We were craving something sweet late at night around 8pm! This donut shop showed up on our google maps and we came straight here. This is the best donut shop I've ever been to!!!Even with whatever that was left the donut tasted so freaking fresh! We got red velvet/blueberry/glazed donut wholes A apple fritter donut Lemon custard donutEverything was so fresh and good even being the last batch at night time! Can't wait to come back! Service was fast and friendly! The ambiance reminds you of a mom and dad shop. It's perfect for a donut shop.

Walking into Luckys, I stumbled upon a scene straight out of a sitcom: a worker leisurely enjoying breakfast, only to spring into action at the mere mention of my sandwich order. It was like watching a culinary superhero transform from mild-mannered muncher to ham, egg, and cheese champion in the blink of an eye. He was sooo nice!! The ham, egg, and cheese croissant? Let's just say it was a symphony of oozing cheesy goodness, crispy buttery perfection, and warm embrace that made my taste buds do a happy dance. As for the donuts? Well, let's just say they disappeared faster than my willpower at a dessert buffet.And the best part? Despite my indecisive dawdling at 11 in the morning, Luckys still boasted a bountiful selection of donuts, as if the universe itself conspired to ensure my sugar cravings were satisfied.All of this gastronomic bliss came at a steal - less than $30 for a feast fit for a foodie king: two bags of chips, two breakfast sandwiches, a half dozen donuts, and a cup of milk!

I was in the mood for donuts late at night and decided to stop by this local mom and pop shop.This place is open very late! I came in at 8pm and they still had a huge variety of donuts and all very fresh too. The man working at the counter was super nice and the shop itself was very clean. Prices are super affordable. I definitely want to come back and try their breakfast sandwiches.

Super friendly "mom and pop" donut shop tucked away in a small plaza in the farthest corner of Mira Mesa Blvd, in the same plaza as Loving Hut.The parking lot is small and can get very busy around mealtimes.Pro tip: The plaza below is connected to this one via a staircase. So if it's packed here, you can drive down to the adjacent plaza to park there and walk up the concrete staircase to get your daily steps in and offset the donut calories. Haha!Anywho, this is a donut shop review so I should actually write about donuts right?!I would categorize this as a traditional donut shop. Service is friendly and not pushy. They serve tasty and fresh donuts.I have visited multiple times and ordered different donuts and can report I have not taken home a single stale or yucky donut yet. Yay!They offer a selection of about a dozen traditional donuts and donut holes, with a daily special donut usually available.I should note that this shop also sells coffee and bottled drinks. In the corner of the shop there is a small set of old school vending machines, with gum balls, stickers and toys.My girls were delighted to discover they sold "Happy Bunny" stickers featuring a set of words to create your own custom sarcastic message.There are several tables set up inside that are well-spaced, if that is a concern. Just outside, there is a bench and a table.It's a bit of a drive for me to visit, but the donuts from this shop are the same ones we would eat after attending mass in person so there's a nostalgic factor to it for us. And happy memories help make happy kids.

Good selection of tasty, moist, reasonably priced donuts. Coffee is also pretty good. I occasionally go for breakfast sandwiches and they hit the spot as well. Friendly staff /owners. Recommend.

this place is amazing! the man who helped us was the sweetest and also included some donut holes on the house for us to try. definitely recommend the raised sugar donut and the blueberry donut holes

Family business, fast service, well priced, good donuts! I've never had a bad donut from here, even when I bought one later on in the day, also, the workers are very attentive, I usually come here on my way to school, and they always make sure to be fast so I don't miss the bus, they are very nice people!

Best donut shop I've ever been to. I am never getting donuts anywhere else again!!! SERIOUSLY! All the other donut shops SUCK!!! Besides...I'm addicted. My taste buds would reject all donuts that do not meet the standards of the fluffy, crispy, golden delights of Lucky's Donuts and Deli. The doughnuts were so good...I'm scared. I'm--I'm afraid. I can't resist returning. The image of that blasted shop has become the background of my every thought. My fingers itch for the steering wheel, the fluffy doughnut topped with crispy glaze. The---NO! I must'n. I need to remain in control...in...in...the shop. Wait, I've been thinking about this the wrong way all along. I should not resist returning...I belong there. Lucky's Doughnuts and Deli?
