So, I just moved to the Seattle area, and I was craving some chilaquiles. I did some research on yelp and found this place. The ratings were high, the pictures looked great, and although there were a few places closer to me, I drove 30 minutes to try Sazon Kitchen. When you get there you walk in and order first, then get your table. Service was great. Everyone was welcoming and kind. The place has some great seating options. They have indoor, covered patio, and outdoor picnic tables. It's small, but very cute and clean. Well,My craving was satisfied. I tried the chilaquiles divorciadas because i couldn't decide between red or green and I had to know which of their sauces I would prefer the next time I come back. The chilaquiles were still crispy and crunchy! A key element to this dish. It had plenty of crema and cotija, and the picked red onions added a different element. The beans that split the two were flavorful and the perfect addition to the plate. It was absolutely delicious, but I do know I prefer the red sauce! The next time I go I'll try their build your own chilaquiles with the red sauce. My mom went with the enfrijoladas. Which were like enchiladas with egg in them, smothered in a bean sauce. Which was delicious! I had to sample the sauce! And the potatoes were seasoned well and cooked with a soft middle. We will be going back soon!

Gee golly do I love Sazon! The food is soooo flavorful and it comes out hot and fresh! I'm not sure what the nacho type dish is called, but it's the perfect compliment to every thing I order. LolParking is a pain but so worth it to experience the flavor!

I'm new to the PNW, and didn't expect Mexican restaurants here to be nearly as flavorful as those in my hometown of Queretaro but oh my, Sazon Kitchen truly blew me away. We sat outside with our dog and though it was a cold morning when we went, they had a heater and an electric fireplace that provided us warmth while we waited. Though it was a bit of a wait, the food tasted freshly made and was absolutely worth it. The chilaquiles have an amazing salsa that pairs perfectly with the chorizo. And the beans were amazingly seasoned as well. My husband got a pastor burrito that was packed full of meat and pineapples -truly a finger licking experience.

I really like the food at Sazon. The menu is not huge, but the selections are all very good. Good. I love the fresh squeezed orange juice and lemonade, and you can get beer and micheladas as well. I have indoor seating and outdoor seating. It's a walk-up counter to order and then take your seat.

Sazon Kitchen is a fun place for a Mexican style breakfast in Ballard. They are on the corner of 15th Ave NW and NW 73rd St. Street parking wasn't hard to find and it is free in this area!We got there on a Saturday, right when then opened (9 AM). I ordered the Divorciados which is green and red sauce chilaquiles, divided by beans and topped with two eggs. I enjoyed my food and I thought the presentation was beautiful. My husband ordered the Huevos Rancheros which is a hand made tortilla with spreadable beans, two eggs, smothered in a spicy ranchera sauce and topped with avocado. He was surprised because it was more like a soup, which he wan't expecting. This place is pretty casual, so you order and pay at the counter and someone brings the food to your table. I thought the person who helped us was very pleasant. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside, but it was still really cold and we kept our jackets on. They have a little station where you can grab silverware, napkins, and drip coffee if you purchased it. There is also a place where you can bus your dishes.

Well I see a complete remodel. When does a small restaurant that was reasonable priced restaurant with great food now charge $22.00 for a omelette and the shrimp 5 little bay shrimp. And portions smaller. Used to served a fanned avocado on the plate now a tiny sauce cup with two thin bits. Everything on the plate looked half the size.We have come here for years $5.85 fir one taco? We used to bring all out state guests here, this makes me soooo sad.Yes now we see at lunch time very little business. Used to be packed.Beware you are pricing yourself out of the market here.Again if I did not know what thePortions were I would not take the time to comment. It looks like the omelette went up $6 dollars.I hope this goes to the main owner she is very sweet but needs to consider this heartfelt criticism.

On a Thursday morning I decided to visit Sazónfor breakfast (which is becoming Maíz Taqueria).I ordered the chilaquiles with asada and one egg along with a latte. The total came to $30 prior to a 15% gratuity charge. It seemed pricey but given the reviews I was looking forward to a great meal.Coffee was ok, but the meal was disappointing, as the ingredients were not fresh. You could tell from the way it looked the steak was not fresh, probably it was grilled the day before and reheated. The chilaquiles were good and the egg was cooked to perfection, but it is not worth the price and poor experience.Service was good and the atmosphere was ok, I really liked the tiles decorating the kitchen showing the Mexican folklore! The place has a great potential but they are starting poorly by not using fresh ingredients, just to save few pennies.Hopefully your experience is better than mine

Came here after seeing the Yelp reviews for Sazon, but they seem to have rebranded to Maiz. We tried to look past that and give it a try. Sadly, I wish we had not. Ambiance The place looks confused as to what aesthetic they are trying to go for. Between the loteria tiles and the bright pink, it's all too much. Looking at pictures of how the place looked before, I hate to say that this is a MAJOR downgrade. Food Where is the "Sazon" in the food????? The food we had there was probably the saddest Mexican brunch we've ever had. The food had no flavor whatsoever, we only ate it because 1.) We had already paid for it and 2.) We were hungry. Then there's all these extra costs, 2 extra dollars for eggs on your chilaquiles ?!?!?! What kind of Mexican place does that...if you want any other protein added, they also charge extra. The standalone chilaquiles are basically fried tortilla chips in tomato sauce and tasteless beans. According to their menu, it comes with cilantro, cheese, and cream, but it's but a sprinkle of it. Definitely not what we expected given previous reviews of the place.Service Come in with the expectation of bussing your own table. They bring you your food, but you order at the counter and get your own utensils. We didn't get checked on, and there are no condiments for the food on the table or offered. We had to go up to the counter to ask for salsa.Overall 0/10 experience not worth the 65 we paid for 2 chilaquiles and 2 "Mexican Mochas" ... This was the first and sadly the last time we will be going to this establishment. From now on, we will be going back to our usual Mexican brunch place.
