Went to HMart in Mesa to do some shopping for Hot Pot night and Meisen is located in the food court. Ordered was the Pork Katsu and Tan Tan Ramen. The pork Katsu was delicious. Tender, crispy and served with a side of curry dipping sauce. Also served with a scoop of rice and a heap of shredded cabbage with the most amazing dressing. This dish totally satisfied a crave I didn't know I needed. The Tan Tan ramen was ok. The saving point was the noodles. The texture and flavor were good. Un fortunately the broth lacked depth and flavor. The chasu was ok, not much flavor there too. The ramen was topped with all the usuals bean sprouts, corn etc. Service nothing spectacular nor did I expect it to be. It's a food court. Many options there do check it out.

I had shrimp udon bowl. Loved it. Full serving. Great broth. I have been on the hunt for a tempura shrimp udon bowl that reminds me of a regular nyc location. Fresh ingredients. Good noodles. Delish!

I had the chicken katsu, it was fantastic! I devoured the entire dish before I realized that I didn't snap a picture. Here's proof that it was completely devoured ... they give you good portions. Good enough to share if you don't have a big appetite. Service is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is more like a small food court. This is located inside of H Market. There are several food options within their "food court".

The King Pork Katsu is my favorite dish at Meisen Katsu. It is so crispy even with the slightly sweet gravy. I reviewed on my second visit. I would like to see a bit more mac salad on the dish but no complaints. They also have excellent ramen and crispy gyoza.

Location is in the H Mart food court, among several other restaurant vendors. Craving for a hot bowl of Ramen, this was my vendor of choice. Just a note: we came on a Tuesday at 11:30 a.m., not crowded at all, all restaurant workers wearing mask and had plenty of hand sanitizer on counters, Tables in the food court all spread out with sanitizing station in between tables.I ordered the Tan Tan Ramen (Spicy). Hit the spot, fresh, hot, tasty and spicy. I would definitely go back and try the other Ramen bowls.Atmosphere: typical food court but following all covid restaurant rules. Service: good. Food: good

Another restaurant in the "Food Hall" of H Mart. You cannot go wrong with any of the restaurants in the Food Hall.My wife got the tonkatsu (pork cutlet). It came with shredded cabbage (traditional), rice, and a radish pickle (tsukemono). The katsu was perfectly fried. The pork itself was also delicious. It came with tonkatsu sauce, but it was a light brown color instead of a darker, soy sauce color. No matter, it still tasted like tonkatsu sauce.I tried everything as my wife couldn't eat it all. Good portion, fair price. It was a delicious meal. They also have chicken katsu, as well as others. An intriguing cheese katsu and a shrimp katsu is coming.5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money.4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business.3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it.2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money.1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Got the katsu combo. I thought the combo means combination of chicken and pork Katsu. But actually means the 2 pieces of Katsu comes with a bowl of udon. The Katsu (crispy and not overly oily), sauce and the udon tasted good and is a good portion.

I love me some katsu! The crispy crunchy breaded meat is simply irresistible so I knew I had to check this place out after shopping at H Mart. I tried out the katsu pork to go. It was ready in only a few minutes, packaged very securely. In the Styrofoam container there were two cut pieces of pork katsu, a mound of rice and a small salad. Gravy and salad dressing were in separate containers, and there was also a small container for some pickled radish and jalapeno. Overall I liked the meal. The katsu was a little soggy by the time I got back home but I think that's hard to avoid in to-go orders. The cutlet was very flavorful and I enjoyed the gravy with it. The salad and rice were both nicely presented and the dressing went well with the shredded cabbage. The only thing I didn't like was that the katsu was plated on top of some crispy fried clear noodles which in a dine in order would still stay light, crispy and easy to eat. When I ate the cutlet those noodles had turned rock hard and it made for some unpleasant textures to chew through as I was eating the main component of my meal.Service was friendly and good at answering any questions I had.

Super salty, broth loses flavor within a minute. Meat was plain. Egg was plain. Noodles had no taste but very good consistency. Meh
