Zap's Tavern

I had the Country Fried Chicken dinner, standard with green and mashed potatoes. I just found out the potatoes are instant.. and I asked 'cause they are better than my mama's! ! ! The parking lot was full when I drove by around 5:00; it was still packed when I returned around 7:30. And the staff is running their bits off trying to serve everyone -- with big smiles on their faces! Very happy. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular... and I would know to wear ear plugs. Not the most quiet place for a romantic dinner! But good food, good service, happy customers, and hopping staff!

My significant other and I recently discovered Zapps in this past month and have already been back 4 times. The Atmosphere is inviting, the service is exceptional, and the food is outstanding. We've tried several of the food options and have yet to be let down. Now get your butt over here and try it out for yourself.

Originally went for the chicken wings and have been back several times for great meals and a great setting on their outside deck. Love the view and the food. Go west in Evansville and try Zap's.

Awful. Tenderloin sandwich extremely overcooked. Actually I say they burned it. Fried pickles were too spicy. My friends cheeseburger was ice cold and cheese wasn't even melted as if they threw. I night before serving. They only gave us 50% off meal. We won't go back

I had never been here before, but I am glad that I decided to try it. The staff is so pleasant, they make you feel like you are a long lost friend that has come for a visit. The place is spotless. It is out of the way a little but definitely worth it!! I had the Cowboy Fries for my lunch, they are actually under their "Starter" section, but let me tell you it was definitely to fill me up. Will most definitely be coming back here!!

Do not waist your money here. Better food and management at Burger King.Waited 1/2 hour for swill with an attitude from manager. I will tell everyone I run into to go to any place to eat in town but your terrible hole in the wall.

It was good food and beer. Nothing out of the ordinary, but we also went for dinner. The new part was nice and not too loud. The servers were friendly. I would go back. Maybe I'll find something special about it, but I'll go later in the evening for a more fun crowd.

Good food, good service with a great location. Has an outside patio area and inside seating. Great for all events!

I had a 40th birthday party there this past weekend and Zap's did a stellar job. I think we ordered about one of everything on the menu. We also polished off about 15 buckets of beer and tons of mixed drinks. They had anything you could want. Our group was a little on the loud side especially during the ND game but no one seemed to care. The waitresses did a great job which is not easy when you're around drunks. There was even a hard to resist ladies man in the group that could have made Ron Burgundy look like Steve Urkel....let's call him Tatt Gressel to keep his identity hidden. Most waitresses wouldn't have been able to keep their clothes on around him, but every single one stayed clothed the whole night...that was true professionalism.
