The ambiance was bustling and loud, just like the competitive sport of parking outside for this hoppin' Friday night in Kent. We had a reservation and got seated not too far off, starting out with a couple of drinks at the bar. Service was a bit slow -- but it was very busy, but our server forgot to get us utensils when our apps came and we had to flag someone down so we could eat with a fork and napkin. After apps, I shared some chicken adriatica ($27) and wild mushroom pizza ($19) with my co-eater. The chicken was ok but came out fairly dry, with only three tiny shrimp (not prawns AT ALL), and was served over spicy but overly dry pasta -- kinda like when you have leftovers the next day. The flavor profile was decent but no better than a place like Cheesecake Factory where the flavors all blend together blah after awhile and come across much too salty. But hey, that made me drink lots of water (when the server came to do refills)! The pizza was overly cheesy and WAY over salted, and left much to be desired.Bottom line: This is probably in line with much of the food around Kent Station, but I would not return except maybe for drinks or expect mediocrity for variable pricing.

We came before a concert and it just happened to be happy hour! We sat in the bar - which has its own entrance, and that saved some waiting time. It was super busy with only 3 tables open when we arrived. It was pretty loud. I got the Spicy Agave margarita with Ghost pepper tequila. It wasn't that spicy but had good flavor. For dinner I ordered the Buttermilk chicken tenders and fries. The chicken is hand cut, it was the most tender chicken I have ever had in my life! The breading was crispy and just a tad too salty. Fries were crispy and warm. Served with a chipotle aioli that was delicious. My guy got The minestrone soup and it was also some of the best I've ever had; Full of vegetables and the broth was exploding with flavor. The fettuccine Alfredo had a rich, smooth sauce with noodles cooked perfectly Al dente. Service by the lovely Natalie was fabulous. Large dining room and bar seating areas. We are attending a concert near here in April and will definitely be back for happy hour prior.

Went to happy hour on a whim. They have a nice variety on the happy hour menu, but the food lacks flavor. We ordered a few things: crispy brussel sprouts... not crispy, but very soggy. The zucchini fries lacked flavor. The French fries also seemed soggy and not fresh. The burger was pretty basic, but it wasn't bad. I also ordered the strawberry lemonade. It's more like a juice, not a lemonade. Definitely could use strawberry puree or something. Pretty basic, wouldn't say it was worth the cost. Overall, it is a large happy hour menu, but the quality of the food just isn't there. It's almost like cheesecake factory, where they have a large menu, and none of the food is good because they would rather have the quantity over quality.

The one and only time I went to mama stortini's before this visit was for the happy hour up in Northgate. This place is a lot better than I remember. Took my mom because she wanted pasta and she said it was better than other spots- more flavor and more generous with their seafood. My partner got the shrimp pasta and was also surprised by how much she enjoyed it. I got the honey maple chicken salad and was surprised by how good the flavors were and how moist the chicken was. We also split an order of the fried zucchini and I am only a little embarrassed to admit that I liked it soooo much. The zucchini wasn't soggy and still had a bite to it while the breading was super crispy. Service was friendly.

This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants, service us always great. Food flavor is always point, portions are good too. Their food and drinks selection for happy hour is nice and what I like about the ambiance is that is not a very noisy place. Music has good volume, thus you can have a nice conversation with the people at your table.

The pastas are just okay. For the cost, the portions are relatively small but the atmosphere is nice for larger groups.

Mama's has gone down hill. Mama's used to be about the same level as Cheesecake Factory to me. But the last time we went for lunch, it felt as if we were dinning at CrappleBee's. The seats were all ripped up with the fake leather crunching up so bad. My salmon pasta was so rich that I couldn't finish everything that was on my plate. And I'm the kind of girl that eats EVERYTHING off of her plate. I'm not your hoyty-toyty girl who eats their spaghetti one strand at a time! Anywho, probably would not come back to this location again. But there's also another Mama's in Federal Way I heard? So might give that a go if I crave for salmon pasta.

Rude front of house. Be prepared to wait an extra 35 minutes from when it says your order will be ready. An item was missing when I got home. Updating Review: after an item was missing when I got home, the manager Ian was kind, courteous, and understanding.

I've come in for HH while traveling for business a few times. Every time, I've had a great experience. Tonight Nick did a great job on service at the bar, both good drinks and bringing the great food. Mama Stortinis is a not to be missed HH when in Kent.
