Why 4 stars? Because I've waited a long time to try this place and really enjoyed it. --- --- ---I discovered Lucian's a while ago through a local top's on Yelp list and was excited to try it during a future visit to see family in the area. Unfortunately, I had to place a to-go order instead of dining in, but I ordered a bunch of different things in an effort to try as much of the menu as possible.The Oxtails were very solid. There was a place in Florida where the Oxtail was so amazing that it ruined all other Oxtail for me, but this was not a bad rendition. 4-stars.I also ordered the Curry Chicken, but didn't love it, to be honest. It was fine, but not something I'd need to order again. 3-stars.As for the sides:-Macaroni Pie: 5-stars. Some of the best mac-n-cheese I've ever had!-Fried Plaintains: 5-stars. While just about every fried plantain I've ever had tastes the same, I am never mad on a day where I eat fried plantains :)-Coco Bread: 5-stars. I don't know what's in this bread, but I loved it. LOVED it. Rice and Peas: 3.5-stars. This was fine. Standard side dish fare.While it wasn't my dish, my dad had the burger and raved about it. He's a simple man that doesn't try a lot of new things, and he rarely praises food in the way that he did this burger. Next time I visit, I will have to give it a shot. 5-stars from my Dad, TBD from me.I see why this place is beloved and look forward to visit #2!

I discovered this restaurant one day while I was driving and have been wanting to try it since. I saw that they offered delivery on ubereats so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the chicken patty and the jerk chicken. For my sides, I had rice & peas, cabbage, and plantains. I like that they allow you to choose 3 sides and there are a variety of sides to choose from. Overall, I was very happy with my meal. Everything on the plate was good. The jerk chicken was very tender and not dry at all, compared to some other places that I've tried l i will say the sauce that was on the chicken was a bit different and I wasn't too crazy about it. I also enjoyed the chicken patty. Price point is good for the amount of food you get. I will definitely order from here again in the future.

Have heard about this place for a long time. Finally had the chance to go by here.....they didn't disappoint! Everything was seasoned well and the food is extremely fresh. The young lady who waited on us was very nice and patient. They have a few TVs up here and was tune in to sports. The music added a good vibe and wasn't too loud. I highly recommend this spot.....and trust me when I say I'll be back.

Absolutely delicious!!!! We enjoyed a huge veggie roti and curry shrimp. Fresh and flavorful. Service was unexpectedly quick. We also enjoyed talking with the friendly owner. They will soon be adding a coffee shop and full bar. Check them out! You won't be disappointed.

Been coming here since the beginning of opening. Food is good and a must try.. Owner, chef Alex and staff is friendly and welcoming. Nice seating area for large crowds, outside seating area, TVS and a plus for me you can pay from your table, just scan your receipt..Stop by & give them a try. #SUPPORT your local business owners.

Lowkey spot in Clear Lake, had been wanting to have a sit down meal here for a while and finally did. The inside is simple and it seems like they had a live DJ for dinner.Our server was very efficient and polite and our food came out quick. Everything we ordered: curry chicken, jerk pork roti, and several patties were great.Removing one star only because I was surprised that they gave us plastic cups, dishes, and cutlery which I've never seen at a restaurant. However, I would still come back to try more of the menu.

I was working a double at my job this past Saturday when I decided to order from this place for the 1st time because I was craving Carribean food. I ended up ordering 2 items.The 1st thing I ordered is the Jamaican Beef Patty that came with 3. I absolutely loved it. It was spicy, just the way I like it. The pastry was flaky and delicious. I'll 100% get that again.The 2nd thing I ordered is my favorite food in the entire world is a large Oxtail Plate with Rice and Peas and Greens. Despite the small Oxtails that I received, it was so tender and flavorful, like it should be. Both sides of Greens and Rice and Peas was so good. Everything I ate that day was made with love.I will order from there again and I will come there in person soon.

Went here on a Sunday after church with the familia. A friend had told us about this place and we decided to give it a try. I can't remember the last time I've had Caribbean food (if I ever have), so it was out of my normal culinary range.The experience turned out to be really good and I'm glad we all gave it a try! Our server was very helpful as she explained several food options to us and gave us a couple of recommendations. The atmosphere is casual and clean- there are some TVs, sports banners and a small stage at the back where it looks like they have some live music performances. The interior of the restaurant is actually more spacious than it looks from the outside, although the ceiling is kind of short so it doesn't feel like it's as 'spacious' as it could be. Parking lot is a little limited as it shares this space with some other establishments.The food was delicious! I'm not sure what my expectations were except for maybe jerk chicken, but the plates definitely exceeded them. I had the beef roti and we also ordered a chicken roti and some plantains. The rotis are HUGE - they are similar to a burrito wrap (made of Dahl poori) but have curried potatoes and your choice of filling - and they are tasty! The meats, potatoes and Dahl poori make a wonderful combination that isn't greasy, is savory and after a while is quite filling. There is a case to be made that a sauce might benefit chowing down on one of these, as it all can start to get dry with as much size as it packs; but that could be personal preference. The fried plantains were also very good - sweet, soft and a little savory, too. We loved their mint lemonades that they had on the menu - very refreshing.Overall, a great discovery, and we were rewarded for going out of our comfort zone. We will make time to come back here and try out some more of their lunch items.

The food, service and atmosphere is very nice. The restaurant is modern.and clean. I enjoyed everything about it. GT Boi....
