This was our third time going to Tuk Tuk and it was definitely the best! The last two times, it was more of a casual dining experience with ordering at the counter and finding a seat. A few months ago though, they transition to a full dining experience with table service! To our surprise, YOU NEED A RESERVATION! Thankfully they were able to squeeze us in at the bar top between two reservations. The service is always great, but being able to chat with Chef Sam a bit was a highlight to my evening. We ordered the fried chicken bucket special--a playful reimagining of KFC's iconic bucket/sides and wow! My favorite was the fried chicken thighs and the mashed potatoes. For dessert, we orders the mango fluff and OMG!! It is the perfect post-dinner dish. You have to try it!

We came here off of the Lexington Foodies FBpage, and it did not disappoint. The location is small and unassuming, in a strip mall where there is a lot of parking. It is obviously led by a head chef, who curated the menu to blend Sri Lankan and Southern food. It was amazing, really. The ribs, curry fries, crab pasta, and mushroom toast were the best things on the menu from what we experienced. I got the On Melancholy Hill mezcal margarita which was amazing itself, as well. The service was good, staff was friendly. Its great to see a spot like this in Lexington, and hope it does well. Will probably be back !

We came here because someone said it was the best fried chicken they'd ever had and my husband is quite the fried chicken fan.I really like the uniqueness of the menu items... definitely go out of your comfort zone here and try something new!Prices were very affordable (especially for the quality of food). I also love their drink specials (i.e. whatever the chef is drinking that day!)There is outdoor seating but inside is quite small, so if it's not outdoor weather, be sure to make a reservation! Will definitely be back! Also service is included with no additional gratuity expected (there wasn't even a space to add tip)- Love this and wish more restaurant would do it!

This is only my second time to tuk tuk but dang what an experience. The first time the food was delicious but I initially felt the price point was too high. This time I'm convinced that it's actually a steal. We tried the roti with both chicken and jackfruit curry that was phenomenally flaky and fries with jackfruit curry. The meatloaf was my one year olds meal but she and I were obsessed with it. She loved all the root vegetables too. The tamarind chup was probably the best condiment I've ever eaten in my whole life. I had the fried chicken plate that was outstanding. Actually maybe the best fried chicken I've ever had. My husband had the crab pasta and it was delectable. Family enjoyed the mushroom toast and the biscuits and gravy which were phenomenal. Chef Sam is incredible. She was so personable with my cutie pie and also brought her a kid size chicken curry bowl that she loved despite the fact that she usually doesn't eat rice. All drinks were fantastic. Service was quick, wonderful, and all suggestions were great. Ambiance is gorgeous filled with beautiful lights and plants and a tuk tuk. We will 100% be back. Thanks chef Sam for an incredible meal.

8/24/24 Tuk Tuk Snack is a hidden gem that my husband and I recently discovered for our date night and it left us thoroughly impressed. We started with the curry fries, which were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and had just the right amount of spice to keep you going back for more. The curry chili ribs were a standout dish--tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a delightful mix of savory, and slightly sweet notes that left us wanting more. The eggplant salad was a refreshing and flavorful complement, with a balance of textures and a tangy dressing that tied everything together beautifully. Not only was the food phenomenal and incredibly filling, but the service was also excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, Tuk Tuk Snack provided a fantastic dining experience, and we can't wait to return for another meal. Highly recommended!

Tuk Tuk Snack Shop has been on my husband's list of restaurants to try in Lexington and we finally made it over this weekend! We went at 5:00 on a Saturday- right when it opened, with two littles in tow (ages 2 and 4 months) the waitress welcomed us all and grabbed us a high chair. The restaurant is small but so cute and decorated in a retro-funky way! Our table was next to a wall covered in live plants and opposite was a tv playing old episodes of "the price is right". When we were seated our waitress brought bread & special house made butter to start which is always a nice touch. My husband and I started with drinks which were great while we looked over the menu. I ordered the deviled eggs and the tomato toast. Everything was really tasty and I loved that there were so many vegetarian options. The owner came over to check on our table and say hi which was so nice- she was so glad to see kids being brought in and wants it to be a kid-friendly spot. We all had a great dinner and will definitely be back!

This place was perfection! I stopped in on a night I was avoiding my family and wanted to try something new. I sat at the bar, watched Price Is Right from the early 80s and ordered an appetizer. I was then brought an entire loaf of bread, despite the fact I was drinking water and ordering an appetizer. While waiting, I saw all of the food coming out of the kitchen looking delicious, so I decided to order fries with a sample of their sauces and make it a full meal. Everything I ate was the best of the best quality and I was able to do it all for under $20 while sitting in peace watching a brunette Bob Barker. I am going back again tonight and may make it a weekly tradition until I've tried everything on the menu, one meal at a time.
