I could eat the ceviche and tuna tartare on toast every night! This was my second visit to Lure and I enjoyed myself even more than the first time. I had a Gone with the Wind, twist on an Old Fashioned - excellent! Then we shared the two appetizers that were citrusy and delicious. Highly recommend. The hanger steak was delicious too and "D" took great care of us!

Lure is supposed to be a seafood restaurant but they didn't have much of a selection of seafood. We were a party of 8 who dines out together monthly at restaurants around Midtown Atlanta. Our visit to lure was not pleasant. Several of us ordered salads with chicken as extra topping. The salads came out with no chicken on it. They took them back and brought them out again with the chicken. Ok, not too bad so far. The check was ready and most of us started paying though the QR code on the table. I paid for my portion. We then realized they had charged us for the salad plus the $35 chicken entree. The waitperson redid the bill even though several of us had already paid. She said she would reverse the charges and them manager asked us to pay again with our credit card and their handheld machine. So of course a week later I have.2 charges on my credit card. I called the restaurant and talked to the manager and the next day he told me accounting looked at it and they saw no reason to refund my $76. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company, and you can be assured we will never return to Lure. I doubt they will be in business much longer anyway.

I think this was an off night. I went with my girlfriend for her birthday dinner. Everything started off fine. We had a reservation, the inside was clean with low lighting. Our server was friendly, and our drinks came in a reasonable time and were correct. That's when things started going down hill...Another drink that we didn't order arrived at our table for some reason. We ordered the ceviche which was supposed to come with avocado, ginger, kalamansi. There was no avocado, and no kalamansi. It was mostly purple onion. When we asked for the avocado, we got a gray/green avocado puree.Next was the oysters. Broiled with chipotle butter. Rather, drowned in chipotle butter. More butter than oyster. We got 4 of them...for $19. So 2 drinks, 4 oysters, and mostly purple onion was $75. Well, it would have been more because the drink we DIDNT order showed up on our bill (which they did remove upon request). "Would you like to order entrees?" No, we will go somewhere else.

Celebrated my birthday dinner here. The staff was polite and friendly and the food and drink was delicious. The place was somewhat empty for a Friday night, which was a good thing because all the attention was on making sure our food was good, lolol! But I believe there was something going on in the city and that could have been the reason why. Prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere has a nice vibe for date night or hanging with friends.

Went here for a friend's birthday and the foodwas delicious. I had the roasted trout with arugula salad on the side. We had the crab dip and the hush puppies, which were really good. We sampled the garlic fries, which were OK. Our server brought every desert out for my friend to try for her birthday which all were just the right sweetness but not too much! Customer service was excellent.

I've walked past this establishment a number of times, and finally decided to drop in for happy hour. Best decision ever. The vibe inside the restaurant is super stylish. You can tell they took time to develop the aesthetics.Bree and Elia(sp?) took care of the sinks and service for the evening. Both of them were excellent bartenders and gave stellar recommendations. On top of that, Bree was nice enough to add me to the rewards program. I had (2) of the best old fashioned I've had in some time, a dirty martini, and a Sazerac served up at my request. All of which were sensational. For my food choices, I elected for the half dozen happy hour oysters, a soft shell crab bao, and a blackened salmon taco. The mignonette for my oysters was really tasty. The bite on it was tart and tasty. The bao was delicate and packed with flavor. The blackened salmon was out of this world. I'm coming back today

My wife and I ventured back to Lure for an anniversary dinner, hoping to rekindle the fond memories of our last visit two years ago. At the time, it was a place that really understood how to let seafood shine--simple, fresh, confident. We learned quickly, though, that Lure has gone through a reinvention, a complete menu revamp, and is clearly trying something new.The service? Still good. The staff is attentive in a way that feels effortless. Every member of the team seems to know what you need before you do, which is no small feat. No complaints there. But the food, which used to be the main attraction, felt like it was in the middle of an identity crisis.Take the tuna, for instance. It used to come with crispy chips, but now they've paired it with sourdough toast. A bold choice, I suppose, but not one that works. Rather than dipping a crisp chip into the tuna, it sat on toast for a while, making it a little soggy. The shrimp, still a winner, was about the only thing that reminded me of why we came back. And then came the oysters, a decision I'll regret. By the third one, I was suddenly rushing to the bathroom. Something in that oyster and I did not get along, and I'll spare you the details, but let's just say I won't be forgetting it anytime soon. After that lovely interlude, I immediately felt better, and I was determined to give the rest of the meal a shot. But when the tamale arrived, it was swimming in mole sauce to the point that I wasn't even sure what I was eating. Crab, I think? Or lobster? Who knows? The flavors were so muddled that the seafood was entirely lost. And the crab roll? A once-delicate dish now overwhelmed by a heavy hand with the sauces. Whatever light touch they once had is long gone. Look, crab and lobster are divas. They don't need all this dressing up. A little butter, maybe a sprinkle of salt and lemon, and they'll take center stage. What I got was a cacophony of flavors, each jostling for attention but delivering only noise.I get that they're trying to reimagine the place, bring something fresh to Midtown with this new menu. They've certainly succeeded in shaking things up. But for $200, I think next time I'll head to The Optimist, where the seafood still knows how to stand on its own, without being buried in a sea of unnecessary flourishes. In the end, it's hard to see past the oyster debacle. I know, I know, raw shellfish is a gamble. Apparently, my oyster didn't get the memo that it was supposed to be safe in October, a month very clearly with an "R."
