Makitto Sushi

I can roll with Makitto Sushi!I was in the area and stopped by to order food to-go. I came in on a Wednesday, shortly after they opened and was pleasantly surprised they already had a few customers dining. I was greeted and assisted right away. I briefly looked over the menu and decided on the agedashi tofu as well as a couple of sushi rolls. It was ready within 10-15 minutes.I was so hungry and the food smelled so good. I went in my car and scarfed down a few pieces of tofu and rolls before moving on with my day. Everything was delicious and fresh! Really enjoyed everything. Would definitely return.They offer a really good happy hour from 4:30-6:30pm with food specials starting at $5 and drink specials starting at $3!

Really nice customer service. First time trying the drink. It was really delicious. Not too sweet just right. Tuna tasted fresh. Would definitely come back and try more items.

Got: Agedashi tofu Gyoza Mixed tempuraSexy rollHeat stroke roll The sushi here is fine. It's nothing to write home about or go out of your way for. The tofu was my favorite part of the meal because it's not deeply fried, like how most make it. The gyoza was completely forgettable. The tempura was average, as was the sushi. It's your standard neighborhood sushi spot. I will say the server was great. She held down the fort for everyone at the tables and the bar, and was caring towards my baby.

Here in Phoenix playing some men's hardball baseball in the world series baseball tournament. We walked over here to enjoy some sushi. The sushi chef/owner Jay, is one of the best chefs we met in the past 20 plus years of eating sushi. We're first timers here and everything, and I mean everything, we ate, was delicious! The picture is called the "J- Special". Also, try their spicy edamame..... the sauce is to die for!!!! Next year when we're back here again for the tournament, we're definitely coming by here for several enjoyable evenings with Jay and his awesome team. Highly, highly recommend them!

I know I reviewed here in the past, but this restaurant had closed for months and I've had to wait for one of my favorite sushi fixes until it opened back up!!! This was the soft reopening week, so i went today for my usual. Monster roll, tuna and salmon nigiri. I am impressed how melt in your mouth and flavorful the salmon is every time I go, and the sweet and spicy of the monster roll is a perfect blend. Can't wait for my next visit!!

Great dinner spot before or after a movie at Cinemark Theaters. My new favorite spot for some fresh sushi. Came in after seeing a movie around 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday night. There is a sign that states wait to be seated. There are tables of 2, 4, & 6 at the bar to sit. Once seated at the bar, we were asked for drink orders and if we wanted a physical menu or could scan the QR code. There are two large flat screen TVs: one had a baseball game and other had photos of sushi rolls. There was background music playing & plenty of decor on the wall. Jay (the owner) is the "Itamae", chef making fresh rolls. He is definitely skilled in his craft & a perfectionist at making high-quality sushi for his guests. Staff was on point, checking in with guest frequently. I ended up with the California Roll(Surimi crab, cucumber, avocado), Spicy Tuna Roll (Spicy tuna w/cucumber), & Crunchy Bay Roll (Bay lobster mix, avocado, cream cheese, roll panko tempura served with surimi crab, wrapped in cucumber w/eel & cajun sauce). All was delicious! My mom had the seaweed salad & miso soup. The soup was hot & fresh, as well as the crunchiness of the seaweed salad. Give it a try & make sure to make room for some dessert.

This place is awesome!!! We love coming here and are new regular customers. Great service, great food!

While we were in town this weekend, we stopped in for some dinner at Makitto. This was our first time here and enjoyed our meal! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was a bit slow to come to up to our table, but our order was great. Decent pricing, extensive menu, I would recommend if you're in the area and in the mood for sushi!

The food, service, and energy are absolutely amazing! Chef and team are incredible! My favorite in the valley. Ambiance was incredible thank you Chef.

Very pleasant experience. In the mood for something simple and light, we found Makitto. Small place but VERY COZY! The vibes are immaculate! The server was attentive and quick. They had a good size menu and it was DELISH! P.S. THEY HAVE HIGE FUCKING CHERRIES
