Widow's Brew Coffee Shop is a nice little coffee shop and ice cream place in Clarksville across from Ashland Park. I've only been to the coffee shop on a couple of occasions, but have been to the ice cream shop numerous times over the years. The location is great. The view of the Louisville skyline is at its best here. They have an outside seating area to sit, relax, and enjoy said view. They have bicycle rentals during the warmer months, which is a great way to enjoy this area along the Ohio River. On my visits to the coffee shop, I only had coffee, but also noticed that they had baked goods in a case. They looked very appealing. The coffee was good. The service was friendly and efficient. No complaints.

A gem you will enjoy visiting again & again. On a afternoon drive we stopped at The falls of the Ohio. It wasn't open so we decided to venture further down the park for a better view of the city skyline and In doing so find a warm drink on a cold winters day we found it along with Widow's Brew Coffee and Ice Cream. First of all the building oozes welcoming charm in a three story home of another century with bold colors and gingerbread details. I was in for a hot brew on a chilly day. Jill the owner is a proud local entrepreneur who appears to love what she does. I took Jills welcoming recommendation to try the bourbon dark roast. Conti fresh roasted and iced coffee is her outsourced coffee supplier, as well as her baked goods from another local bakery. Both fresh and flavorful. There is a separate ice cream shop / trolley Next-door. I must say Jill is a friendly conversationalist. She explained her vision for her totally remodeled store with her own hip touch, she had succeeded!*Awesome unobstructed view of downtown Louisville from a front patio*! See pics. "Hello Thunder over Louisville"!Side notes; WiFi. Very clean gender neutral restroom. Street and lot parking. Limited unique indoor bar top seating.Large shaded front patio and porch seating. If your in Clarksville take a stroll by the river and remember to visit Widow's Brew.

I have loved Widows Walk Ice Cream for quite some time and was super excited to see that the new owner, Jill was turning the main level of the big house into a coffee shop. They have standard coffee and some breakfast offerings that she has brought in from another local business. The muffins are moist and large, but you'll also find danish as well as oatmeal cups. It's not unlike the case offerings at a Starbucks. What sets Widows Brew apart is the coffee and ice cream combos. My friend ordered off the planning menu board but you can create your own unique pairing. Hers was a churro cinnamon coffee over vanilla ice cream with a caramel drizzle. And as promised by Jill, the taste differed between drinking it and spooning it. My friend said it was amazing...meanwhile I was off to the back for some pumpkin ice cream. We spoke with Jill for quite a while about her plans, she is intending to keep Widows Walk open year round now, and she's planning a verify of events through the end of the year to keep it interesting. They're doing some live music, a Halloween costume contest with a trunk or treat, a food drive at Thanksgiving and a Light up Widows Walk for Christmas time.I cannot wait to see what all she has in store for us! I take everyone I know out to WW. The ice cream has always been a favorite. The owners, past and present, along with staff have always been friendly and great community partners. I love to see local businesses successfully operating in my own little town.

This is a cute little shop, with super nice staff and a great selling point with their affogatos (coffee/icecream combos). They all sound delicious, and I love what I've tried. Sometimes you want a little caffeine boost with your treat, and this is a perfect combo for just that. The only thing I don't like is their use of John Conti coffee. I just don't feel that it's coffee shop worthy stuff, and would much rather see something local offered. That, and the signage and stuff that goes along with having a mass produced brand like that is just so generic it ruins the coffee house vibe for me.
