This place is beyond good. Unfortunately 5 stars is the limit. We shared the cinnamon rolls and my kids all had the hot chocolate. Definitely indulgent but the cinnamon rolls were so good. I went for a scramble with bacon, spinach, potatoes, and a bunch of other stuff and it was top 3 all time. And I cannot forget to mention our server Nick. The guy was so personable and took our experience to the next level. Definitely try it if you're in the area!

Too crowded inside and HOT - there seemed to be no A/C. I ended up getting a cinnamon roll to-go instead of dining in. Their cinnamon rolls are a staple that I've gotten years in the past. However, it wasn't as good as I remembered

Tried this place for the first time this month and boy was it amazing! Such a very very busy establishment and the food comes out in abundance. Ambiance is country/darm/vintage. A lot of their awards are posted through out the restaurant. Their cinnamon rolls are gigantic and they have great mimosas, coffees, and beverages. The menu can be overwhelming because there is a lot to choose from but if you're like me and you usually go with what you like, then it's pretty easy to read. I got the biscuits and gravy and my boyfriend for a breakfast sandwich. The couple next to us was shocked at how much food we had and especially when they saw our cinnamon roll. Needless to say but we had lots of leftovers to bring home. Their cinnamon roll has raisins. I am not a fan of raisins but my boyfriend likes raisins in his cinnamon roll. So he enjoyed it while I dodged the dried grapes. We got coffee and gummy bear mimosa (champagne, strawberry, lemonade, pomegranate). Overall, this is a a great breakfast spot for all! If you have a hearty appetite you'll appreciate the portions otherwise I recommend sharing.

Maltby cafe has become my favorite breakfast spot! Their food is always delicious, plentiful and fresh! This time we had the California scramble, salmon eggs Benedict and Swedish pancakes! If you like a delicious yet messy omelette type dish, than go with the California scramble, you will not be disappointed. Salmon eggs Benedict is rich and delicious as it is served on a biscuit with lots of hollandaise sauce that will bring you close to finishing that entire plate! It is a large portion so come hungry. Swedish pancakes were made perfectly with just the right amount of almond extract and fresh strawberries Service here has always been welcoming and friendly anytime we have visited. Which matches the warm cozy feeling of the restaurant, you really can't go wrong here, comfort and good food go hand in hand! Building great memories here and hope Maltby cafe continues to thrive so everyone can experience genuine hospitality!

Not a place I would choose again but it does have charm and good aspects. The waitress was very nice and accommodating, gracious when receiving any negative feedback. That's not easy to do.We were a big group of 7, so it took a while to get a table. The place was very busy on a Saturday morning. Their portions are HUGE, which personally I don't like but justifies the price tag. They are known for the cinnamon roll which really is gigantic swimming in a lake of frosting. I hate to say it, but I didn't find anything special in it aside from its size. It was way too sweet for me.Positives: ServiceBLTRaspberry jamSalsaPotatoesNegatives:Hollandaise sauce- tasteless, per friend who ordered. Cinnamon roll- too sweetMarionberry pie - meh

The food was worth the hour drive. The California eggs benedict was fabulous. They used fries as instead of hashbrowns. It was different but tasty. It was busy for a Wednesday afternoon. The service was average. They even sell clothes.

Pretty busy breakfast spot up north. Hefty portion sizes. There is a parking lot but it can get quite packed. Indoor seating leans towards the tighter side but is similar to most breakfast spots. Good variety in seating options, supporting small and big parties alike.Harvest Apple Sausage Omelette - a seasonal omelette in the fall with a mix of flavors. Savory from the overall omelette paired with sweet and sour from harvest apples, everything contrasts well to enhance the overall taste. While the apples enhanced the dish, they could've been better sauteed and blended in. Texture was a bit unbalanced despite a well put together taste. Omelettes also come with potatoes and either toast or a biscuit. The potatoes were solid, but nothing special. Toast was thick and tall and came with an amazing jam spread.

If you're craving a traditional hearty breakfast then this is the place for you! The food was solid- especially this enormous cinnamon roll that we ate for days. It does get super busy and even if you get seated right away, service can be slow. However, everyone is super friendly. Just maybe pick a day and time you aren't in a hurry.

This is my favorite breakfast spot in the pacific northwest. I've been to some of the most "hip" and "posh" spots in Seattle, downtown Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Edmonds, Woodinville, Bothell, and Issaquah, and I prefer the Maltby Cafe. The food is amazing, the staff are charming, and the ambiance is delightfully nostalgic.

Maybe it's different for breakfast, but I found the Maltby Café to be just OK for lunch. Service was friendly enough, but it took *forever* for our food to come. Just shy of an hour, and it wasn't that busy. Also strange was presentation: two of us got the same salad, and I saw another person at a nearby table with it as well. Each one looked like they were made in completely different kitchens. Biscuits were dry and cold. It was rare to have someone stop by for water, much less ask how we were doing or if we needed anything. We got the famous cinnamon roll to go, and weren't big fans of the string almond extract flavor. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, although I am curious to try it for breakfast sometime.
