Vat & Barrel

I have tried every restaurant in Seymour and this is definitely the best restaurant! The food is amazing tasting!I always get the fried ribs appetizer. Please don't pass this up! This will probably be the best ribs you've ever tasted. They are smoked and then fried. Very, very tasty. They had a special the night we were there for a tomahawk steak. A person in our party of five ordered it. Yes, he actually ate it all. The side order of scallops were very small. I would not recommend ordering them. This place also has outdoor seating with umbrellas. We opted to sit inside this time, but we have sit outside many of times. Great place, great employees, and excellent food. Wait time for food was slow and one of the owners was not very nice to "his" staff. He did this known in front of customers, which I thought was a real negative. Hence the four stars. The owner had wait staff serve "local celebrities" before others. The food, wait staff and cook are definitely five stars!

After spending a fun day exploring Seymour and the surrounding county, a visit to Vat & Barrel was a perfect way to cap off our afternoon.My favorite part of this restaurant (aside from the friendly owner & employees) is that all the drinks are locally sourced! So, we enjoyed a lovely glass of Holtkamp Avery White and Chateau Gnaw Bone Black Raspberry port.All of the food sounded wonderful but we decided to split a Rueben and it was a fantastic choice. So flavorful and fresh. Definitely 5 stars!

Definitely supports local INDIANA sourced items. Glad to here this and we went with alcohol aspirations we were went off the rails and went for a flight of desserts. Yum Yum Yum!Had a couple.of nice coffee drinks and a very delicious smaller versions of this trio; Creme Brule, lava cake and a cheesecake made in house with fresh berries.LOVED the staff, the atmosphere and was a nice alternative night cap with tasty treats.A must visit when in this small town.

Great atmosphere, great food and more importantly, great people. The V&B bourbon is my favorite. Any self respecting bourbon drinker deserves to give it a try. And ask Marc what the value play is, you will like it.

The best spot in Seymour! You must stop here if you can. Food and drinks delicious and a good variety. I would drive here from Phoenix regularly if I could. What a great experience!

So glad we finally got a chance to check this gem out! Absolutely amazing service! Good good and great drinks! We will be back!

Very friendly staff, great selection of wine, which is all I was there for. People around me got food and it looked good and they seemed pleased with it. I'm not a local but definitely will be back when in town.

Came from D.C and it's the best place in Seymour, need to try it out if you get a chance !
