Luke's of Chicago

If you want an authentic Chicago-style Italian Beef sandwich, you must try Luke's! I am originally from Chicago and can attest to the beef sandwiches here. When I found this place it was like striking gold. Not many places in Arizona serve 'authentic' Chicago-style beef sandwiches.If you like a little spicy kick, the hot giardiniera peppers are the way to go. I always add those and love it to be dipped in the au jus gravy. Not soggy and not super dry bread...makes the sandwich extra good.The fries are delicious. Crispy on the outside, but inside texture is like that of a perfect baked potato but fried. The right amount of salt to bring out the flavor.The inside dining is all decked out with Chicago Street signage, Vienna Beef pictures, Chicago jerseys and more to give you a taste of Chicago.This is another favorite for when my tastebuds crave a delicious beef sandwich. It's the best I've had in AZ.

The Chicago dog was good but that's kinda hard to ruin. The menu is incredibly small so be warned if you're a picky eater or looking to explore new options of the Midwest. The gentleman that rang us up, also prepared the food. Quite the silent guy, not very approachable but I'm not asking for him to jump on stage do acts either. I'd suggest Chicago Hamburger over Luke's if you have the option.

Kind of torn on this one. The flavor of the beef was spot as well as the bread. Not a huge fan of their style of hot giardiniera but it was still good. Service was fast and the food came out quick. Basic menu but if you're from Chicago the menu works. Great Chicago nostalgia and feel the way they are set up and decorated. Definitely worth the trip though.

Was a solid Chicago dog. Fries weren't my favorite by any means but worth a trip. Like to try the beef sandwich next time.

Luke's of Chicago is probably the closest Chicago style establishment I've been to since living here in Arizona. It gives home in all the right ways. It even looks like a hot dog spot like back home. I've tried a beef sandwich, hot dog and fries and they're all delicious. If you're looking for a taste of Chicago, I highly recommend Luke's of Chicago, you won't be disappointed.

This really great little Hot Dog Restaurant. There standard Chicago dog is great. Clearly they take pride in what they do here and it shows. The restaurant is very clean and the service is very professional and friendly. Also my guilty pleasure is that you can get a side of cheese sauce with your French fries which is awesome! The prices are reasonable and the food is great. I will certainly be returning here again for their Italian beef sandwiches and the cheese fries.

I don't get out here very often, but when I do, it's for an Italian Sub. Today I enjoyed it thoroughly. It's a Chicago thing and they use Turano bread and the right mix of cheese and meats. Wish they used sliced peperchinis instead of the whole pepper. But it worked out in he end.

The Italian beef is a good sandwich. The tamales are small but tasty. Not impressed with the onion rings at all. A little on the pricey side for fast food. Parking is tough as this place gets super busy. The Chicago nostalgia is a big lure for visitors and transplants.

OMG, this was amazing! I got the chicago dog and the itailian beef with hot and sweet peppers. Honey, that was the best thing that I had on my trip to Phoenix, and I ate! If I can sum it up in one word, the word would be "Flavorful"!

Being from Chicago and just watching the bear my boyfriend who is a Phoenix native surprised me by taking me to Luke's for the first time. It was delicious. I'm crazy about giardinera and this was delicious. The beef and provolone were so good. I also got a Chicago dog not pictured and it was the best! Poppy seed bun, celery salt, and the best Vienna beef you could want. Kringle cute fries were hot and delicious. The place is a little shop but family owned and the service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend if you are missing Chicago eats! I will be back again.
