Before I even compliment the food, I want to give a shout out to the staff-they're great! Super fast and polite and they give good recommendations! I ended up getting a carnitas burrito and a birria taco. Both were delicious! Highly recommend!

For some reason I had really low expectation of this place. Maybe because it's by the college and random corner plaza.I am overly shocked at how good this place was and can't be judgy. When you walk to the back, it's like a club! You got tvs playing sports and another tv playing a deejay spinning music with LED lights along the walls. They have breakfast items until 2pm like chilaquiles, veggie items, kids meal, quesadillas, plates, burritos, combos. California burrito is what I get when it's my first time. I'm blown away at the steak flavor, the soft tortilla, the fries were crispy and not your typical fries. Had guacamole, cheese and sour cream. Not to mention it was a hefty burrito that I only ate half. It came with chips.We also got al pastor taco, beer battered fish and carnitas taco. All delicious. Each had their own toppings that brought out all the flavors.Will definitely be coming back when we're craving Mexican food.

We came here for the burritos, but the Al pastor tacos were the star of the show! My husband is from Nor Cal and likes rice and beans in his burritos. I know, I know. So he has been doing some investigating on taco shops that have whole pinto beans (instead of just refried beans) and found Lupe's. He got a burrito and I got the rolled tacos. We got an order of the Al pastor tacos to split bc we were super hungry and wanted leftovers. The burrito and rolled tacos were good, but the TJ-style Al pastor tacos were AMAZING! We took our food to go, but we will definitely eat here next time because the decor is super cute. The employee who took our order was very kind and helpful. All in all, this is a great shop. I love that they support Kearny High with their Komet Burrito. I can't wait to go back and have more al pastor tacos!

I was told to come here instead of California Burrito. I got a Cali burrito and it was decent, little pricey but I'm starting to that think that' $14 is the standard cost now . The staff were nice when I came in and the Restaurant was clean. The salsa wasn't super spicy, but it did have a slight kick to it.

Tried this place while my friends were next door at Buffalo wing star. I ordered 2 tacos al pastor and a birria taco. Took my lunch back to see two tiny tacos de al pastor. They are the mini size tortillas. Not sure if it was a mistake but the menu offers 5 mini tj tacos. I did not order 5. And if so what the hell does a mini look like if the ones I got are regular? So $14 for 3 tacos and I'm still hungry. Definitely not coming back.

UPDATE: just I had to chase my tiny 15 dollar burrito down with a cup of ramen noodles because it wasn't very filling. I'm finally gonna say it...fuq this place!!! this has been my fifth and will be my final time on giving this place another chance! never fails to disappoint with their shiesty portion amounts that don't match the price point. Shitty service all five times I've gone with rude counter employees and impeccably long wait times for the simplest food order to come out even when there's nobody else in the restaurant and it's evident that online orders aren't even filling the board. Adios Lupe, I'll keep sticking with Super Sergios down the road!
