Maguro Sushi and Ramen

Maguro has quickly become one my favorite sushi spots in the area! The fish is reliably fresh, service is excellent, and the value is great.The Salmon Lovers plate will definitely be my go-to combo from here on out. It came with the most buttery salmon I've had at that price point in a while -- so good that I genuinely could eat up my portion of the plate without dipping in soy at all! Yum!The tuna was equally as fresh and high-quality as the first time I tried it, which makes me super excited to return.We were also surprised to get there just in time for happy hour and snatched up a pretty sizeable bowl of seaweed salad as an appetizer for an affordable price. There are also a few rolls on the happy hour menu if you get there before 6pm!Can't wait for my next visit to this awesome sushi joint!

The parking lot was nice. I didn't have to fight for parking and it wasn't very crowded. When I went inside there were a few people there. They had lots of different types of rolls on the menu. The salmon sashimi was very good. I liked that it tasted very fresh and not fishy. The suns roll and the McClintock rolls were good. I liked the suns roll a little better because it came out piping hot. Be careful! You might burn your mouth with the hot temperature. It wasn't spicy. We also had the spicy tuna roll. They had quite a few appetizers to choose from. The kawaii and the karage chicken were the same. The kawaii chicken came with a sauce that was very much needed to make the chicken more flavorful. The chicken was dry. The service was pretty quick and I was thirsty, so getting quick refills of water was very good.

Stopped in for sushi on a Monday night around 7. It wasn't super busy but the World Series was on. Ina was awesome. She greeted us and gave good laughs through our the night. We definitely brought the crowd in because they were packed when we left. We got edamame, the baked mussels , and sushi. It came out pretty quick and was about 8 rolls in the order. Sushi was fresh and the mussels were different (never had them baked and was curious). Perfect sushi place tucked away in the plaza. Make sure you stop by and say hey to Ina!

Having lived in Tokyo for 5 years I like to think I know a bit about Japanese food. The rolls were insanely fresh and creative. The tempura was perfect. Great crunch very light as evidenced that the shrimp tails were light and crispy like potato chips. The salmon was so tasty with just the right fat content. All in all excellent food. Kudos! We were skeptical going in but blown away!

This place is fantastic!! Tried this on a whim because I was craving sushi, and was not disappointed in the least bit. I've been here twice for their lunch special. A hot bowl of miso soup with 3 rolls for $16! Such a deal! Service is extremely fast and attentive. We seated ourselves, and our waitress came immediately after. Very small spot, and very cleanThis is definitely a hidden gem!

Love this Japanese restaurant so much!Came here for ramen, ended up ordering a roll- omg everything that we ordered was so good.I forgot their names, but ordered two different ramen, mine was the one has soy milk in it, and it was so so goood. Their portion is good, egg is perfectly cooked, charshu is yum, and the broth is so good. I personally think their ramen is way better than jinya's. And the roll was so good. I got a yellowtail roll, it was so fresh! Definitely coming back for more ramen and rolls!

We were shopping nearby and decided to order food to-go from Maguro one chilly evening. I called ahead and placed an order for sushi, a veggie ramen, and a tonkotsu ramen. Arrived within 15 minutes.The place was busy, it looked packed. The staff was friendly and helpful. My order was waiting for me when I arrived. I was in and out in minutes. Though the food smelled really good, we exercised some patience and waited until we got home to open it.I was impressed by their ramen packaging. It came in a big bowl with two compartments: one for the broth and one for the veggies and protein. The broth was still warm even after a 20-minute drive. We immediately devoured its contents. My veggie ramen was tasty and satisfying. The portion was pretty generous, too. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. We were both very pleased with our choices!

They had a good selection of sushi, and ramen. I ordered two of the standard rolls, which are smaller than their specialty rolls and come with 8 pieces. I love eel sauce so I got an eel roll and a spicy tuna roll. Both were good.

My wife and I wanted Japanese food and decided to give this place a shot.My wife ordered the salmon lover plate and the cucumber salad. I got the tonkotsu ramen and gyoza.My wife said the salmon was very fresh and had a good texture. I tried the cucumber salad was fresh and delicious. I like the flavor of the dressing.The tonkotsu ramen was very flavorful and I love that they seared the pork belly. I ordered it a little spicy but even that was a little too spicy for me but the flavor was still delicious.The gyoza was crispy on the outside but the meat on the inside was moist and flavorful.The overall value of price and food was very good.The waitresses are very attentive. Food is delivered quickly. The inside is very simple and you don't feel like you are sitting on top of each other like at some Japanese restaurants.I would definitely recommend this place and we will be back for sure.

Excellent sushi. I try not to eat anything from the sea in our landlocked state but this place has made me reconsider. Best yellowtail I've had! Lovely service. I would skip crab puffs unless you like them sweet (I prefer a lot of crab). A bit pricey but well worth it.
