Yamato Steak House Of Japan

I ordered the seaweed salad and Lobster Rangoons for an appetizer. They appeared quickly and presentation was good. The seaweed salad tasted as expected as it is a dish I frequently order from many different restaurants during my weekly travels. Oddly though, the salad was served on an bed of icebeg lettuce salad mix, this is strange, and I presumed they may do this to reduce the quantity served. The Lobster rangoons were very good, fried just right , and were large enough I felt the value was good. They taste exactly like crab rangoons, but no lobster taste or chunks to be found.Next, I ordered a New York roll, the roll was 7.99 and was very small in diameter compared to most sushi places. Also the shrimp and crab pieces were xtra xtra small and I wasn't certain I even had a piece of both in each bite.Finally, I ordered Beef soba noodles and Miso soup to go, and asked for the noodle dish to be spicy. The MIso soup was a mushroom broth, tasty but not MISO. The soba noodles were actually raman noodles, it was so sweet I did not eat the dish, and no spiciness added, very disappointing. Not to mention the beef was almost jerky like in its texture. Not recommended and I will not return.

Based off of my approximate 5 times eating here, I can say that the food is always pretty good. One time it wasn't all that hot, but it's always at least tasted great. Price of the food is okay, you'll more than likely leave full for roughly $15-$20. Service on the other hand is pretty lame. I don't think I've ever gotten a good waiter/waitress, they've always acted like they don't really care about you.

My order for sashimi came as just two pieces of fish in a box- not sure why I was missing the bed of rice for it, but at least the snapper was tasty. My sushi rolls were all really good and fresh. I had a three lunch ones that were all tasty! Nothing on any information I found about them suggested they are open for take out only, but that's the case.

I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!! I come here all the time now that I've discovered it. Everything we've had here has been absolutely delicious! Super flavorful, huge portions and perfectly cooked. All of the employees we've encountered have been very nice, super friendly, and really helpful. They've gone above and beyond to ensure we enjoy our visit. We will be going back often! I HIGHLY recommend this place!!

Outside of building was run down and inside was dark and needed updating badly. We didn't expect much, but the place seemed to reflect the town in general. Man, were we surprised by the food! First out was Chinese crackers that went well with the sweet mayo dressing that's already on the table. My husband ordered salad and Shrimp Yaki soba and I ordered Tempura Shrimp & vegetable appetizer and sushi appetizer. All the dishes were nicely prepared and oh, so tasty! The salad was fresh and the mayo dressing paired well with the lettuce. His Yaki Soba was absolutely delicious with velvety soba noodles. My tempura and nigiri was pleasantly delicious. If we lived in the area, I'd happily dine here on a regular basis.

the food and service is always top tier! they definitely give you what you pay for, if not more. every time i eat from there i usually get the hibachi chicken with veggies and they always give me so much!! love this place and their food is super good.

Good service and good food! Great family restaurant! And the seating was great with two babies

Our server was sweet as she could be. Attentive but not hovering. The food was all amazingly fresh and hot. Our two favorite restaurants are right across the street from each other. We will make this a monthly trip

After being sat at a table that had at least been wiped down, it had enough standing water on top to wash your face with it you do desired. The waitress was seemingly very unenthused to even be there. Not rude but not friendly at all. I had Hibachi chicken & rice. At first, I was impressed with how quickly it was delivered. Hadn't even finished my soup, nor touched my salad. At first bite, it was COLD. Luke warm at best. Tried the rice, cold as well. Who knows how long it was sitting there, pre cooked. I don't send food back or reorder as I've seen the movie "Waiting" So, either eat it or leave. I ate it, but should have just left.
