I had tried the swordfish and I tried the scallops over the pasta. Fantastic! The coffee is amazing I dont drink hot coffee rarely but their coffee is so good after a meal 2 small cups I am happy. The dessert was chocolate mouse and tasty also. I had the tiramisu and it was perfectly made. I highly recommend you have food from Magia....experience the MAGIC OF MAGIA...

I was home visiting and noticed this was 'new to me'. So we came here with family. We really enjoyed it. We came in from the backside and used the back door. It would have been nice to have better signage directing us to the other parking lot and toward main entrance. The service was great. There was constant refilling of water, which we loved. Our server tended to us frequently and checked in multiple times. We had order salads to start. Then we got main dishes (eggplant rollatini, eggplant parmesan, and butternut squash ravioli, and Brussels sprouts). Everything was delicious. The manager even came through to ask how the meals were. I'd come back again and would encourage others to at least try it. The main dining room was spacious. It was well light and then they dimmed the lights. There's also a large bar on the other side. Overall this was a wonderful experience.

Had been in the area for an event and wanted something "Different", was out with my mother (No kids, so we wanted something that didn't have gum under the table, LOL) Ever since this changed over from Calitri's I wanted to try it. So the place was somewhat empty when we arrived so I wasn't sure if that was a good sign or bad sign. Was seated and right away am digging the vibe, super clean, bright open space. Music is fitting of the environment, it just went well!! Waitress is great, super personable, and giving me pointers and suggestions and just really good at her job! We ordered the octopus app (I had recently put my mom on to the Grilled octopus) and it arrives and it was a super let down, we thought it was going to be an actual piece of octopus grilled, this was all shaved/sliced soo thin you couldn't even taste the octopus, it was drowned in the dressing. Got the mussels, didn't love the broth on them, The tomato just wasn't for me. Mom got the pork chop (she had been craving a big, Steak house type pork chop and not many places have them on the menu anymore) and this was ok she said, but smothered in the vinegar and just not what she was expecting and she stated it was overpowering. I got the Shrimp Risotto, OMG - this saved the meal, this was sooo good, I mean its risotto, you really cant mess it up but the flavor was out of this world! This dish alone would make me come back, and then I would just order different next time. The drinks were good, the service was great!

went last night for New Year's Eve meal. We were a large party and were seated in the back room. Our server was incredible, she handled everything so well and we were never in need of anything. Now for the food, I have nothing to say , I love my food extra spicy and the kitchen NAILED it ! Might have been the pasta dish of the year for me.

Had dinner last night with a friend. No drinks; just one bottle of still water. My first (and last) time here. I was excited when I saw Mozzarella en Carozza on the menu; I haven't had a great one since Stephanie's in East Boston closed, years ago. Rino's serves a good one but it's not on the regular menu so it's only by chance when I happen to be there when it's on special that I get to have it. I was so looking forward to it! It turned out to be a sandwich size mozzarella cheese stick, that's it. A thick slice of cheese breaded. That's it. Probably comes frozen like those you get in any sports bar. The sauce was good, but it was not even close to Mozzarella en Carozza (https://www.recipesfromitaly.com/mozzarella-in-carrozza/). I also ordered the beet and arugula salad with oranges; less than mediocre. There were enough beets, but not even a cup full of argula and I only tasted orange at the last bite. Much better beet salad at Red's, down the road. And three times the size! Entree: Haddock Francese. I think the fish was previously frozen. I could be wrong but the texture was not that of fresh fish. It was tough! When have you ever described a piece of fish as tough????? Strange. Tastless, too. Fresh haddock that has been dipped in an egg batter does not have the texture of that served at Magia, and I have had a lot of haddock Francese both at home and in restaurants. The sauce that came with the dish was very good. I enjoyed the shiitake mushrooms especially. The mashed potatoes that accompanied the fish were the best I have ever had in a restaurant. Delicious. I ordered gelato for dessert; nothing to write home about but good. The decaf cappuccino was delicious. My friend had a Ceasar salad too heavily laden with dressing; she left half of it. Her Fra Diablo was too spicy for her; she had asked for mild. Other than that, she was okay with the dish. She liked the creme brulee and cappuccino. The bill came to $177. and change!!!! I was shocked that my share (with tip) was $90 for no more than a mediocre meal. I will never go back. There are a too many other very good Italian restaurants in the area; pick another one......

My son and I have been going here for some time.... but it's been a few months since we visited. We returned again this past week and I will say the food has completely gone downhill. The bolognese dish that I ordered was awful and tasteless. I can cook a better dish than this and I'm probably a mediocre cook. The service was decent. I do hope they turn this around because I did like going here. After our last meal, they're going to have to win us back.

I recently dined at Magias, and I had a truly enjoyable experience, largely thanks to my waitress, Morgan. From the moment I was seated, Morgan made me feel welcome with her warm smile and genuine friendliness. She was attentive without hovering, striking the perfect balance that made my meal comfortable and relaxing. What really stood out was Morgan's attention to detail. She anticipated my needs before I even had to ask, ensuring that my glass was never empty and that everything was just right. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and her recommendations were spot-on, adding to the overall quality of my dining experience. It's clear that Morgan takes pride in her work, and her professionalism and positive attitude made my visit to Magias memorable. I would definitely recommend dining here, and I hope you're lucky enough to have Morgan as your server!
