we were in Interbay getting some lunch, and the BF says hey there is a Farmers Market today, so after we finished with our Pulled Pork Sammie, we went hunting for the Farmers Market, and we are glad we did it was a nice changeGreat little market with lots of fresh produce, less vender's than we see on Broadway but it wasn't packed also so easier to get around and look at stuff, not a lot of parking on the street, but everyone was cool and waited for you to park or pull out from your spotand the view of the Cascades is awesome if you come in from Interbay and go up and over the hill to get into Magnolia

I suppose this is a sign that I've gotten a bit jaded with Farmer's markets. I've come to expect long sprawling markets with huge vendors; in the Seattle neighborhoods as well as where I came from in Madison (where the market went around the capitol building). But by comparison the Magnolia Farmer's Market is diminutive. It's set up in a parking lot and is approximately 10-12 stalls. Compared to the other neighborhood markets, there's more of a focus on produce as opposed to crafts. There wasn't a huge number of people at the market (although a high number of petitioneers) and it made walking around fairly easy. Although there's a fair number of signs directing you, it's a little hard to spot if you're not looking for it. As a tip, it's on 34th Avenue just around the corner from the small park/tennis courts behind the Chase Bank branch. This is probably best as a nice place to stop if you're headed to Discovery Park on the weekend in search of produce.

This is a nice smaller market. It doesn't have too many vendors and only a handful of food trucks. This is a good option if you want to get in and out of the market quickly. Parking is super easy and if you ride your bike and have proof of it many vendors will give you a discount! It is pretty awesome!

This is a wonderful little farmers market. I love Farmer's Markets because I always come home with the most random stuff.I stopped by on a recent Saturday and bought the following random items:Ginger BeerPork ChopsGarlicAcorn SquashPoblano PeppersWhile the market is small- maybe 20 stands- the array of items available is terrific. It's certainly veggie heavy- with maybe a third of the stands selling different produce. This market is on par with the Queen Anne market- and certainly much smaller than Ballard or the U District market. Parking is super easy. Enjoy.

This farmers market has your basics - flowers, produce from eastern WA, and a crepe truck, all things you can find at other markets throughout Seattle. Being that Magnolia is not a pass through neighborhood, it works for the neighborhood population. Every now and again there is a small music group playing in the middle of the market, which spans about 1 block. I like the convenience of the market during the summer.

No handicapped Parking! This would be a very nice farmer's market--except there is no handicapped parking, and those who need it have to walk for blocks.

What a cute farmers market in a cute neighborhood! If you're coming from elsewhere you can find parking easily in the neighboring streets. It is a smaller farmers market but they have a selection of produce, hot foods, and are located right outside several coffee establishments. We stopped by a few stands... tried the pancake balls (ebelskivers?) and the pot pies! Seriously delicious and so filling. We also stopped by a honey stand - learned a lot about bees from a very friendly and helpful beekeeper. Lots of genuine people at this market, great slice of local Seattle :)

You know how a small package of organic berries costs $3 or $4 dollars at the store? Well, Hayton Farms is now selling six of those packages for $10! Organic strawberries, blueberries, blackberries & raspberries, a whole box for $10! Looking for novelty: Deluxe jams. Gingered Rhubarb or Blueberry Basil anyone? Brilliant! http://www.deluxe-foods.com/index.htmlNo cash? That's okay, you can use your card to get cash tokens at the information booth. It's a perfect little setup. The selection of vendors is small compared to the Ballard and U-District markets, but it more than makes up for that with its location. Situated in the Whole Foods parking lot, you know if you can't find what you're looking for, it's just a hop, skip and a jump into the store. Even better, if you're looking for a Frangelico reduction to drizzle over your freshly picked berries, the liquor store is directly across on the other side. It's the perfect all in one stop for a delectable dinner at home.
