Great Chinese spot here in Santee! They have been here for a long time, and the quality of the food has never changed!Their menu is pretty straight forward though they also offer containers you can buy if you want al carte they offer in two sizes.Their egg drop soup is delicious and well made. Their wonton strips that go with the soup are great - I usually buy a bag or two just to snack on.They're very kind and also have a small soda dispenser in the corner. Their service is very speedy. I once ordered 8 egg rolls and they have to make them on the spot and it didn't take that long at all. Overall a great spot and recommend it if you want quick and great Chinese food

The days of ordering ahead and calling in an order of BBQ Pork fried rice with generous portions of Pork are history and if you ask for condiments like Chili Oil or Chinese Mustard, make sure the lids are securely closed otherwise you'll have a big mess in your to go bag. Now, if you order in person, you'll see that the fried rice comes out from the kitchen (not the steam table) and the BBQ pork is chopped into large chunks. I'm going to give this place one more try by ordering in person instead of calling it in and see if it's served how they previously sold it to me.

Do you want a f**k ton of tasty Chinese takeout? Panda Express will give you a 2-entree plate and cream cheese rangoons for about $12, but for about $5 more, Lucky Chinese HOOKS IT UP. You may never need to eat again! Okay, I kid, but this plate of food could have lasted three meals. Lucky Chinese is either sit-down or takeout depending what you want out of your experience. I opted for takeout this time, but they offer a full-service menu, a selection of beer, wine, and sake with $1.00 off for happy hour.I ordered a 2-entree plate with chow mein, orange chicken, and beef and broccoli and the friendly women at the counter loaded up my styrofoam container so full that they could barely close it. They asked the cook to fry up some fresh crab rangoons for me as soon as I ordered them. Everything was fresh and flavorful; the broccoli was still crisp and snappy, the chicken was crispy and perfectly sauced, and the piping-hot rangoons were absolutely stuffed and ready to dunk into a cup of delicious sweet and sour sauce.I've been settling for Panda Express lately for these types of cravings, but knowing that Lucky Chinese is even better pushes me to travel a little extra to pick up a plate. In a county struggling with decent Chinese-American takeout, Lucky Chinese hits the mark and have been going strong in this location since 1996. There's no doubt that I'll be back!

Lucky is our go to Chinese restaurant when we want fresh good food. You can dine in or take out. The egg drop soup is one of my favorites with the crunch noodles. The workers are very friendly and fast whether you're dinning in or out. The inside is clean and lots of seating options. They have two locations, Santee and El Cajon. Both are worth visiting!

This little place in Santee seems to be a GO TO for my family as their menu items are all set up amd served on the spot buffet style. The person serving the food was friendly, although the person manning the dining area left some personality to be desired. We went there to get a bite to go but decided to just eat there. So we noticed that when people left the dining area, they left their items on the table, as there was someone cleaning tables. So when we got up to leave, we were rudely told to throw away our trash. We were a bit confused as we didnt see a self serve station with a trash bin, but found a trash can in the corner on our way out. It was strange. Maybe because we ordered to go we didn't have the same rights as those who ordered to eat in? We were customers who paid the same so not sure what her deal was anyway, will only go there again as a last resort.

Ate here with wife and daughter tonight. Seating is super easy and it wasn't very crowded being a Sunday night. Service was great, we were helped with our order promptly and the food came out super fast.My daughter got a bowl of ramen soup with veggies, shrimp, pork and chicken and the bowl was almost as big as she was. All the entrees are family style which makes for take home left overs.I ordered the teriyaki chicken and my wife had the shrimp, each dish was loaded and came with vegges as well. I also ordered chow mein noodles and my wife had fried rice of which there was plenty left to take home.Overall great experience and we will definitely be back.

This place is good. There is only 1 server during dinner time but she was good and friendly. After you ordered the food, they bring out the crispy snack to eat with sweet and sour sauce which my kid love it. The noodle is a little oil but overall is good All of the food we order are good and big portions.

This is a buffet-style restaurant geared towards take-out. We got food to go in containers but ate it at one of the tables so we could easily take any leftovers home. The protein items, like chicken and pork were slightly overcooked and dry. The noodle dishes were greasy. The flavor of the food was pedestrian - sort of meh. The ambiance was, well, that of a take-out restaurant with some tables. The servers were technicians. They did their job too quickly, bordering on sloppy, and were like the food - meh. Not nice, not nasty, just meh. The portions were OK.Our kids go there from time to time, but unless I went with them, I would never go there by myself or take my wife. There are lots of Chinese/Asian take-out places you may wish to visit before this one. You surely will after you eat there once. . .
