Kind of had to wait a while, but I really love their cilantro green sauce! That's why I keep coming back. The location is in a wonderful part of town with lots to do around which redeems the place

Worst tacos I've experienced in San Diego. Scanned table to order food, waited 15 min past estimated time and the food was sitting the whole time. One of our orders still sat there and had to ask for it a second time. Their drinks are warm... Gabriella was not helpful. Do. Not. Bother.

had the birria taco, the queso taco, and the tj corn. the only thing good was the birria taco, and even then i would go somewhere else for good birria tacos. i got the queso taco with steak, and there was no flavor and the steak was tough. the seasoning on the corn was different from regular esquite, and something just tasted off. the service wasn't very great either. we ordered from the qr code at a table, and waited 15 minutes before checking on the food, only for the staff to tell us their system was having issues so they didn't receive our order. while i understand issues happen, there should've been signage or they should've been watching for customers so they would know when an order went through. it was clearly a known issue, so there should've been something to help the situation.

I used to love this place. Unfortunately over the past few years the portions have shrunk... now they are strait up serving French fry burritos in place of the Cali burritos. I was on board for the inflation that slowly pushed their burritos to 17$. But now they are skimping on the ingredients, that is where I draw the line. They were a small scrappy neighborhood joint. Now they have 3 locations and have abandoned their neighbors in favor of profitability. They have forgotten the people that made them successful and now they are riding on their fame to sell skimpy portions at inflated prices to tourists. Very sad.

Surf and turf Cali burrito, and the brc (beans rice chicken) were both excellent. Thin, chewy, flavorful tortillas wrapped super nicely so there weren't those empty ends. Def rec

Lucha Libre is one of my favorite surfer California vibe Taco and burrito shops down south. I hadn't been to this location yet and came with some friends. This location is easy to find in North Park, just takes a little bit to find parking. This restaurant is smaller then some of their other locations I've been to but I also found this spot to be less crowded. We came for a late 2pm lunch and we were able to find a table without issue.Staff was nice. No frills but just polite and kind people working behind the counter. Our order was taken correctly and the gal was nice offering suggestions and feedback on some of the items we were debating. I appreciated that she warned me their Jamaica drink was less traditional and had spice to it, so I was able to find another option to try.The prices are average. Wouldn't say your getting a deal by any means but the portions are generous and the food is really good so it's worth it.Love the decor always. Bright baby pink paint and love the gold glitter everywhere. It's a vibe.I had the surfin burrito with French fries, Asada, and shrimp. Always my go to burrito here. It's so tasty and they don't skimp on the proteins. Delicious! The chipotle sauce is my favorite and totally makes the dish. I also love their creamy cilantro dressing on the side for the chips and my burrito. Delicious! Had the mango Agua Fresca, it was just okay, nothing special. Would probably just opt for a soda or water next time as it would be cheaper. The food definitely rocks here though and I love that the franchise has grown. If your in SD definitely make sure to check out this spot.

I only came here for an elote craving because it was nearby, but I wish I could have tried more items on the menu. I know the main location has gone absolutely viral for its tacos, so maybe I'll get a chance to try it in the future. The service was lovely. I can't remember the cashier's name, but he made small talk with me and seemed to be in really good spirits for such a late night dead shift. There were maybe 2 people total in the kitschy decorated restaurant.I've gotta give 5/5 for the ambiance itself. The bright pink restaurant is full of visual flavor. From a bicycle mounted on the wall, to a "special" circular booth facing the widow decked in gold fit for royalty. It's a really fun restaurant. It's spacious, with an ice cream parlor directly next door if you're craving dessert after your meal. The elote was awesome btw! Best if eaten fresh. I ate some, took a shower, and by the end of my shower the water condensed at the bottom so it wasn't so creamy. Maybe best not to order it for delivery. It was exactly what you'd expect of yummy elote at $3.50 a cup.

There is one thing and one thing only to order at Lucha Libre...THE SURFIN' CALIFORNIA BURRITO (with tons of creamy cilantro sauce from the salsa bar)I used to be OBSESSED with this burrito in my youth. I thought it was the most amazing thing. Now that I am no longer in my youth, I wanted to check it out and see what the fuss was all about. I thought to myself, how good could it be? Well younger me knew what was up because that burrito was DELICIOUS.Sure, it will sit like a rock in your tummy. But the most delicious, perfect rock you've ever tasted. And with the creamy cilantro sauce? You'll be in heaven. My technique is squeeze a bit of lime on it, add a hefty amount of cilantro sauce, and take a huge bite. Repeat several times.SO GOOD! Service was good and they made the food pretty quick too! Can't wait to come back!

I've been to their other location and had an amazing experience, but the North Park location was disappointing. The tortillas were cold, the fries were undercooked. As visitors to San Diego, we expected excellent Mexican food, especially given the prices they charge.

Just ok this go around. I've been to this and the Washington location several times over the last 8 years or whenever they opened. I was in the area and decided in the Mahi burrito. This one was $16 which I think is a few dollars more than the last time I was here. The fish was over seasoned and was competing with all the other flavors going on. Also the cheese added was localized in one spot which I didn't realize until I got a mouth full of unmelted cheese. I was definitely not feeling too well after. It wasn't horrible by any means but for the price, I would expect a little more balance. I used to get the veggie quesadillas which I love but is not on the menu any longer. The line of people use to be out the door, but there were only a few people in this Saturday.
