the customers experience. The place is really nice inside even though it doesn't look like much from the outside. Definitely our new go to place.

I drove one hour to this restaurant hoping for the best unfortunately I could have went to many other restaurants closer to get better food. My wife had the lasagna, which was good. I had the veal dish on the menu, which was just OK.I worst pert the wait staff was not in touch with her clients never got the specials. We had ask for more bread and water simple. The restaurant was not busy it was almost 8pm. The ambiance was not good. The place looked like an old movie theater.

This was my first experience dining at Mamma Lucy. We went with my sister and brother-in-law, who raved about it after going there for the first time a couple of months ago. Firstly, I want to say, the service was great. Brian, our server, was very attentive and went over the menu with us. He highlighted their "signature" dishes and I ordered one, the cacio e pepe. I've had it before at other restaurants, so I thought I knew what I was getting. Well, what I got was extremely Al dente (very hard) pasta with sauce that didn't have much flavor, topped with massive whole chunks of peppercorn. If this is how it is authentically made in Italy, that's great, but I just did not care for it. My husband opted for the chicken parmesan, which I tasted, and that was actually pretty good. The marinara sauce was very tasty. If we go again, I'd probably opt for that. They also included a complementary dessert for my birthday, which was much appreciated. So, overall, great service, so-so food, but decent enough that I'd probably give it a second shot just to give a more accurate review.

My son recommended Mamma Lucy and he was spot on. Great ambience and service. We all had pasta dishes which were very tasty, plentiful and very fresh. No leftovers with us. The strawberry and walnut salad was very good as were the pizelles. We were stuffed and didn't have dessert. Made another reservation for next week!

What if I told you that a benevolent Italian family from Florence, who uses old family recipes opened up a restaurant in PHX? Mamma Lucy's is a gem and genuinely the most authentic Italian restaurant I've been too in the valley. They import their tomato's from Italy and no lie, it might have been the best red sauce I've had. I ordered a spritz to start. Highly recommend on hot summer day. Refreshing. Tuna carpaccio to start- delicate, light, lemony. The tuna was ultra fine and thin, melt-in-your-mouth good. The chicken parm was incredible. I don't like fried food but this thin breaded cutlet was cooked perfectly. I found it delicious and flavourful, and of course , used bread like a sponge to soak up every ounce of that sauce. It was accompanied by penne which was al dente. Alice was so warm and welcoming. Her father Fabio as well. Their creativity and passion is evident and contagious. I will absolutely come back, perhaps for lunch as well.

Quaint restaurant promising authentic Italian food. Our server was from Italy and very sweet, attentive and helpful. It's hard to review this restaurant . We had the veal Milanese and it was amazing!! The side spaghetti with tomato sauce was okay as it was full of sauce. The caprese salad was tasty but quite small. The Lucia salad was tasty as well and once again quite small. The bread was tasty and they refilled the basket throughout the evening. The cacio e Pepe was on the small side and a bit dry and sticky. The cannoli was the pièce de résistance! One of the best we ever had. Grazie Mama Lucy!

Very large portions. Excellent service. Our waiter was terrific. We probably both could've eaten off one entrée. $140 for 2 people.

This is a true authentic Italian restaurant! The food was absolutely amazing, everything is hand made and cooked in house! The owner of the restaurant Fabio was extremely welcoming and very friendly, he took good care of us! The gnocchi was homemade the morning we had dinner and it couldn't have been tastier! We added grilled chicken to the Gnocchi al pesto which was great! The Tagliere (charcuterie board) was excellent and the bread was delicious! To top it off the desserts were YUMMY, bursting with flavors! The crème brûlée was the best crème brûlée I've had in my life! The lava cakes was amazing and had that rich chocolate taste! The cannolis were so fresh and delicious as well! The ambiance was extremely pleasing and the restaurant was very clean, definitely a high end restaurant! We will be coming back to try more dishes!

After reading a bunch of reviews and seeing a lot on social about this place, I decided to check it out. Sadly, I don't think my experience matched the hype. We arrived on a Saturday night at 8pm. The place was full up. We had a reservation and were seated in a prompt fashion. The ambiance is okay. There is a front and back room. We were seated in a back room with several large tables. The noise level was good - not too loud, but had the sound of the of busy place. The menu covers quite a bit of ground - apps, salads, pasta, gnocchi, entrees and desserts. We started with Pizelles (fried pizza dough with sauce - very good), meatballs (very good), octopus & potato (excellent), and a bruschetta board (okay). We paired all this a red wine from Puglia (can't remember the name - it was good as well). For mains, we had a mix of items - two different types of gnocchi (4 cheese and pesto), chicken parm, and chicken scallopini. The two chicken dishes was good. The gnocchi was a mess - it was under cooked and turned into something resembling a soup when you stirred it. We actually sent the peso gnocchi back, but the replacement dish was exactly the same. Perhaps their gnocchi is mean to be this way? Not sure. Either way, it was not to our liking. The service was spotty as well. Yes, the place was busy, but we sat for a good 10 minutes before being greeted at the table. There were items they were out of, but our waiter did not seem to know that and came back to the table several times. End result - I'd call it a mixed bag. Some of the items were very good, others were off. Good luck - your mileage may vary...
