I moved from NYC to Houston (Queens to be more specific). I was having a hard time finding a Colombian restaurant with the authentic flavors I love, and grew up with in my beloved Medellin. Yes, there are some Colombian restaurants in Houston, BUT when it comes to the flavors, quality and attention (yep, service is a really big deal for me!) they failed miserably.... You miss one of these key ingredients in a Colombian restaurant, and in my book is wayyyyy below my Colombian restaurant standards. Oh and don't even mention the coffee! Gosh if I go to a Colombian restaurant, I want my cafe con leche to taste like real Colombian cafe con leche and not from a Keurig (that's NOT how you make Colombia coffee) at a Colombian restaurant, period! Well knowing how great the Houstonian gastronomy is, I was not going to give up and visited a few Colombian restaurants, that were disappointing. UNTIL one day, Made in Medellin came up on my Instagram feed and something told me to check it out. I finally made it to Made in Medellin, and OMGosh .... My heart smiled when I saw the cargamantos looking soooo delicious on the plate and the delicious bandeja Paisa .... Not to be dramatic (ok yes, I am dramatic) but I felt my heart smiled! I KNEW they were freshly made and not from a "yuge" can! Let's not ignore the chicharrón... aka the piece of meat I don't feel guilty cheating with LOL! The mondongo is yummy, with very generous amount of mondongo in it. Have I mention how delicious their beef empanadas are? Oh and their own branded ground coffee .... Well you better hold my cerveza and brew me some fresh ground coffee! By the way don't forget to take home a pack of 10 large arepas! These babies can be warmed up anytime of the day and have them with breakfast or whateveeerrr! They are sooooo delicious too! So yes, I highly recommend Made in Medellin. Thank you Carlos and your brother for maintaining the authenticity of our Colombian food

I had high hopes for this place because it was super cute on the inside. Very nicely decorated and clean. However, the food sucked in my opinion. The empanadas were insanely oily, but good. The hot dogs were really cheap and i'd say worth the money if you want a decent meal. However, i got the lomo which was $14 and it was honestly inedible. The cheese was so rich and heavy that I couldn't do it. The rice was just rice and it came with 2 boiled potatoes . Service was okay. Id say just go to Gran Colombia down the street, its way fresher and same prices basically.

Great food at a good price. Lots of foot traffic during lunch rush but the staff took care of everyone well. Well return for sure.

Excellent food! The Bandeja Paisa is amazing! It was served very hot. It is probably the best item to order if you want to try a little bit of everything and also if you are a carnivore! I finished the meal off with a Milo Tres Leches which was a very moist chocolate cake! I would highly recommend this place.

Sadly I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures but the food was soooooo good. This is my second time eating from this restaurant. I have never dined in, always to go. The food is ready in like 10-15 minutes, so pretty, fast and you can call ahead to have it ready when you get there. The staff is really nice. I have had the bandeja paisa and the made in medellin, in regards to price I believe the made in medellin is worth the extra money since it brings a lot more food. You get a lot of good quality delicious food. Looking forward to becoming a usual hahah.

We ordered the whole chicken which includes 3 sides and 2 drinks. Server brought canned drinks. I asked nicely to trade the cans first fountain drinks and she rudely yelled "No!" and shook her finger at me. She never brought plates to eat off of. Then when the check comes we have the canned drinks added to the bill which comes out to $7 extra which is supposed to be included. Then we try to ask them to take the charge off and they want to argue. There was no manager present. The waitress was awful and rude with a pretty miserable type personality. Avoid this place unless you enjoy rude servers and charges added to your check. This place owes me $7 as far as I'm concerned!

I stop here for the first time and found this place on here. I was craving some rotisserie chicken today. First of all, no one spoke English, so it was hard to ask questions about the menu! So I order the half chicken which comes with two sides. The chicken so dry and tastes very old and not fresh! Very odd tasted to it! So I had to pick through the pieces, which you see in the photo! Also, the plantains were so hard and dry and not sweet tasting at all, so I assume they were old too and the arepas were greasy and super hard as well. So gross, where I didn't eat my food! I was so disappointed, because some of the reviews were good. A wasted of $14! I guess I need to start cooking more at home, than eating out so much. Lol

A bit of a language barrier it seems. The coke tastes like Diet Coke but could just be Colombian style regular coke. Nice menu and lots of options. The chorizo doesn't taste like what I'm used too neither does the steak. The arepas is small but tastes good. I got the Bandija paisa. I have had this dish at other places and just tastes better but your mileage will vary. I might come back try other stuff on the menu not sure. Nice inside not very big. Not sure no ice tea on the menu that should be a standard at any restaurant nowadays. Guys beside me got some chicken that looked good.
