5 stars because soooo many lameos in Seattle, gotta praise these troopers for stay open late af. One womaned kitchen as well. The food is fresh. Just eat what is suggested if the options are limited. Trust the cook. Honestly hits much harder than tons of spots at that time of night. It's now either this or Honey Court for my midnight munchies.

I only tried the chicken and beef sambusas this time but will return to try the pasta (and get more sambusas). I took them to go and nearly drove off the road smelling them on my way home. Cooked by Mama Sambusa herself, the sambusas were flavorful and juicy inside. The outside was crisp and chewy in all the right ways. Not soggy or oily at all. Clean tasting. (They actually clean their oil!) The beef one is slightly spicy but not overwhelmingly so. It is the most traditional and I'm glad I had the foresight to get an extra one for "tomorrow" aka I devoured them all the moment I got home. You might have noticed that they are open until 4am. I confirmed that this is not a typo. I could see this being a handy piece of information on a Friday or Saturday night if you get my drift.Lastly, they accept credit card, but they use Square, so cash would probably reduce their cost of operations.Black and immigrant owned. Come to support, but keep coming back for the food.

If 0 stars was a thing that is what they would be getting right now. I ordered on their website which is all over their instagram, waited the 40 minutes, paid and even called which the number does NOT work. Once I arrived someone comes out and says she has not done any online orders and she "knows nothing about the internet" she then proceeds to tell me to get request my money back but I can't request my money back on a online website. I'm very upset that I had to make the drive just to have her tell me my food was not ready nor going to be made. Unprofessional will not be returning.

ven during the height of COVID, they delivered great service. I've tried so many items on their menu and they're all good but my favorites are the Sambusa's and Sarah's Spaghetti. Sarah's Spaghetti is full of flavor and has the right amount of spice. The meat sauce is rich but not heavy. The portion size is unbelievable. It's more than enough for two people or to eat over two days.I've had sambusa's from other places and these are by far my favorite. Non of the flavors in it overpower the others; that's key for me. Try their food and follow them on IG, you won't regret it.

The food here is so bomb. The chicken sandwich and fettuccine are so gob-smackingly delicious that it's worth the long wait times. The chicken sandwich is crispy with this secret golden sauce that's similar to a honey mustard-mayonnaise blend. I'm glad chicken breast is used instead of thigh since it keeps the sandwich from being too heavy. And oh man. The fettuccine. The fettuccine, you guys. It was so savory and creamy - definitely had to split it into a couple of meals. But this dish really hits the spot when it's 2 in the morning and you just finished a rainy and cold squidding session. Which is when I had it. I haven't given reviews in a good long while, but Mama Sambusa's is delicious and noteworthy for their food alone to leave a review. But let's really top off this review - the service is amazing. The sister who fries up the goodies at the front is friendly, confident, and really knows how to control the flow of customers when it gets busy. Highly recommend!!!

I extend my apologies for anything that I stated that may have caused offense as that has never been my intention.Nothing that I have stated implies that y'all treat people different based off of where they are from in the world. I have absolutely no idea where that thought came from. There's also nothing that I have stated that is "bullying" . There is nothing that I have stated that degrades your religion. We received one phone call from y'all after the initial phone call but no we did not answer. I don't change my review every 12 hours I only update my review to respond whenever y'all respond because y'all continue to make false statements about the situation and or attempt to put words in my mouth. All of my original commentary is still available. No this is not a form of punishment for not responding to my "DM" and it's really saddening and disturbing if y'all truly think that. This has been a back and fourth exchange because y'all continue to make comments that aren't true. I will not allow y'all to put words in my mouth or make comments that are untrue. I would suggest exploring better ways on how to develop some conflict/resolution skills instead of resorting to your current ineffective practices. Oh and also if there is a recording of y'all telling us that y'all opened later and offered a discount PLEASE post the recording or send me the recording. Kenneth expressed that those comments were never made and if you have a recording that contradicts what he says then I would LOVE to hear it and I will update the review to reflect the miscommunication and apologize if Kenneth misspoke.Never implied that this was a racist establishment, we were never served in the first place so declining to serve us "again" doesn't even make sense. Never implied that you all lied about being closed but you did lie about telling us y'all would be open later, lied about offering a discount for future orders and lied about me blocking y'all. No one is tormenting or bullying y'all and y'all are in no shape or form a victim in the situation. This has nothing to do with gender or race. If y'all had told the truth from the beginning then I wouldn't have continuously responded to refute your untrue statements. I'm not the one driving any false narratives my statement has stayed the same from the very beginning and has not changed. Had y'all came out and simply stated that y'all were mistaken in telling us y'all would be open later, no discount offered and that I never blocked y'all then I would have simply responded with a thank you for the response but instead y'all provided a response that was untrue and therefore I refuted the response. To start off the service was exceptionally bad. They had us wait outside for someone for far too long. That in itself was frustrating along with the server not communicating with us properly and it took 3 people for us to even get our food started. After our food seemed to be started or more so acknowledged it took them 30+ minutes to get our food ready. When we received our food to pay for it we were told 3 different prices and only allowed us to pay in cash. After receiving our food we also realized half of it wasn't there and we didn't have time to say anything because when we realized they were already gone.

Around 2:30am on a Friday, my friend and I optimistically searched for open restaurants to satisfy our late night cravings. Luckily we stumbled across this gem -- the menu photos caught our attention and let's just say it did not disappoint in person! The owner Honey was super kind and welcoming (especially for someone working until 4 in the morning). We ordered the fettuccine alfredo with chicken, house salad with grilled shrimp and several sambusas (veggie and salmon). Even tho a little pricey, the portion sizes were relatively big and worth every bite!The fettuccine with chicken was super creamy and flavorful, a little oily and heavy but overall delicious and would definitely recommend.The salad was solid -- super fresh ingredients, dressing was very rich (also slightly heavy), but the shrimp was perfectly cooked and seasoned amazingly.The sambusas, aka Ethiopian samosas, were fried well and had a great crunch. Sadly, we ate them without realizing there was sauce provided. Definitely would have given an extra dimension of flavor -- learn from our mistakes!Overall a great food coma meal and will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes :)
