Wahmei Chinese Restaurant

You're probably going to think I'm crazy for giving Wah Mei a 4/5 but hear me out first. We all know the buffet is crap but that's not why I'm giving this restaurant an almost perfect rating. When you go to Wah Mei, you NEVER eat the buffet you order off that menu so it's fresh and hot. This place by far has the best egg rolls I've had in a while. I always order the orange chicken and they've never dropped the ball on a takeout order. They've always had the food read in ten minutes or less. So order that kung pow chicken from the house and it'll be ready by the time you pick it up fresh and hot like it should be.

I love their food, but truely needs to be a safer method of cleaning..my mother had the same issue months apart‍of also having a bite of fried rice with the same metal pieces..

I had the buffet on a week day after noon. I tried most of the food and it wasn't bad at all. There was nothing that really stood out to me tho. I'd eat here again if I'm in the area and craving Chinese.

Excellent selection and fast service. Have eaten here several times and definitely recommend.

I've been to a lot of Chinese restaurants in Chicago and Las Vegas. So for a small town that has one Chinese places? It's ok. I've never had an order wrong. So that's a plus. Is it outstanding? No. But it's decent food when you get a Chinese craving and it's all that is available.

Wah Mei is not your typical Chinese restaurant. The food here is delicious, and it is not typical because they serve a lot of food that really isn't Chinese, but is still foreign. Coming here allows you to try foods from multiple places. The buffet is awesome, if you come at the right time, and they have Superman ice cream which is extremely rare nowadays but 100 percent worth the visit to try.

For the area, best Chinese you can find. Wish they had something other than disposable soy, duck, and mustard on the tables, but when I am in the area and looking for lunch, I go here.

Had the opportunity to eat here on a few occassions. While not my favorite for a chinese buffet it was not bad. I prefer the restaurants with the hibachi grills as an option to their buffet. This one doesn't include such last i knew.

The food is starting to get worse on the buffet. The waitress couldn't stay off of there smart phones while they should have been taking care of customers.

I ordered take out at the window, the food I received was cold. The Chicken tasted as though it had been sitting out. The sauce was dried onto the chicken. The chicken was chewy and tough. I would not recommend it.
