This large, spacious restaurant in the Gulch was within walking distance of our hotel and had great reviews so we decided to book it last minute. There was availability at 5 pm so we grabbed the table. The service was welcoming and food arrived quickly. We had:Blue fin tuna crudo (4/5) - generous thick cuts of fresh tender tuna but wish it was more aggressively seasoned Rigatoni Bolognese (4/5) - chunky sauce - maybe stick to beef or chicken? Instead of both which resulted in a really thick ragu Gnocchi Genovese (5/5) - fluffy gnocchi swimming in a dreamy pesto cream sauce & brightened by sun dried tomatoesChitarra w/ Meatballs (5/5) - delicious house made tomato sauce & pasta similar to spaghetti - only complaint was wish the portion size was bigger!!Chianti Short Rib (6/5) - Yelp folks aren't kidding about the tenderness of the short rib. Outstanding !!We were also celebrating a birthday, which I noted in my reservation comments and also pointed out to the server. As I noticed a number of sparklers around me (popular celebration joint), I realized our bday had been forgotten so I surreptiously reminded the server again and he brought out the fun sparkler. After, hubby turns and asks if there was a complementary birthday dessert. Nope! But still a lovely dinner even if the celebratory part kind of fell short.

Let me start by saying that the cuisine, service, and ambiance were all very good and my daughter and I enjoyed our experience at Luogo very much. For apps I had the Arancini and she had the Blue Fin Crudo. My entree was the Bone-in Pork Milanese and she had the Roasted Patagonia Salmon. I really love Arancini and these were really good, although I would have preferred less cheese and more rice. They were HUGE, as was the pork chop, so huge in fact that despite the fact that my daughter ate one of them, I could only eat less than half of my entree. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her entire meal. Here's where things went awry. The restaurant advertised validated valet parking in the adjacent garage, which we took advantage of (the hostess assured us it was taken care of). When I picked up my car, the valet didn't ask for any parking fee, so silly me, I presumed I didn't owe one, gave him a nice tip and left.Fast forward 3 weeks and I get a letter from the company that owns the garage claiming that I owe them $8.74 for parking plus $55.25 in late fees (which I will pay when hell freezes over)! Pretty nice scam! I would have been happy to pay 9 bucks for valet parking if they asked for it. Is this Luogos fault? I don't know but they got me involved. Doesn't give me fond memories of my evening there. BTW Luogo's website clearly states that they aren't responsible for any parking fees. Hmmmm.

The food was good for the most part. I had the short rib and I really enjoyed it but my fiancé ordered the pork Milanese and it was so pink it the middle he felt unsafe to eat it. We still paid for it even though we sent it back and got nothing else in return. Something else I was disappointed in was I asked the waiter for an aperol spritz and he told me that the bar couldn't make it.When I went to the bar after the meal they told me they definitely could make it and had made many that night. So I was confused on why I couldn't have ordered one with my meal. Overall the food that was edible was very delicious, but the wait staff could have been more knowledgeable about their menu.

We had a Saturday night reservation. It was packed, but we were seated promptly. My shirley temple was missing grenadine initially, but they remade it. Service from our waiter was pretty good, and they were apologetic about my undercooked gluten free pasta. They remade it and took it off the bill & also provided complementary desserts for the inconvenience. Good save. The ambience was giving an L.A. spot. I'd go back to try more of the gluten free entrees. Loved that they had really good gluten free dessert options.

Way better than my expectations, especially with these mixed reviews on google and yelp. I'm a picky person. The service was top notch, the environment was beautiful. A few loud voices on the other table, but that wasn't the fault of the restaurant. The Fritto Misto was so flavorful, light and crispy. It had perfect seasoning. My only complaint I would say, it has too many pieces of calamari and 3 pieces of shrimp. Everything else was exceptional, you can taste this is all being made in house with lots of fresh ingredients. Simple dishes but filled with so much flavors. The tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had in my entire life. I'm so glad, I didn't listen to these mixed reviews and gave this place a try. I will definitely be back. Do note, they can't split a check evenly for a huge party. Max they can do is 4 separate checks.

Overall, the restaurant has a really nice vibe, and when you walk in, it smells delicious. We had to wait at the hostess stand a bit while, who I assume was the GM, huffed around that he had to answer the phone. It was no biggie, but felt like a weird start to the evening. He didn't greet us or anything. We were traveling with our two young kids and when the hostess arrived, we asked to be seated where we wouldn't bother anyone (we did have a reservation and asked for a highchair when booking). Let it be known that we had a much nicer dinner the night before at a high-end steakhouse who treated our kids SO nicely and really went the extra mile. At Luogo, they took us to the very, VERY back of the nearly empty restaurant and left us standing at our table while they searched for a highchair for 10 minutes. I understand it was a Saturday evening, but we were there at 5p. We travel a ton with our kids, dine out quite a bit at all types of restaurants (including Michelin stars in Paris and London), and they are well behaved as kids go.Our waitress was very nice, but seemed flustered and ultimately made our time rather uncomfortable. Upon finally sitting down, I asked if we could order for my daughter bc we knew she'd like spaghetti, but the waitress explained that we MUST order all things at once, including appetizers, and that she would course things out for us. Ok fine. Having two small kids, we need to move reasonably quickly. We were there for almost 2 hours and had two courses...service was very slow and we ordered before they were busy. We also had to then wait to order for my 4 year old until we decided on our own meals, and it took forever for the waitress to return. We watched as she accidentally poured water all over a woman at the next table, so perhaps she was just having an off night. We asked the waitress about the burrata app (which was delicious, btw) and her response was "I don't know, I don't eat dairy." Whew! Glad we ordered it anyway. I also tried to order my kids waters in any cup that wasn't glass. I was explicitly told no. "We don't have kid's cups, we don't have to go cups, we don't have anything but this particular water glass and barware." Not us, walking out later with some folks carrying take out cups with them...The waitress had several recommendations for entrees, and we decided to split the rigatoni bolognese since she raved about it. It was...fine. About as basic as it sounds. We asked for an order of the focaccia bread and it was dry as a bone. We also had a "small order" of noodles and marinara for the kids, which was suspiciously the very same size as our entree, with the same (over) priced tag. When we left, since we were so far in the back, we had to crawl through the huge crowd of diners who had shown up (which was great for the restaurant to be busy, but made it very clear that the tables are way too close together). With such a large space, it seemed unnecessary. I can confirm it was awkward for me and the diners who I basically had to step over in the walkway to exit. All in all, 3/5 stars. 1 for the burrata, 1 for the ambience, and 1 for the extremely kind and friendly waiter who chatted with us as we walked in.

Incredible dining experience for our anniversary! Our server was great and gave us the perfect recommendations. We started with the meatball and it was the best I've ever had - very tender, moist, and flavorful. For entrees, we chose the duck ragu and the short rib. Both were delicious but the short rib stole the show with its presentation! Then we had tiramisu for dessert and let me just say, don't leave without trying it. Hands down best I've ever tasted! All in all, it was a great experience and we'll be back for sure.
