A small hole in the wall spot. Delicious food. I ordered a carne asada taco, a pastor sope and a carne asada pancho. The service was not too great. At first the server took my order and I asked her if she would remember my 3 items. She said she would and 5 mins later she came back to ask me to repeat my order because she forgot. She was probably new because she didn't really know the menu and I just stopped asking and ordered. I would go again just to try different things in the menu as their food had really good flavor.

Totally different and unique experience. This a is Hispanic Grocery with a restaurant in the back. When you get there you go to the back of the store and there is a Mexican restaurant. All of the patrons and restaurants staff spoke Spanish as their first language. It reminded me of trips to Japan or China in which I left the main tourist areas and had to figure out ways to communicate. My wife ordered a bottled water and I ordered some juice drink. Really not sure what was in it. The drink was white or watery in color and the wait staff called it "Aqua Chica". The drink was like a gritty water with a pineapple, banana and possibly lemon flavor. It was like nothing I have ever had.I pointed to the menu and thought I pointed to "Enchilada ". I actually received the item just above "Enchilada " which was "Chilaquiles ". I have never heard of Chilaquiles before. It was good. Chilaquiles is small fried triangles of tortillas covered in green salsa hot sauce and white cheese. Chilaquiles is flavorful and I am glad that I got it by mistake. The rice was bland which helped take the hot from the hot green sauce. The taco was good. I eat a little of my wifes. The ambiance was great. The wait staff really did not know what to do with us. Everyone was friendly but I think we were definitely not the normal customers. I will come back and try some more of their menu. It seemed like 90% of the patrons were getting some soup in the largest soup bowl I have ever seen in my life. All total with tip and everything we spent $21. I have never been to Mexico but this place seemed to cater to Spanish speaking folks. So maybe this was a cultural experience. Check it out if you want a very different Mexican food experience in Winchester.

Stopped by last December for some tamales they had advertised for Christmas. They were the best darn tamales I've had - tender and juicy with delicious sauces.
