Tokyo Express

Tell city has a good spot to get Japanese-American style food. I did a walk in take out ordered of fried rice, gyoza, and a dynamite roll.I loved the gyoza and fried rice. I thought the dynamite roll was very good but had too much sauce, next time I'll ask for light sauce and it will be fantastic.

Very good never disappointed. General tso is always delicious. Egg rolls could be alittle bigger.

Great food, prices, and portions. I really didnt expect to find such great sushi in this little midwest town. very glad we did!

This place is fantastic! The sushi was excellent, top three for sure. Prices are very reasonable and the service was impeccable. This small strip mall sushi and hibachi is about the best you're gonna find especially in such a small area. Great experience overall. Would suggest the Manhattan roll and the dumpling soup.

Tried three rolls-spicy tuna, California, and the OMG and they were all fresh and delicious. Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant and will certainly be returning.

My wife and I had lunch here during a local visit with family. My dish was better than expected (General Tso chicken with brown rice) but my wife's was disappointing (chicken fried rice). I would return most likely

Best Chinese food in town. Always fresh, and always fast! Never had a problem at this place.

I would give it 5 stars, but I'm comparing Tokyo Express to Koji Express in Murfreesboro, TN where I currently live. We have hibachi grill every Saturday night when we are home so when we found ourselves in Tell City, IN after a day at Holiday World we were interested in trying this restaurant. The service was efficient if not overly friendly which is just fine with me. After studying the menu choices we settled on what we typically order at home: hibachi chicken in a teriyaki sauce for my husband and hibachi shrimp in teriyaki sauce for me. The menu includes various combinations of steak, scallop, salmon, chicken, and shrimp. You can also order a wide variety of sushi rolls. The hibachi meal comes with a side salad or broth. My husband had the salad which was very fresh with just the right amount of a slightly sweet dressing. Our meals without soda came to less than $20.What arrived was a large portion of nicely fried rice with scrambled egg, a vegetable mix that included broccoli, carrots, onions, zucchini, and mushrooms along with 8 to 10 medium size shrimp and a small container with, what I call, yum yum sauce. While we were there we saw many take out diners along with 3 other tables of people dining in including a family with a small child and seniors dining alone. The restaurant is conveniently located near the Ramada Inn and Holiday Inn. If you visited Holiday World and a tired of amusement park food, I recommend Tokyo Express. If we lived here it would be our Saturday night dinner.

Would have give them a 5 but the steak was a little bland. The sushi was on point. We will be back now that we found this little jewel. It's a must try if you haven't.

Passing through and decided to give Tokyo Express a try after seeing good reviews and a recommendation from the front desk at our hotel. The food was delicious, portions huge, and price reasonable. We also walked in, ordered, ate and left all in about 30 minutes, which was perfect because we were all tired. Highlights were the sushi, salad, and teriyaki vegetables; although it was all delicious. If we happen to be here again, we would definitely revisit.
