Mad Munch Grilled Cheezer

Great experience at Mad Munch Grilled Cheezer! Never knew how badly I was missing out on a place strictly dedicated to grilled cheese. Super kind workers and cute little place on Newport. Delicious grilled cheese and tomato soup! Great for June gloom.

This place is as advertised. Well prepared basic food with good ingredients. I had a fancy grilled cheese sandwich (3 different cheeses) and a peach milkshake today - and was pleased with what I ordered. I'm sure I'll be back. This is a minimal set up. Maybe 10 seats along a counter, no bathroom, and difficult parking in the zombie land of Ocean Beach, however the food is what brings customers into the shop, and what keeps them returning. All their reviews are legitimate. They aren't puffed up by friends and family. All items are packaged to go, so takeout seems to be Mad Munch's place in the food universe.

Unique; closer to the beach. I'm sure many will like this restaurant for lunch, but for me it was on the greasy side.

Good is amazing! 4/5 Zach daddy - awesome flavor and great food but the salami threw off the flavor but still finished it !5/5 Hot n Heavy - everything was perfect and no complaints! 3/5 Tomato soup - didn't have much flavor and was decent but paired nice because well, grilled cheese and soup is awesome. They don't really have seating but why would they, they are located in an amazing part of San Diego where you should enjoy at the beach! Overall it's pricy but I'm coming back. Awesome food

It's a small little shop with a couple of tables outside . It's more of a spot for take out.I got the Bacon Street grilled cheese and added tomato. The tomato was a great addition. If you like grilled cheese then you will like this place.I thought the tomato soup was just okay but nothing special It took about a 10 minute wait to get food

I popped into this shop and decided to try their specials back in April. The cheezer of the month was "steak it to the house" and it was smothered with jalapeño cheese sauce- it had a nice kick to it. The pozer of the month was the Spam musubi! I also tried Kater's Taters, a cup of tomato soup and the Bermuda fryangle. You get to choose 3 fried items, so I got curly fries, onion rings, and cheddar bombz. Everything was delicious! The mango milkshake was also so refreshing! Can't wait to see what their specials are each month!

Girlfriend and I went out for a quick lunch and stumbled upon this little place. Woman working was super kind and got our food out in 10 minutes. Would highly recommend, such a good experience! Awesome location as well, loved the vibes.

What a cheese-tastic experience!! We visit OB every year and this year found a new favorite!! Mad Munch is amazing!! Great location and the food!! The food is fantastic!! The service was fast and friendly! Prices were also a plus!! Great value for the money and an overall fun time!! Seating is available inside or you can enjoy the sunshine out front. Give it a try! You will not be disappointed.

A solid, super affordable place to get grilled cheese! I really enjoyed just the plain grilled cheese (the OBC) and tomato soup and my husband enjoyed his big cheesy.

Great food. I never write reviews but holy moly was this place bomb as hell, definitely recommend come here immediately.
