Thornton Oil

This Thorton's is located on Blankenbaker, near I-64 and is my preference compared to nearby options. I work nearby so when the crave for Diet Mt Dew and nugget ice hits me, I drive over to fill up a cup and grab a bag of Grippo's pretzels. If I'm hungry and in the mood for junk food, their soft pretzels with nacho cheese or hot dog on the roller is known to walk out the door with me. Thorton's gas prices are competitive and will take care of you for drinks, junk food, candy, coffee and lottery tickets. The store is typically in good shape and the gas pumps are in working order. It's a popular spot though so be careful going in and out of the lot. If you stop by often, sign up for the Rewards card. Self check out lanes are available in addition to 1-2 manned by employees.

We just went in for diesel and the cashier told us to go to self checkout, just as she yelled everyone else to go to self checkout instead of the cash register she was at. We went to self checkout (to pay with a $100 bill) and it would not work. The lady cashier was not helpful and did not care to help us. Not a friendly atmosphere. I didn't feel welcomed and we went to the speedway next door. A much better experience there.

The lady who runs the place on weekday mornings works her TAIL off! Customer service is top notch and the employees there are so very friendly. It is also my favorite place for coffee.

Easy access to get in and out of when traveling. Located next to the Comfort Suites Hotel.

This is a little bit harder...I love the Company, they support our community very well. We have a Fleet account here, so I get all of my gas at Thornton's...However, I find that most stations are understaffed and not the friendliest. I rarely ever go inside...just pay at the pump and go.

Not a good experience for me. Pay at pump was out & cashier charged my debit card twice $36.37 for gas & icee & $35.00 for gas 1 minute apart. I'd just received my new debit card & now I had to terminate this card & get a new one & go through the trouble of updating my card info so my bills will be paid....I informed the cashier of her mistake and was told the $35.00 charge wouldn't go through....not a happy customer!!
