Lyman Tavern

My cousin and I went here because we just wanted to try something off the beaten path. This place does price gouging. We told the waitperson that we were going share the shrimp basket and order of onion rings because we were having an early dinner. She came with two separate plates with 3 shrimp each and some battered onion pieces. They were not onion rings. So I thought it was kind of nice that they did that until we got the bill. They charged us $2 for a split plate and $2.99 for the onion bits neither of which we asked for. So for a half-fast shrimp basket was $25. The person never came back to see if we needed anything. There was only one other table with people so it wasn't busy.

If you can make it to Sedro Wooley or anywhere else go there. Don't waste your precious time at this location. We just wasted an hour and forty five minutes for a burger that was extremely dry. The service was horrendous. I'm sure if you're a local the story might be different. We were never asked if we wanted another drink or refill. Yes, there was a car show in town, schedule you're help accordingly. Poor management!

Best for their steaks! Have your choice of 6-12 oz. The owner hand cuts all the meat and makes her own au jus. Dinner came with a nice sized salad and a nice sized baked potato. Price was very reasonable.

The Lyman Tavern is a cute, family friendly spot in the small town of Lyman. The spot used to be a 21+ bad, but in recent years has become open to everyone. Inside is large with lots of seating, pool, and TVs. Outside is an open area with some seating and grass, nice for warm weather. They serve lots of beers and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, I tried the huckleberry cider which was pretty good. They have burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers. They're famous for their homemade chips, but I preferred the onion twists! I recommend trying their homemade dipping sauces on the side, there's a pickle dip, a ranch hot sauce, and more. The service can be slow sometimes since it's not staffed very well, but that's expected at a place like this. Everyone is super friendly and gave us some great food recommendations. I appreciate how they made me a vegan burger, using a veggie patty, guac, veggies, and no cheese or mayo. Nice local spot!

This place is very cute. It's more of a cafe or restaurant than a tavern. We had Tavern burgers all around each with their homemade chips, which was a nice surprise. Always fun to try an alternative to fries, especially homemade ones! We loved our burgers and the chips. There is a full bar with lots of options and we had a super friendly server.This place has a very large backyard with lots of yard games available and would be great for the long Summer evenings. I will definitely return here one day and am glad we stopped by.

If you're looking for friendly service, super clean and warm, welcoming interior this is the place to be. This place is so relaxing and interesting. Highly recommend!!

great place to stop by for burgers after the mt baker hot springs!! totally recommend

The restaurant was clean and bright and the staff was kind. The cheeseburgers were juicy and well seasoned. The brisket dip was very. The had homemade chips that was good. The onion thingies were delicious. The bathrooms were VERY clean. Go check them out!!!!

With new ownership, the Lyman tavern is on the map. Great menu, great burgers, fries. Good atmosphere. Loved the note in the women's bathroom (told to me by a friend) about reaching out for help if you don't feel safe. Give it a try!!!
