I rarely write reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share. We spent a staggering $400 for what was supposed to be a memorable evening, but it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment we entered, we were met with a palpable sense of annoyance from the staff. It felt as if they were doing us a favor by allowing us to dine there. The girl cleaning our table was shockingly rude and her attitude was downright disgusting. I was taken aback by her lack of professionalism, making us feel unwelcome in what is supposed to be an upscale establishment. To make matters worse, the atmosphere was anything but pleasant. The noise level was overwhelming, reminiscent of a cheap nightclub rather than a fine dining experience. We could barely hear each other over the din, which completely ruined our evening.Leaving the restaurant, we felt humiliated and regretful for spending such a large sum of money. It's disheartening to think that we were so nice and respectful to the staff, only to be met with indifference and rudeness in return. This place clearly has some serious issues with customer service and ambiance. I can confidently say that we will never return. If you're looking for a fine dining experience where you're treated with respect, I suggest looking elsewhere!

Tony's is one of the best restaurants in Lexington. It's located on Main Street right across from Rupp Arena. You can have a romantic date, a group dinner, or solid conversation with strangers at the bar. This was only my third trip to Tony's even though I lived in Lexington for six years. The prices always intimidated me, but every time I've gone, it's worth every penny. I had two Old Fashioneds, one with Basil Hayden and the other with Woodford. Both were fantastic. The bread is a perfect way to soak in the alcohol and prepare for a delicious meal. I didn't order any appetizers myself, but tried a few PEI mussels, which were pretty darn good. The biggest surprise of the night for me was the Seared Ahi Tuna Tartare. One of my friends ordered it and when I tried it, I was blown away! I'm getting that next time. The Sir Barton steak was the perfect size and a nice medium rare. The Mac and cheese was great as always. The truffle wedges were solid too, but I was too full by the time I reached that plate. For the prices, you get very generous portions. If you go with somebody, I highly recommend splitting dishes. That will go a long way. Final shoutout to our server. He had a lot of orders and checks to keep track of, and he got to us before glasses were empty and was pretty attentive for a busy night.

My family took me to Tony's for my birthday and I know I will never return. First, a few people in my party arrived late, we went ahead and ordered drinks while we waited. The waitress attempted to rush us to order, as I continued to tell the waitress we were waiting on the last of our party. We had to ask for bread, which I thought was given. My boyfriend ordered a streak medium, but came out medium well. We were very surprised, being Tony's is a steakhouse. Our waitress disappeared when our food came, we had to speak with a manager regarding our issue. We did not see our waitress until it was time to box up our food. No one an attempt to clean crumbs from table. Overall, Tony's was a very disappointing experience. Next time we will go to Jeff Ruby's.

A great steakhouse. In this area (Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee) Jeff Ruby's is the steakhouse by which all others will be judged. Tonys of Lexington's steaks were just as juicy and delicious and the kicker was I made the reservation the day before, Jeff Ruby was fully booked a week and half out. It's a very nice restaurant with the typical steakhouse decor though on the upscale side with heavy wooden tables and comfy leather covered chairs. It is a bit dark though and a tad loud. When I made the reservations the day before there were a lot of times available, they must have filled them all as the restaurant was packed when we arrived. They offered valet parking which was quite inexpensive as you get a discount with a reservation at Tony's. The sophisticated staff were very friendly and dressed in black and white. We were seated right away and service was at the right pace, never feeling rushed or waiting very long for drinks, appetizers and entrees. We started with complimentary bread and two kinds of butter, oysters (stick with the east coast oysters, the special Kumamoto oysters tasted a bit spoiled, as they usually do, I'm sure they're not as we didn't get sick, maybe that's how they all taste), jumbo lump crab cake which was delicious and your standard steakhouse Caesar salad. The steaks were phenomenal. Tender and well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I got the ribeye, my daughter had the filet and both were delicious and succulent as a great steak should be. For some reason my wife had some pasta dish, which she said was good but who gets pasta at a steakhouse. lol. Tony's of Lexington, when it comes to steakhouses, it comes second to none.

Came here for a work dinner and had a great time. Service was on point, friendly and professional.Food was amazing! Started with the crab cake and steak tartare, both were delicious. I got the pork chop, two colleagues got the filet and one got the sea bass. We got the Mac n cheese, creamy spinach, Brussel sprouts, truffle wedges, and sweet potato. Brussel sprouts could have been better if they had a bit of a char on them but that's just my opinion. Everything was excellent.

Overall, a great experience with good food and amazing service. We got the arancini which was ok, not amazing. The calamari was really good! The beef tartar was interesting in that the sauce was on the side and not mixed in like it normally is. Overall, delicious dish. I had a porterhouse steak and others in my party had a filet. All the meat was a little under salted but overall, great place.

For our anniversary dinner, we drove to Tonys of Lexington based on recommendation and reviews. We made a reservation for 8:30 and were seated upon arrival about 20 minutes early. Personally, I like to research wines beforehand so I know what they offer, what I might like, as well as compare the market price to the restaurant price. We ordered a bottle of Zinfandel ($75) that we thought was a good price compared to market ($62). Typically they are marked up excessively, so we want to make sure to get a good, and reasonably priced bottle if we're ordering one. My husband ordered a porterhouse, cooked medium and I ordered the 9 oz filet, med-rare, which was plenty big enough for me plus all the sides. The steaks were amazing!! Like butter, so smooth, cooked perfectly and flavorful! I ordered mine Oscar style, which I actually would have preferred without, as there wasn't much crab for the price IMO & the base sauce on the steak tasted really good. We split a wedge salad, it was plenty for two people, really good with big, fresh pieces of chopped bacon and fresh tomato. We ordered truffle fries, Brussel sprouts, and roasted mushrooms. All of the sides were large portions that could be split between four people. We didn't realize they'd be so big! The truffle fries were fantastic; large slices of potato wedges cooked crispy with small chunks of cheese, garlic, & rosemary. They were our favorite side. The brussel sprouts were roasted in a vinaigrette to a soft, crunchy state with fried onion straws on them, they were actually better the next day, and the mushrooms were good, but a little peppery towards the bottom of the dish. Our server was friendly, although not versed in gluten free menu items, and as you can see from the photo, the Brussels came with fried onion rings on top, which I can pick around since I'm only gluten sensitive. Overall, it was a good experience - some things we'd skip, especially with just the two of us, but the steaks were spot on & that alone gets 5-stars!

Incredible ambience and service. Food was exceptional and the overall experience was second to none. I had the filet, and it was perfectly cooked to medium just the way I like it. For a steakhouse in a large city, prices were competitive but not too steep. For 4 our bill was around $550 which consisted of 3 filets and a few bottles of wine. Would 100% go back and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great steakhouse experience.
