MAD Greens - Tempe

Found myself at Tempe Marketplace when hunger struck. Salad sounded good - especially if Somebody else was going to do all of the prep (don't you hate cutting/chopping??).Friendly greeting and helpful staff even though I wandered in just before Closing. I modified the Cobb salad a bit and it was Very Crisp, very fresh tasting and a generous portion for reasonable price. The unsweetened iced tea (Hibiscus?) was delightful.Tip: Ask for dressing on the side, I think "Light/Medium/Heavy" is a pretty personal definition and asking a stranger to guess exactly how many glops of dressing meets the definition is Tough. Give both you & the Prepper a break and get it on the side!

Met up with the family at Tempe Marketplace, we were early for a birthday celebration so we all wanted to grab something to eat while waiting on time to fly, so after checking out what was all there to offer I knew I was more interested in getting a salad so off to Mad Greens I went.After checking out the menu I went with the Don Quixote Salad, it had a bed of mixed greens, southwestern chicken, mango, roasted corn, avocado, jack cheese with a creamy ginger dressing. The combinations of these favors were delish. This was a great tasting salad. I like that we are starting to have more of "fast casual" salad places to choose from because not everyone wants a hamburger or pizza. If looking for a tasty fresh salad go give them a try!

YUM!Fresh, made to order salads / bowls.Quick, Fast Food that is fresh and healthy (depending on what you opt for).I would totally be here more often if I lived in the area.Great options and you can build your own too. So get creative if you like... mind you they charge for toppings so it's not like you want to get too crazy as it does add up.I went with their Pancho Villa and was super happy with my selection.This Tempe location has a dining area with probably about 16 4-tops so you can definitely eat-in and enjoy a meal with friends or family. Casual and easy.

I love a good salad and I go to Mad Greens often because of their fresh food, wide variety, and great menu...you can get many different salad choices and then customize them to your preferences. My favorite is The Athena, a yummy Greek salad which you can size up to a large for only $1 more. Everything is made fresh daily including the huge variety of salad dressings. Often, I'll come by after work and bring dinner home--it's just the best! Besides salads, they have wraps (my friend always orders these when we eat lunch there) and a nice variety of daily made juices. This is where you go for healthy eating!

Generous, delicious and creative. This is a great salad spot that's perfect on a hot summer day...or night. Good prices, fresh food and good service.

I paid a lot to learn they're nothing to write home about. I could've made a better salad myself. You don't know until you try em. Now we know; it's a NO.

We came here for lunch because of the positive reviews and are so happy we came here! I had the Cobb salad and my husband had the spicy bacon bowl. Both were delicious. Once you order, you watch your salad/wrap/bowl being prepared. Our server confirmed every item to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. I didn't want onions on my salad and so got a free exchange for another item. The portions are generous and the ingredients fresh. We were treated to the garlic and red pepper hummus with pita bread platter. What a yummy and splendid surprise!! The service was efficient and friendly!! We will be back.

Great healthy options for lunch or dinner. They offer online ordering and delivery, and also have a rewards program. I have been to the location downtown, forlunch a few times, but have mostly visited the Tempe location for a quick dinner option, a few times a month. I have ordered grain bowls, salads, and their mac bowls, and have not been disappointed. I really like their choice of salad dressings, quite a few are vegan and gluten free. I get a few different dressings on the side for lunch salads for the week. My favorites are the Creamy Ginger, Cilantro Chili Lime, Chipotle Caesar, and their Honey Mustard. I order to go, and the orders are always complete and correct, and ready when promised. The ingredients are fresh, tasty, and they're always consistent.

Stay away from this location - it made us sick Not sure if items were old, not kept properly, or what, but we both felt ill after eating here. The service was not friendly at all. It is a loud space. We enjoyed fresh delicious food here. However, the worker clearly was not happy that we did not provide a tip. The tipping culture is getting out of hand, especially when workers are not doing anything above and beyond--like, for example, making your food. If a worker delivers your food to your table or does something particularly helpful or kind, then a tip would be in order. Otherwise, it should not be an option on the notoriously dreaded swiveled iPad.
