Lucha Libre has always been one of my favorite spots in San Diego. I wished they opened a location in LA. Food: 5/5We got a Surf and Turf Burrito. It was a giant burrito that came with carne asada, grilled shrimp, pico, avocado, fries, and a creamy and cheesy salsa. The burrito is a little on the pricier side at almost $20. It is a huge burrito that easily fed two people. It came with a side of chips and the most delicious cilantro like salsa that's I've ever had. Service: 5/5The service was quick. This location is quite small compared to their other locations. There's not much of a sit down area. There seems to be only one guy working inside, but the food still came out quick. Notes: There are no restrooms at this location. I wish they had a sink or something for customers because those burritos do get messy.

The post important thing to know is you are planning a visit to this location, is that this is more of a taco counter with some outside patio seating than an indoor restaurant. That said, the counter area decor does not disappoint - you'll be able to get plenty of photos and immerse yourself in wrasslin while you enjoy your food. The tacos? Delicious!! We tried four different varieties and they were flavorful and well-balanced in terms of ingredients. The guacamole was also tasty, and served with plenty of chips.

I really wanted to like it. But no. I would have been more satisfied eating at Taco Bell.Let's start off with the pros, it's super cute, the pink building and decorated walls definitely draw you in. There's a parking lot conveniently located next door. Food was fast. The cons: the food. Nothing I ordered was good -not even the chips. It would have been nice to have salsa offered, but they only had a strange peach salsa. I ordered a burrito because it seemed popular according to other Yelp reviews. Shrimp sounded like a good idea. I read other clients having issues with their steak being over cooked, so I thought I would be safe. I think it was decently cooked, but everything lacked flavor. There were no Mexican flavors or spices, no melty cheese, or crisp flaky goodness you would expect. Just a sad bunch of ingredients. I took two bites and threw it away. For $30 I would think the quality to be at least a little better. I ended up yelping other yummy food places in Hillcrest. Thankfully found some amazing Pho there! I upgrade to a filet mignon pho and spring rolls! That hit the spot after this place.

My experience was so so at this new Lucha Libre Taco Shop location in Pacific Beach. I had a couple of the chicken rolled tacos with shredded lettuce, pico de allo, "cheese & queso enchilado" at $3.85, and I had the classic adobada taco with all the fixings, including guacamole which was $3.50.First, the rolled tacos. They needed that first cheese. They came with the quese enchilado on top of the pico and lettuce, but there was no cheese on the rolled tacos before they put the lettuce, pico, and queso enchilado on top. As a result, when I picked a taco up, everything fell right off, and I just had a plain rolled rolled taco. I was like, "Really," where's that cheese that adheres to the rolled taco? Let's fix that, please. The adobada taco was okay, too. The adobada or marinaded pork meat was tasty, but the guacamole's acidity was on the high side, which made it a little sour. The chopped white onions and cilantro were both fresh, and I really liked the quality of the corn tortilla. Service was friendly at the counter. The young lady was super friendly and offered good service. The place is really small and only offers a few tables outside. I think this place will be doing a lot of "to go" business.

Second visit. Tried different items. I got the Birria burrito. It was good, Birria was a little dry. I still prefer the chicken burrito from the first visit. Will keep coming back to try more of their items. Such a cute little spot.

Coming up with an appropriate rating for this place was hard. Because I give different things different ratings. As for the service, top tier! The girl that helped us at the counter was so sweet and patient with us! She explained food items and was even kind enough to offer to take a picture for us! Her service alone was a 5/5! She set a really good tone for the place. As for the place itself, another top tier! This place was all decked out and the decor was of course focused on lucha libre! It's cool that they have posters for local lucha libre events as well! The place is another 5/5! Now the only reason I'm giving it a 2 is because the stuff from above was worth giving some rating. The food though...it was not good. I will say that the chips and assortment of salsas was good, especially the dragon salsa. But we got the California burrito and the poblano burrito. And sadly they were not it. My husband didn't like the Cali burrito - he said it was bland. As for my poblano burrito...it had ZERO poblano peppers or poblano taste in it. Apparently it's custom for Cali to put French fries in their burritos as well...it was not something I liked (but that's personal preference). Maybe I have to try something else next time I go, but I don't see myself eating here again.

Very good! There's two locations in SD, this is the Pacific Beach location. Cali style with French fries was unusual, but good! Next time I would request more poblano peppers, more spicy por favor. But service was friendly and accommodating, he gave us more free salsa and chips while we waited.

you're better off going to taco bell or mcdonald's. i ordered on their self-serve terminal, placed my order and paid (checked my bank and my card was charged) but they refused to give me my food. both employees (especially the woman) were incredibly rude and uncooperative. when i asked to speak to a manager, they told me there was not one there (not sure how they can operate without a manger on duty, seems illegal). i was a regular customer at this place, but would starve before i go back again. decent food, horrible service and staff.
