The spicy level and flavor is addictive. I am still thinking about it. I can eat this everyday for the entire year.

Good evening fellow yelpers , tonight's review is for anyone who calls ahead and checks prices and deals .So today 7/15 after a long day at work I decided to stop at low Country for a sig cocktail off happy hour , I sat in the bar area ( small might I add) and as I order my cocktail I hear another person saying why is my drink prices doubled it's a dog cocktail and it's happy hour .Only to my surprise and I going thruThis rip off as well , Thursday last week I stopped in for happy hour cocktails were good I ordered a couple left , no problems in and out ok also very empty this day ! Ordered two left great decided to come back today 7/15, the manager as owner thought it was a good idea to hide and complicate happy hour , this happy hour is only available if ur sitting on one of the 4 seats at the bar the other seats at the bar ( still next to the designated 4) you can order but it's not happy hour prices it's really misleading and a fraud who ever heard of designated seats for happy hour prices !!! I ended up leaving my cocktail and not patronizing due to this confusion the rule was weird so I asked for the manager only for him to reiterate the same thing the bar tender just explained .I'm writing to tell u , don't go. If you think the prices or deals are as posted and are real and honored they are NOT it's a gimmick to get your attention .Waiting. On Lauren sy the owner call only the manager has called and offered no insight on the situation at all ..This wouldn't be the first time coming as I have in the past but it may be my last !

My recent visit to Lowcountry Seafood in the South Loop left me feeling disappointed. While the restaurant has a charming atmosphere and a promising menu, the portion sizes were underwhelming, and the service was mediocre.I ordered the shrimp boil, expecting a hearty portion of seafood and vegetables. However, what arrived was a small serving that left me feeling unsatisfied. The flavors were good, but the portion size did not match the price. The service, unfortunately, was also lackluster. Our server seemed indifferent and inattentive, which detracted from the overall dining experience.Despite these shortcomings, I will say that the restaurant has potential. With some improvements in portion sizes and service, Lowcountry Seafood could be a more enjoyable dining destination in the South Loop.

In my experience, a low country boil includes seafood, sausage, egg, potatoes and corn. But at this restaurant, if you want sausage or egg, you have to pay extra. I already paid over $50! Really?

Ugh. What a disappointment! I ate here twice hoping the first experience was an "off night". The music was waaay better than the snow crab legs. Both times the crab meat was over cooked and/or had freezer burn which means some is the crab meat has the same consistency as toothpaste. No joke! Instead of healthy muscle fibers which traditionally are delicious, instead you're using a spoon to eat the paste. I could go on; but you get the idea. And their beer tastes like piss. Enjoy!

At Lowcountry, you walk up and order your food. Then, a server delivers a sealed plastic bag with your order(s) and cuts it open at your table. I thought this was a weird presentation. I had the veggie boil, which included potatoes, corn, etc. It was SO spicy! I couldn't get it down. I can normally do a spice 2/5 at Thai restaurants, but this was unbearable. The ambiance is definitely casual, and there were plenty of families with kids.

I love low country. From the ambiance to the drinks this place is a vibe! This is the perfect place to throw on something cute and go out with bae or have a girls/guys night out. The decor gives upscale ship vibes. The service was awesome. Even though you order at the counter, there is always an employee around for assistance. The only suggestions I'd have is to hire an additional bartender. It took a while to place our drink order at the bar because the bartender was also waiting 4 bar tables. However, they definitely made up for it as a server randomly offered my table to roll dice twice and win 2 free shots. The drinks are tasty, strong, and have nice decor. Don't even get me started on the food. Seasoning is to perfection no matter what you order. Most of my group ordered seafood bags but with different levels of spicy. Let me tell you it gets hot! They also have some of the best cornbread I've ever tasted. Like most seafood broil restaurants the price can get a little pricey but they have cheaper options on the menu as well. Definitely worth a visit.

This place is a fun concept. It gets very crowded at dinner so unless you arrive early, you can expect to wait for a table. The food is just mediocre. It's what you would expect from a large restaurant selling shellfish that isn't local. Also quite pricey but considering the large amount of people going to this restaurant, clearly most people think the cost is worth it. You will order your food at the register in the back and then your food will be brought to your table. Must stand in line at the bar to get a drink so, there's a lot of waiting and service isn't part of their model so don't expect good service from waiters as you'll be doing it yourself. All in all, exactly what you would expect from a place like this. Go, knowing what to expect and prepared to have fun but don't go expecting five star food and service.

So we my best friend and I came to eat crab!! It's Sweetest Day and my man is at work and she's single so she brought me out... the first uh oh was the bar tender Conner said he just started today and could not make the drink called Fruity Cutie even though the ingredients are on the drink menu under the name of the drink. Then when I asked the manager about it, she said it's not that he doesn't know how to make the drink. We don't have the ingredients for the drink. RED FLAG.. We have never been here so we found out that this is a self-serve restaurant, so you scan the barcode at your table for the menu then you go to the counter, order your food, and the server brings the food to you. That was different, I've been to other Seafood Boil places and it's not like that. We waited 40 minutes to be seated it's Saturday and really busy, but for it to be busy it's not loud which I appreciate. They are playing different genres of music which is very nice. I found out bartender was filling in and he was super DUPER slow which was not good. I enjoyed my Combo B which is two Crab Clusters two corn and two potatoes and then I has everything seasoning and my temperature choice was hot. It was definitely hot. It also comes with jalapeño cornbread, which was really good and different and a drink. My best friend had a create your own boil. She had shrimp and lobster with corn and potatoes as well and she felt the lobster was over cooked because it was hard to get out of the shell. But she said the shrimp were really good. You have to find street parking or there is a parking lot less than half a block away. It was $7 for two hours we were there two hours and 6 minutes. I love Crab boils this establishment in my opinion was just ok.

Took myself out to Low Country again last month (September 16th, South Loop location), to treat myself to a birthday dinner. I had a craving for some lobster tails, so that's what I ordered, along with a side-order of corn. The below photo is what I got when the server brought it to my table and cut open the bag. The lobster was $35, and the corn was $3.00. Notice the absence of any lobster meat.I turned and looked up at all of the servers and order counter workers around the restaurant because I thought that someone must be playing some kind of prank or joke on me. They weren't.
