Unorthodox is a oddities and clothing shop located on a Popular row of shops and bars off Barret Ave in Lousiville, Kentucky. I went shopping a few weeks back with my 5 girls and some friends when we stopped into this shop. The items here are very unique, strange, and can be very pricey. Everything from petrified bugs, old dilapidated baby dolls, animal skulls and just some edgy horror themed ear rings can be purchased here. Smaller shop that for my liking is more window shopping. I'm not interested in spending a couple hundred for a cow skull. But my daughter did find some earrings for a band she liked so we was able to do more than just window shop this time. Overall a cool place to browse and a very different shopping experience than most places can offer you.

Imagine my surprise when on my recent trip to Louisville to find this store unassumingly nestled between shops on Barrett. Now, I am not from Louisville but visit A LOT because my whole family lives here. My youngest had told me about a store full of funky goth/dark/oddities but I hadn't visited, and quite honestly had forgotten the name.As soon as I walked in, I gasped! This is the shop! My cold black heart was so happy, I went from room to room collecting art, stickers, and jewelry. In my home office, the decor is 100% Halloween/Horror/Goth and I brought home some great art to add to it.You can find books, clothing, art, stickers, animal skulls, jewelry, candles and so. much. more.I cannot wait to come back!!

I absolutely love Unorthodox! This shop boasts offering up some awesome oddities, curiosities, antiques, and art; and they're definitely making good on that and more. You'll find so many cool items here, including books, home goods - like decor and candles, jewelry, pins, t-shirts, prints, cards, teas, and so many other great options for yourself, your home, and gifting! If you're looking for a spot to shop for really unique and interesting stuff, Unorthodox is definitely a great spot to check out!

A shop of oddities, from artwork and taxidermy to earrings and posters. They also offer a variety of candles, smudging supplies and tarot decks. Their items offer a little humor and a lot of intrigue, including the book of death which includes family photos. Such a fascinating part of history and honoring loved ones that have passed. While I've not purchased anything from here, I am always pulled inside to look around. I recommend to take a walk inside to learn if Unorthodox offers you something you can't live without. This location feels bigger than their Frankfort Ave shop. Street parking. Website available to review and order products.

I've been going here since they were at their other location. They have a lot of selection & I always buy something when I go in. I've purchased bugs, wet specimen, bone jewelry, and so much more. Always fun to come and see what they have as it's different each time!

Nice little quick and to the point dark themed oddities shop in a cool little Kentucky neighborhood. Nine year daughter found a bunch of stuff to take back home. Loaded with books, taxidermy related goods, antiques, posters, boat loads of pins, jewelry, stickers...you name it. Place was killer! Not for people with extremely closed minds towards a darker end of style and or ideals.

ooooohhhhh my gooooodddd this shopis so darn cool!When I was a little kid I dreamed of having a shop similar to this (except it would have been in a hollowed out tree trunk not a building in Old Louisville, lol) and it was going to be called Oddities, Curiosities and Unusual Finds. Inside you would be able to get everything from 500 year old spell-books, to natural elements such as bones, metal and moss, to one of a kind items brought from the furthest reaches of the planet. And walking into this shop got me the closest I have ever gotten to that childhood dream. All kinds of cool stuff like that awaited me inside - art, jewelry, incense, candles - it was one of those places you could look and be mesmerized by everything you laid your eyes on. If you like unconventional things or just want a conversation-starter piece in your home, this is the place you want to check out. My inner child was so happy to see a part of the dream realized!

Always and forever a favorite. Small, locally owned shop of curiosities and oddities that can satisfy the weirdness of any black sheep of the family. Skulls, taxidermy, medical oddities and quack science items, X-rays, bugs, bone jewelry, fun pins, books, posters, candles, and much more inventory that is changing every time I go in. Love this place and highly recommend.

This store sold so many interesting and cool things. I bought some brothel coins, an art print and 3 old keys. I wish I had more money so I could have bought more.
