Westport Whiskey & Wine

I don't drink whiskey, but I have a lot of family that enjoys it and this is my go to place for local/hard to find/interesting whiskeys. They are pricey, but the quality and variety is worth the splurge for someone who will really appreciate the difference. You also get that fun boutique experience.The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They even engraved a bottle for my cousin's wedding.I highly recommend them for rare/hard to find bourbon.

This is without a doubt the best place to buy spirits in the entire area. I have been familiar with this establishment for over a decade because of it's location next door to my favorite Japanese restaurant in Louisville. Back in the day the focus actually use to be more of the wine and they had a wine cellar in the back area for the expensive or very high end wines they carried. This is the area that is now used for tastings and other gatherings. I actually miss that wonderful cellar but can understand that the current market climate is highly focused on bourbon. As many others have said you can literally find almost anything you want here. Even many speciality items not carried by the big box liquor stores. I have a specific vineyard and type of grape of sherry that I particularly enjoy and this is literally the only place you can find it in the area. Shelf after shelf of wonderful offerings. They also have excellent and knowledgeable service something else that is also rare to find today. Make a stop here and just browse I am sure you will find something you did not know that you needed.

The folks behind Westport Whiskey & Wine are experts on spirits and have a great selection at their store. So don't go to a big box liquor store, when you can go to WW&W, at least in my opinion. I've found some great bottles of wine and beer at this spot. And on my most recent visit, I was in a bit of a hurry and looking for a certain brand of mezcal. I had called several liquor stores that were closer to me than WW&W, though I should have known better.While the other liquor stores hadn't even heard of this brand -- much less the brand's different labels -- the man who answered the phone at WW&W immediately knew what I was talking about. And when I arrived, I told the man behind the counter (not sure if this was the same guy I talked to over the phone) what I was searching for, and he brought be right to the exact spot on the shelf. I was in and out in five minutes.WW&W also has a great room in the back that they use for classes, and they host awesome events. Way back in the day, I remember going to a special Chambord-sponsored event that was chock full of all things purple. I had a great experience with my girlfriends and came away with so much Chambord swag, including a bedazzled hoodie, bowl, glasses and more.WW&W is just fun, and they bring a higher expertise to the world of spirits -- definitely a go-to for your libation needs.

In a land where we have a liquor store on almost every corner it is hard to separate yourself from the crowd. Westport has been able to do just that ... From their fantastic customer service to their tasting room, all easily achieve a five star rating ....And I cannot forget their store picks .. They have introduced me to some fantastic bourbons ...My wife and I have decided that Westport is our go to liquor store !

I love this place! It has a new find in every nook and cranny you turn into!Grab a cart and get to shopping! Visiting from another area, ask about shipping!I found some spirits that I had been eyeing and they were at or slightly under MSRP.Check this place out!

My wife has been searching for a store with a good assortment of Bitters. These would be a gift for her closest friend's birthday.She searched on line (Amazon etc) and local stores. She made phone calls to a couple local liquor stores.She could not find a couple specific types of Bitters she wanted, nor any store with a decent assortment. She came across Westport Whiskey and Wine and gave them a call, she spoke to Stephen.Stephen was very courteous and helpful answering several questions and making some suggestions. My wife asked if she could make the purchase with him over the phone, pay with a credit card and do a curbside pickup. Stephen said he would get her order together as soon he finished her call. Additionally he promised they would bring it out to the car when we arrived.Today we made the long drive to make the pick up. We called upon arrival and a young lady brought our order to the car. Everything went off without a hitch!Thanks Westport!

This place used to be one of the liquor store gems of Louisville, but it's gone down hill quite a bit. The renovation from two years ago was a big waste of money. Westport used to have the best beer selection in Louisville. Now the beer is confined to the cooler and nothing much special is here....just stuff you can get anywhere.The bourbon store picks used to be iconic, but they've fallen off as well. If anyone is thinking about coming in here, I wouldn't waste your time. It's not the same place.

This bottle shop has really gone downhill. I used to frequent it because of their selection, prices, and I've been able to get some hard to find bottles in there in the past. Well, the prices have skyrocketed making it hard to convince myself to buy anything from there. I'll go in and take a look every now and then but always walk out empty handed. They have some good bottles still, but the rarer bottles are marked up 100-200 above msrp on some. I get stores markup to make a profit, but WWW is becoming no better than the Liquor Worlds around here. The only redeeming quality is the staff. They're always welcoming and friendly.

The service was wonderful and great selection! We were able to taste a few things he had available that day and he helped us find what we needed.

This is one of the best places in the world if you want to try many rare bourbons. The Customer Service team is awesome.
