Fantastic spot. From the get go, the drive is fun as you go through rolling hills to arrive at this homey building. Inside you are met with a cozy and casual place great for meeting up with friends. You order at the counter, which is lined with baked goodies to accompany the flavor packed sandwiches and other dishes they offer. On the side they offer fun treats and gifts as well, from cookbooks to honeys, sauces, bread mixes, and even more. The service is super friendly and prompt. Pricing is also fair with good portion sizes. Would definitely recommend, and highly recommend.Added bonus, I think it was featured by Guy Fieri, so if he says it's good, it likely is.

This was an impromptu stop for a late lunch, and Wallace Station did not disappoint! It was crowded inside due to a recent thunderstorm, but a table opened up just in time.Hubby ordered the Big Brown Burger with fries, one of Guy Fiero's top 5 burgers, and I had a panini-grilled County Ham and Pimento Cheese on whole wheat with orzo salad. Hubby said it was one of the best burgers he ever had! The fries were perfectly cooked too. My sandwich was very with sliced tomato inside. We finished the meal splitting a sorghum cookie; yum!

Fourth star for the country home attitude, and great service.DDD is too old and too long ago for the new workers to remember. But here is my story:as to the burger, the famous big brown burger that Guy Fieri says, "sits on his top five of burgers", I need to say that the jury is out on that. I didn't try it I saw it so it's unfair for me to make a comment, but from what I've seen, jury is outI had the inside out big brown wasn't bad wasn't anything to write home aboutWas my journey worth it? Well, it was a nice drive and I got here before the rain.I did notice that a lot of the local merchants consign their baked goods, and prepared items in the Wallace station for purchase. Keep that in mind they got some pretty neat stuff.Would I come back? Maybe if I'm passing to go to one of the distilleries in this area

First time here. Had the Turkey Rachel and a bowl of the Creamy Chicken soup. The food was so good. My taste buds are overwhelmed. It was, I need to lie down good. I would eat a gallon of that soup if I could.

First thoughts are the drive is worth the trip. About an hour from Louisville, 30 minutes from Lexington through rolling hills dotted with beautiful horse farms. We got there right at lunchtime and the line was out the door. Service moved quickly and in no time we had placed our order. My husband got the meat loaf sandwich on a brioche bun which he enjoyed, but the favorite of the day was the Big Brown Burger, which was like a juicy burger that collided with a famous Kentucky Hot Brown and was then sandwiched in a panini press. The burger is topped with ham, bacon, tomato and finished with a delicious white cheddar mornay sauce. There is plenty of seating, inside, outside on a massive deck or at picnic tables on the lush green lawn. Plan a day trip you won't regret it.

This place is probably one of my favorite discoveries since moving back to Kentucky. Wallace station has become one of those restaurants we speak about often and always with a smile. The food is great! What a nice building, so historic and well maintained. You will not be sorry for stopping in at Wallace station for a bite.

This is such a cute place with tons of charm. Very unique experience. I came for lunch but I'll be back to try more items and spend more time here. There are some seats indoors and some seating outside - both metal tables in the deck and actual picnic tables in the yard under the trees. I tried the ham and pimento as recommended from the Food Network, it was a very messy sandwich but very delicious. There were several sandwich combinations on the menu that I'm very excited to try in the future. Can't wait to go back!

I was working in the area and had the good fortune of eating at this cozy spot several times.Setting is an old house in the country with a big back yard.Food is above average deli/cafe fare...Cuban sandwich was crazy delicious! If the weather is right, sit outdoors and laze away an afternoon over some sweet tea and good conversation:)
