My partner and I each grabbed a dessert of our choosing at Magnolia. She got the famed banana pudding and I got a confetti cake slice. I ended up getting the confetti cake after fumbling on a few other offerings they had available that looked great. The place was jumping, but the line moved quickly. The banana pudding is as good as advertised. I am not a big banana nor pudding person. But, wow, I am a convert. that stuff was magical. Creamy, rich, and decadent. Not too sweet, and not too dense. A masterclass.The cake was good, too. They hook you up with a hefty slice. A fantastic treat. Beautiful color, and texture with the sprinkles. The icing is super creamy and rich. the sprinkles offer great texture. All in all, a solid spot whose eats validate being viral.

I will preface this, I have high expectations for my food experiences. Classic Banana Pudding The bananas were brown, which always gives the pudding a different flavor, is less appealing in presentation. The ratio was very little bananas to pudding. The pudding dry base wasn't blended well as you could taste pockets of flour. The whipped consistency was okay, I'm more of a traditionalist. The only position is it was not overly sweet. I was not impressed. I am open to other ways, this was not worth the money. S'mores Banana PuddingThis is definitely made too far in advance. The marshmallow sat in the premade cup so long they were mostly disintegrated. The dark chocolate chips were a nice touch to balance out the sweet. The chocolate whipped pudding was just okay. I was not impressed. Overall I ended up throwing the cups it just wasn't very good and not my cup of tea. I didn't get the hype.

All of the treat I got were so delicious. The unsweetened passion tea was delicious when I added sugar and I was so pleasantly surprised by the banana pudding. I normally hate banana pudding, but this one is perfectly sweet, creamy and amazing texture. The wafers weren't soggy and disgusting which is why I normally avoid banana pudding. The chocolate brownie was flakey, chocolatey and all around wonderful. As was the nice tart and sweet key like cheesecake. There's a quaint seating area that reminds me of New Orleans. Had a nice downtown treat with my girls and daughter.

Just me and my sweet tooth again. They have a pretty large selection of treats. I decided on the banana pudding and vanilla cake. Great call! The banana pudding was good but I've had better. Now onto the vanilla cake, it was delicious. Moist, not overly sweet, perfect amount of icing. Lord the cake was delicious. The bakery is an okay size and staff were very helpful. They answered all questions and kept the line moving quickly. I'll be back for sure!

Ofc I had to check out the infamous Magnolias Bakery while in Chicago. I was so happy to make it here & get to taste their banana pudding! I'm a banana fanatic. Anything bananas i super super love, so trust my word when I say it's a lovely sweet treat. The small size is all you need, you may even have some leftover. Though it is a good dessert, it's not what i think people make it out to be. You can probably recreate/ make it better at home. So just an fyi. Four stars bc it's def something to eat just to say that you've tried it butttt it's not a top tier dessert.

This bakery is always a convenient cute place to stop at after shopping in The Loop! My friend and I tried the cold brew banana bread pudding. It was really sweet soft fluffy and creamy! I would definitely want to try other flavors. The service is friendly and quick.

OK, so I wanted to see what the hype was about because I've kept seeing this place over TikTok and Instagram. And I've been wanting to try this place ever since I've been to New York. There was a little line there, but you get your banana pudding and then you pay so the line was moving pretty fast. They did have cupcakes and cakes on display if you wanted to get as well. We had the banana pudding and we got a small because he wanted to try it and if we decided we liked it, we would've got a bigger size. The banana pudding is a cold one and me being from the south I like me a hot banana pudding. I feel like this banana pudding was pretty basic. Most restaurants have the same flavor of banana pudding. I won't go back because it taste like every other banana pudding. If you were to go to another restaurant, maybe like a soul food restaurant they have the same flavor. But my boyfriend did like it. He ended up buying a medium.
