House-made Guacamole Chips (Plant-Based), Hazy IPA
Green Chile Mac-N-Cheese, very flavorful with the perfect amount of heat. Must try!
Soiree #8 is our annual art-centric party. Everyone loved the food from LoveCraft.
All The Fall Things - Roses By The Stairs
Maple Old Fashioned - very well balanced. Not too sweet, alcohol-soaked cherry and edible maple leaf are a thoughtful touch.

I really appreciated the staff being so kind and accommodating to a mom with a service dog & baby stroller. Even though my dogs clearly working in uniform and it's technically illegal to ask me what service he provides or if I could sit outside it happens all the time. It was soooooo refreshing to be welcomed in without the uncomfortable run down. Food wise it was one of the best meals we have had in Arizona yet! The goat cheese, lavender cheesecake with rosemary crystallized, honey on top is one of my new favorite desserts to date! Ambience was so cute! The decor was very Alice in Wonderland meets warm and cozy atmosphere inside and I can't wait to try their rooftop chandelier patio another time.it was worth mentioning that the owner was there when we were eating and she seemed so happy and kind to all of her stuff that's so refreshing! We will be back soon to try and get their Sunday fried chicken special as it was sold out!

Updated review for 6/2024.The food was exceptional and completely on point. Has been a few years since I have been here and the food is still fantasticAs in years past, the service was lackluster. There were exactly 10 people in the restaurant on this Sunday afternoon. The waitresses were very polite and only semi-attentive. You can smell the depth of smoke from 10' away. Delicious....Your outside sign makes people think you are a porn shop. Change the sign at this busy intersection.Looking forward to enjoying the yet, unexplored happy hour menu.

The service was nothing short of awesome. I'm my first time here and lived the atmosphere and vibe. I sat at the bar and was very well attended to. I asked about the chili verde stew and carne adovada and was advised to order the carne adovada. I asked for a taste of the chili verde and loved it!!!! Got my order of adovada and thought it was meh . I'm a fan of Dick's Hideaway carne and outside of tasting a bit burnt, didn't have near the flavor of the previously mentioned. That being said, I'd come back cuz the wait/bar staff was great, the atmosphere was great and the teaspoon of chili verde I had tasted great. Moral of this experience... GO WITH THE CHILI VERDE. Cheers folks

Came here based on the fact that it made a recent list of top 25 restaurants in AZ. I'm sorry to say I was disappointed. Their are many better restaurants in the Phoenix greater area (minus the great Barrio Cafe, Dies Mortis May 2024).The portions are more like tapas while the cost is at entree prices. The server, was not much of a help when we asked about food and drinks. When asked about the spiciness of their specialty dish Green chilies burrito, her reply was " it varies from not too spicy to very spicy depending on the chilies from that day." What? ! This was the same line she used to 2 other tables that came after us. I strongly believe that if this is your store's specialty as marketed on the menu you should know better. My guess is that the server either doesn't know or has never tasted it. She could have also asked the chef/cook how spicy is it today? *Caution: we noticed she tried to push for the costlier stuff and add ons.Food: French dip was good. I loved the horseradish sauce and au ju. The fries were plenty. Again I feel that 2 triangle small sandwich at $25 seems a bit pricy. On a side note, when you order fries, unless you really like Ranch sauce, skip the ranch. Why you ask? It's $2 add on for a tiny cup of ranch. At $2 each, it must have been made on site. It tasted like Hidden Valley brand to me. The other food like fried chicken was average. I've had better elsewhere. The decor on the inside was interesting. It was dark and goth like with velvet drapes in may places. I don't know if I'd bring children. The downstairs was definitely not kid friendly. In conclusion, I think you should come here for the atmosphere or if you're trying to impress your date, but don't expect great food or value. That's my 2 cents.... I won't even charge you for it.

We thought it was interesting that Arizona had New Mexican cuisine, being that we're from New Mexico we decided to give it a shot. The patio had a really nice ambiance, the drinks were good, and the Mac and cheese with brisket was really really good. It was excellent in fact. The rest of the food wasn't so great and honestly none of it tasted like authentic New Mexican cuisine. Where were the hatch chilies? The service was friendly but sometimes took a while to attend us. I would come back here again for the drinks and Mac and cheese without the expectation that it's New Mexican food.

True to its namesake it is a bit spooky which I love. Feels like you've entered a bar at the turn of the century. Great service, Anna was knowledgeable and nice. Enjoyed my Green Chile Queso and Cream Ale. The Smoked Prime Rib Wedge salad was okay, I felt I mainly got the fat from the prime rib.Lovely inside, and upstairs patio on a beautiful day is also enjoyable, but make sure you make a reservation for the patio because that was popular on a Saturday! And they have their own parking lot.

Went to Lovecraft for happy hourbefore and event. The outside area was not open due to weather. Inside is a bit dark with limited seating. Our group of 8 was seated quickly without issues. The guys enjoyed the beers. Food was good all around. Mac n cheese was lovely with mushrooms added. Queso was good, yet cheese sauce was only on the top layer of chips, so once you ate a couple there was just dry chips. The nachos with brisket were good and had great flavor.

I loved the vibes in this place! So stylish and cute the decor is top tier! Everyone working there was nice although the staff has the typical bar kind of look. I'd like for once to see more diversity in bars as far as body types and ethnicities. Sometimes you get the feeling like you're being looked at strange.. or treated differently if you don't look like the people at the establishment. However I was greeted and the people who served me were very nice and welcoming! The food was delicious and the cocktails did not disappoint! I will most certainly be back Please sit on the rooftop during sunset, it's absolutely gorgeous!!

I stopped in at Lovecraft a few weeks ago for the first time. I enjoyed my food and drinks, but it was a little too warm to do what I really wanted to do at Lovecraft... catch a sunset. If you really know me, then you know, I love to "catch a sunset" or "watch a moonrise". I stopped in yesterday to bask in the glow of only what God can create and assure we experience everyday of our lives... that beautiful glowing sun. The view to the west from Lovecraft is peppered with the span of North and Lookout mountains. The sunset sparked a beautiful orange glow and set the north mountain aflame. The only thing that could make the experience better is if the patio were further away from the traffic. Other than that, the sunset at Lovecraft was mesmerizingly beautiful and if you want to catch a beautiful sunset, this location easily hops into the top 10 places to catch a sunset in PHX for me.As for the food: prep yourself for spicy hot hot pepper laced dishes. We enjoyed a couple of things on the menu. But the standout item that I know I'll likely have Everytime I come back: the fries.Return Factor: 100%Often during the cooler season to catch a sunset.
