Lowcountry was the first seafood boil spot I had when I first moved to chicago. I searched " where to eat seafood boil in Chicago" and it was the first one that came up! They have amazing flavor with a thicker sauce, and a wide range of fresh seafood that perfectly curbed my seafood cravings. Service is a little weird. We sat there for 10minutes before we knew we had to order at the counter inside. Probably should add some signs . Otherwise the people are nice and there's a hand washing station in the middleIve been here 3 times now , 2times in south loop for take out and dine in and once here. So it's absolutely delcious. Looked at reviews for Lowcountry Loop and Chinatown locations and decided to take a farther Uber ride to this Lakeview location and happy I did.The service was okay, nothing special. The sauce and seafood were good and the flavors were delicious minus the cornbread as it was too oily and the jalapeño in it ruined it for me; that's just my taste though. The place is clean and wasn't too crowded at 5:30pm so lucky us.I would come back again and that says a lot as I'm not a seafood fan.

Wow. What happened here? Nothing good, let me tell you. Hadn't been to Lowcountry in almost 5 years. This will be my last visit. Sauce was still delicious, but head-on shrimps are off the menu. The "giant prawns" were stone cold throughout and when I told the fella at the counter where you order, but he didn't care. Worst of all, you had to run two different tabs - one at the bar and another for your food - inside the same restaurant. Which is absurd and made ordering more to eat or grabbing another drink way or obnoxious than it ever ought to be. We've got a lot of options for seafood boil here in Chicago. Lowcountry just go booted way down the list.

This was such a cool eating experience in a hotspot of lake view. I'm not too much of a city person as I tend to like my peace and quiet in the suburbs. However, I cannot deny that the city of chicago produces some amazing spots to eat. And lowcountry lake view certainly was one of them.I will say this place can be cheap or expensive, depends on the combination of seafood you go for. My gf and I went for the big shots as it was her birthday and I wanted to treat my queen. We went for the king crab legs, crawfish, potatoes and corn with (I think) spicy garlic sauce and garlic noodles as a sideI will say. This is a dinner if you don't mind getting super messy with and just say f*** it and eat everything with your hands. We loved the food as it was heavy in garlic, a little salty but flavorful as hell. I will say one side order of potatoes and corn wasn't enough - should've went for two as one order ain't itCrab was delicious and so was the crawfish. And everything with the garlic noodles was so bombI will say next time we go - we will try out some of the fried stuff. Awesome decor and amazing delicious food Highly recommend

The dude who was at the counter needs to work on his people skills. Otherwise, I really like this place. Service was fast and easy, food a little pricey but that's expected. I made my own boil with their everythang seasoning/sauce, and it was delicious.

Great selection of boiled seafood that has become very popular in recent years. I liked that it had a bar area but service from the bar was incredibly slow and gin and tonic was exceptionally bad. Any establishment charging more than $10 for the drink should pay more attention making it.All of the food items including side dishes like pasta and cornbread were very tasty. Crabs were quite meaty and nicely cooked. Beignets were also excellent as a dessert item.

I ordered two 1 pound shrimp combo bags. One bag had their "everythang" sauce with heat level 1. The other bag had Cajun with heat level 2. They honestly both tasted the same two me. Couldn't tell the difference. Most importantly, it was delicious. The heat level was just right as well as the sauce. The sauce also made the corn and the potatoes taste delicious. I hate peeling shrimp. Especially when all the sauce comes off the shrimp when you're done peeling it. So I peeled all my shrimp first, threw it back in the bag and shook it up to make sure all my shrimp was coated in the sauce before it went it my mouth. Absolutely delicious. I ordered online and this is the best service I have ever received with an online order. They text you, call you to confirm your order and call you when your order is complete. Will definitely be returning.

Portion size was pretty sizeable and I shared with 3 people. The taste itself was good but nothing to write home about. I am not too familiar with seafood boils so not sure what to compare it too but we got the mild spicy with the everything sauce. It is pretty salty. They give you a bib and a bin for garbage and there are hang washing stations. The price is more expensive but I feel like that's expected at a boil. Again, not too familiar so not sure what to expect. There is no service - everything is self service except for when you order.Would go again overall! Ambiance - outdoor bbq picnic vibes

It's Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday? Normally I would be dreading the weekday but not when low country has a RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING weekday special. It's $25 for a bag with a snow crab cluster, a bunch of shrimp, corn, and potatoes, with a side of cornbread???? I mean come ON it's such good value and it's so delicious, I got some garlic noodles as a treat too. Honestly if you add a couple of things to one bag it's a good meal for two people but also I can body the entire bag myself... I love it here...

Love this spot! Since my last review they have changed things. You stand in line to order and they bring your food to the table. I always get the DIY bag, and my favorite things to add are the shrimp, sausage and potato with a side of jalapeno cheddar cornbread. I would double up on sausage instead of getting corn next time. The everything seasoning is their most popular, though they have 4 options to choose from. You do have to work for your meal. The shrink don't come unpeeled, but that's past of what makes it fun. They provide bibs and gloves so you don't get messy. They have a sink so you can wash your hands in the restaurant.
