When looking at Evansville sushi this didn't stick out which is why I decided to try it. First, everything on the sushi menu is 50% off EVERY day!!The building has a bright green sign out front and the inside seemed more lively than a traditional sushi restaurant. Don't let the idea that this is a chain fool you, because not only was the meal served super quickly,but the sushi tasted fresh. My server was friendly and when I asked which items were most popular he did not waste a second to report that the Sony #1 was probably the most popular. I went with it and was not disappointed. The place could use a bit more class if it wants to attract sushi Lovers but I would eat here again.

Great atmosphere with classy look. We were greeted by a kind hostess and taken to a booth. Our waitress was prompt in greeting us and taking our drink orders. We opted for a couple of appetizers- spring rolls and bang bang shrimp. Both were commercially purchased. They were good but we could tell they were not made in house.I chose a sushi roll which they were willing to customize for me. My mother ordered steak and scallop hibachi entree. The hibachi entree was plentiful with a lovely presentation and very flavorful. My sushi roll was a disappointment. I've had some pretty amazing sushi and this fell near the bottom for quality. The wasabi was watered down, the cream cheese in my sushi roll also seemed watered down. The crunch coating was not crumbly as most crunch is - it was a thin pressed on coating. The eel sauce was watered down and very light brown in color.Recommendation: go for the hibachi but research for a better sushi place.

Wasabi is a more hibachi style restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious and flavorful! Every entree is served with a small salad and miso soup. While the restaurant is always busy the service and table seating is a friendly and fast service.

I have to say, you get a ton of food. There's so many items on the menu it took a couple re-try's from our waiter before we decided. It's an interesting place with all the chandeliers on the ceiling. Food is good and you have enough for leftovers
